Qualcomm has just introduced its new-age Snapdragon mobile chipset for flagship phones. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ has arrived as the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm alongside the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1+ chipset. Soon after the announcement, smartphone OEMs have started confirming the upcoming premium phones that will be launched with the new-gen Snapdragon processors. Asus is one of those companies that has revealed its plans to integrate the latest premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. The Asus ROG Phone 6 is the upcoming phone to be driven by the Qualcomm premium chipset. What else can we expect? Read on to know:

Asus ROG Phone 6 Confirmed With Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ Processor

Asus has made an announcement that the upcoming ROG Phone 6 series will make use of Qualcomm’s new premium mobile processor, i.e, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Asus revealed this information via its official social media handles including Instagram. The teaser post has been shared via Asus global Instagram handle.

The markets that will first receive the ROG 6 series gaming phones are not revealed just yet. However, the brand might drop some more clues in the coming days soon. The Asus ROG 6 will possibly be the first gaming smartphone lineup in the global markets to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor.

Asus has only revealed the upcoming ROG 6 series chipset details as of now. The exact launch timeline for the successor to the ROG 5 gaming smartphone lineup is still under the wraps. We do expect the company to improve the hardware to offer better gaming experience with its new smartphone lineup. But what all changes the brand will make can’t be guessed at this point.

Other mobile brands are also expected to use the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. Some of the rumored smartphone OEMs are OnePlus, Realme, and Motorola. iQOO might also integrate the new-generation flagship processor to power their upcoming flagship Android 5G phones. The exact model that will be using the SD 8 Gen 1+ processor is not confirmed by the remaining brands just yet. But the announcements on the same should start dropping soon.
