Tata Curvv EV First Batch Deliveries Begins: Price, Variants, Color Options

Tata Motors have finally started delivering the first batch of its first coupe-style e-SUV, i.e., the Curvv EV in India. This development comes soon after the reports of the waiting period getting delayed started doing rounds on the web.

But does this mean the waiting period has been cut down once again? Well, that would be difficult to confirm since the Curvv EV has garnered huge interests from the Indian consumers across dealerships and some of the variant’s might be available in the later stages. Tata Motors is currently taking up the pre-reservations of the Curvv EV via its official India website and if you are interested, you can pay the token amount for the pre-bookings.

Speaking of the variants and pricing, the Curvv EV is launched with dual battery pack options and five trims. Pricing of the Curvv EV begins at Rs. 17.49 lakh with the top-spec variant priced at Rs. 21.99 lakh. As for the color variants, the Curvv EV can be selected from Pristine White, Pure Grey, Empowered Oxide, Virtual Sunrise, and Flame Red.

Tata Curvv EV Powertrain Quick Recap

Tata Curvv EV electric SUV comes with a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh battery option. The e-SUV featuring the smaller battery pack offers a power output of 165 bhp and a peak torque of 215 Nm. On the other hand, the larger battery pack model can generate 165 bhp of peak power and the same 215 Nm of torque. Speaking of the range, the 45 kWh variant of the Curvv EV is claimed to deliver up to 502 km range, while the 55 kWh battery variant can reach up to 585 km range per charge.

BYD M6 Electric MPV India Launch Imminent?

BYD India has just teased a new EV for the Indian market. The teaser share only a quick glimpse of the new electric vehicle. Only the glimpse of the pentagonal LED headlamp’s outline has been shared in the teaser with the “Coming Soon” and “Transformation to new Generation” tagline. The latter is likely an indication for the 7-seater design of the electric MPV.

Not much is clear by the teaser as to which model is exactly making the debut considering the details are limited. However, the rumor has started pointing the BYD M6 which is an electric MPV to mark its debut in the country.

For the unaware, BYD during the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show has revealed the facelift version of the e6 MPV. The brand had rebadged this e-MPV model as BYD M6. TVS iQube E-Scooter Fire Accident

A new video has been uploaded on the microblogging website X (formerly Twitter) showing a TVS iQube e-scooter bursting into flames. The incident happened while the e-scooter was standing still and was parked in the basement of an apartment. It is being reported that the iQube e-scooter was being charged when it went up in flames. The viral video shows the burning e-scooter was surrounded by other vehicles including EVs.

It is the second such incident where a TVS e-scooter has been associated with a fire accident. The exact reason for the fire accident is not yet confirmed. But as specified, the e-scooter was getting charged during the accident and a wall mounted charger can also be seen right next to it.

But what made the situation worse is the thick black smoke that engulfed the surroundings emitted from the burning plastic parts. Thankfully, residents of the buildings acted swiftly and managed to get the nearby vehicles removed to avoid any further mishaps.

What Does TVS Say?

As of now, TVS has not reacted to the matter and is yet to acknowledge or start with the investigations. Nevertheless, the video suggests the fire didn’t start by any battery blast and the exact reason is yet to be known. It is being anticipated that the malfunction with battery setup could be the reason. Whatever may be the case, it’s high time the EV manufacturers find a adequate solution with such fire incidents putting customers safety at risk.

Mahindra BE.05’s latest walk around spy video shares the glimpse of the cabin along with the infotainment screen and the steering wheel design. MG Motor India has shared yet another short teaser video on its official YouTube channel. This time, the luxury SUV manufacturer has shared the glimpse of the touchscreen infotainment screen inside the Windsor EV’s cabin. Mahindra BE.05 E-SUV Test Mule Snapped With New LED DRLs

Mahindra BE.05 will be amongst the first five EV’s which is in pipeline for India launch which has been showcased in the concept form already. However, the production-ready prototypes have been spotted getting tested several times in the country. The latest test mule spy shots of the BE.05 is said to be of the top-end trim which can be seen with new C-shaped LED DRLs upfront.

The DRL setup seems to be large taking on majority of the BE.05’s fascia vertical alignment adding to a more futuristic visuals while keeping a check on the aerodynamic approach. Besides, the LED DRL setup spotted with the test mule is apparently production-ready unit.

Also, the DRL design for the base and the top model will likely differ. This is considering dual variants of the BE.05 has been spotted with distinctive design elements. Moving on to the rear profile, the BE.05 will get the same C-shaped LED signature tail lamps. The twin roof spoiler is also visible with the spy shots which indicates Mahindra is carrying forward this feature from the concept model. MG Windsor New EV Official Teaser

MG Windsor EV’s latest teaser video shows the upcoming CUV being tested for its real-life road performance. The CUV’s test runs have been conducted in Rann of Kutch which is known to be India’s one of the most challenging terrains. The weather conditions are also known to be extreme in this region; specifically the soaring summers.

The Windsor EV CUV testings have been conducted in extreme summer conditions with the temperatures reaching up to 44°c. Ather Care Plus, Care Max Service Packs For 450 And Rizta E-Scooters

Ather is apparently trying to come up with a cost effective after sales service solutions for its customers. As per the reports, the E2W manufacturer will soon launch new Ather Care Plus and Ather Care Max packs. The updated services will be rather offered at reasonable costs bringing a relief to customers worried with higher service charges for an EV.

The leaked screenshots of the upcoming Ather Care service packs doing rounds online suggests them to be annual plans which one have to renew to continue with the benefits . Also, these service packs will be valid till 10,000 km distance.

As fas as the plans and the services are concerned, the Ather Care Plus which we expect to be the cheaper one will offer a discount of 10 percent twice annually on wear and tear part replacement, 15 percent discount twice annually on labour charges for wear and tear service, free periodic maintainence twice annually, and free polishing, free wash one each.

On the other hand, the Ather Care Max service pack as per the leak will offer the same deals as the Ather Care Plus but will also offer additional free brake pad replacement twice, Free ExpressCare service twice, free belt lubrication, and extra polishing and extra wash one each.

Maruti Suzuki eVX Global Launch In 2025?

Maruti Suzuki will be announcing the eVX next year. A senior executive from Maruti has revealed the timeline for the company’s first electric SUV’s official debut globally. According to the reports, the final production-ready variant of the eVX will be breaking covers during the Auto Expo 2025 event which is scheduled for January 2025 in India. The launch is expected in the early half of 2025.

It is further being reported that the eVX will be Maruti’s international product offering and the company aims to make it an priority for the international markets, specifically, the European regions as well as the Japanese market. Also, the mother plant for the eVX will be set up in India.

Looking at the developments, Maruti would likely commence the production of the eVX starting the first half of 2025. The company is aspiring to manufacture around 1.5 lakh units annually for export in the European and Japanese markets.
