Rumors are rife that TVS has started working on new iQube e-scooter models which will will mark their debut in the coming months.

Budget TVS iQube Electric Scooter Models: When Is The Launch Scheduled?

The affordable TVS iQube electric scooter models are confirmed to be under development by the company’s CEO and Director, Mr. KN Radhakrishnan. Revealing upcoming TVS roadmap, Radhakrishnan not only hinted at the new iQube e-scooter models launch, but also suggested the upcoming lineup to be priced aggressively in the Indian market to take on the competition.

Upcoming TVS Electric Scooter Models Pricing Details

While the price range of the new TVS e-scooter models is at large, it is expected to be targeted at budget consumers. There are other reports indicating the upcoming budget TVS iQube electric scooters to compete against the likes of the Bajaj Chetak and the Ola S1 Air in the country.

Just for reference, the currently available iQube e-scooter models cab be pruchased starting at Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex showroom). The top-model of the iQube e-scooter is priced at Rs. 1.46 lakh (ex showroom). This makes us believe the affordable TVS iQube electric scooter could be priced between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.20 lakh range (ex showroom).

The Ola S1X electric scooter’s deliveries have finally kick started in the Indian market. Ola Electric introduced this affordable S1 e-scooter variant back in August 2023 and has now made it available at the dealerships across the country. To recap, the Ola S1X has been launched with three battery options in India ranging from 2kW to 4kW. It sits below the Ola S1 Air and is currently the cheapest e-scooter model in the S1 series.

Ola S1X: What’s Under Its Hood

The Ola S1X despite being an affordable e-scooter model has a decent powertrain which will be apt for consumers looking for an eco-friendly city commute. This model is backed by a hub mounted electric motor producing 6kWh peak power. The S1X can be opted from 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery option with a starting range delivery of up to 95 km going all the way up to 190 km per charge. The range mentioned here is ARAI-certified.

The S1X base model has up to 85 kmph top speed and an acceleration speeds of 0-40 kmph in 4.1 seconds. The S1X with 3KWh abd 4kWh battery packs offer up to 90 kmph top speed and an acceleration of 0- 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.

Revolt Motors introduced the RV400 BRZ electric motorcycle with a starting price of Rs. 1.50 lakh initially. On the other hand, the RV400 BRZ e-motorcycle model was launched with Rs. 1.43 lakh starting price range. Now, both these RV400 electric motorcycle models have got more affordable in the Indian market with the flat Rs. 5,000 discount on the ex showroom prices.

There are additional benefits as well being offered on both RV400 e-motorcycle models which drops down the prices further effectively. The brand is offering exchange bonus too for the customers exchanging an old model. As per the official website listing, the standard Revolt RV400 model will now start at Rs. 1.35 lakhs, while the RV400 BRZ model will be available starting at Rs. 1.28 lakh.

Revolt Motors haven’t clarified if the latest price cut is a limited period offer or is a permanent discount. Nevertheless, the brand is unlikely to make any further deduction with the prices and therefore, it is the ideal time to make the purchase.

That said, both Revolt RV400 and the RV400 BRZ electric motorcycle comes with a 3.2 kWh battery with which they deliver up to 150 km range per charge. A mid-drive electric motor powers both electric motorcycles generating around 3 kW power. The RV400 electric motorcycle lineup takes up to 4.5 hours for a full battery charge from 0- 100 percent.

There is an additional corporate discount worth Rs. 5,000 on the Nexon EV’s MY 2023 stocks. The arrival of the new Bounce Infinity E1 series electric scooter comes via a leaked approval document from the transport department. Besides the model name, the document also reveals the key powertrain specifics of the E1X electric scooter.

While the upcoming launch is being tipped for the new high-end Bounce Infinity E1X electric scooter. It’s official launch date is yet to be confirmed by the company. But looking at the possibilities, we can’t rule out its debut in the coming months. There is currently no word on its pricing as well. However, the Infinity E1X will possibly be priced higher compared to the standard E1 electric scooter variant considering it will feature a bigger battery pack and is a high-end model.

New Mahindra XUV400 Models In Works

Mahindra XUV400 is reportedly getting refreshed soon. The company is launching multiple new models of the mid-size electric SUV. To recap, the company is selling three variants of the XUV400 in the country which are called EC Pro, EL Pro where the latter is available with dual battery pack options.

As per the rumor mill, eight new variants of the XUV 400 are heading to the Indian market. Monikers will also be rebadged. The upcoming Mahindra XUV 400 electric models are as follows:

The upcoming XUV 400 EV’s battery options will include a smaller 34.43 kWh model, a 39.4 kWh variant, and another 39.4 kWh battery model which will feature different cells.

Expected Range Delivery

Speaking of the range delivery, the XUV 400 with 34.3 kWh battery model will offer 402 km range as the existing model. The existing 39.4 kWh battery variant of the XUV 400 will deliver up to 456 km range and the 39.4 new cell variant will deliver up to 444 km range on a full charge.

Availability Timeline

Since there is no word from Mahindra officially, we can’t confirm how soon these new models will be added to the XUV 400 lineup. But we can expect the new XUV 400 EV models to come with the same asking price of Rs. 15.49 lakh as the current lineup.

New MG EV Test Mule Leak

The new MG EV’s test mule doing rounds online comes from a charging station in Agra. Covered with camouflage taping all over, the mystery MG EV can be seen docked at the station. The snapshots of the test mule shows the aerodynamic design approach which is a standard norm for EVs considering their hefty weight with the integrated battery module.

Overall, the new MG EV is seen sporting a curvy profile instead of a boxy attire. The production-ready test mule also reveals a polygon-headlamp design along with a full-width LED strip. The grille gets a mesh design and comes void of the charging slot.

For reference, the ZS EV gets a font-mounted charging slot. Instead, the test mule snapshots shows the charging slot on the side fender (right panel). Once can also see the dual-tome ORVMs and the curved rear profile. The back panel of the new MG EV has connected tail-lamp design. The EV sits on big 18-inch alloy wheels.

Upcoming MG EV In India: Expected Moniker, Powertrain, Features, And More

This new EV spotted in Agra is rumored to be none other than the MG Cloud EV which is currently available in the international markets as well. This upcoming MG EV will be built on the E260 EV platform and might be launched with dual powertrain options.

The MG Cloud EV could come with a smaller 37.9 kWh battery or a bigger 50.6 kWh battery option as the international variant. The former will deliver around 360 km range, while the latter is expected to offer up to 460 km range on a full charge. MG Cloud EV also will offer a fully-loaded cabin for comfortable and safe driving experience.

The Cloud EV’s cabin is said to offer a large 15.6-inch touch-enabled infotainment screen and also a digital driver display. Just like the ZS EV, the MG Cloud EV could also be equipped with ADAS and other advanced tech.
