Mahindra has emerged as the leading brand in the electric four wheeler segment after adding two future-ready e-SUVs to its portfolio, the XEV 9e and the BE 6. The latest XEV and BE series e-SUV models have been introduced with the latest INGLO platform based on which the brand is planning to launch another new electric SUV model soon. The recently filed trademark for the XEV 7e confirms its upcoming launch. And now, the upcoming e-SUV has been spied during its test runs revealing the production-ready exterior design.

Mahindra XEV 7e Test Mule Snapshosts Leaked

The spy shots of the XEV 7e production-ready unit has been leaked for the first time after the trademark images surfaced online. The first glimpse of the XEV 7e shows an identical design approach as the XUV 700 ICE model. However, the spy shots shows a missing exhaust pipe indicating it to be the all-electric variant of the XUV 700.

Besides this minor change at the rear, the overall silhouettes and curves are exactly the same the ICE variant. Even the rear tail-lamp design has not been changed on the EV model. The latest spy shots of the XEV 7e doesn’t showcase the fascia.

However, this is where things are said to be different when compared to the ICE unit. The XEV 7e might be introduced with a closed grille design upfront just like the newly launched XEV 9e and the BE 6. It is also said to include updated vertically-stacked headlamp design like the former. It is also being anticipated that the XEV 7e will feature flush-fit door handles and new set of alloy wheels. More details should be confirmed in the coming months before the official unveiling.

Mahindra XEV 7e Expected Arrival Timeline

Tata Electric Vehicle Price Hike: Models And Expected Price Surge

Automobile brands including Tata are planning to give a price hike to their popular car models. Tata Motors will be giving a price hike to its PV (passenger vehicle) portfolio starting next year. The company will be increasing prices of the ICE and EV car models. The increased prices will be reflecting on Tata cars starting January 2025 itself.

At this point, Tata has not announced the complete list of the models that whose prices will be increased from next year. However, all models including the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, and the Curvv EV will be sold at higher rates starting Jan 2025. As for the increased prices, a systematic price hike of 3 percent on all Tata EVs will be applicable from next year.

What’s The Reason For Price Hike?

The reason for the inflation in the prices is said to be the increased input and inflation costs. Tata Motors have itself revealed why the prices are being hikes. But seems like the wait is over and the deliveries of the TVS sports-style electric scooter will commence soon.

TVS X Electric Scooter: When And Where Does The Deliveries Commence?

The TVS X electric scooter deliveries in India will be kicking off in the next couple of days. The company will be delivering the first lot of its sports electric scooter in Bengaluru. While the exact dates are yet to be confirmed, we can expect the first batch to be hit the dealerships by the coming days.

TVS has not yet confirmed as to when this sports electric scooter will be made available in the remaining Indian cities. But as pr the reports the company will start delivering this e-scooter in remaining regions gradually in a phased manner.

Any Changes In Pricing?

Despite the deliveries getting delayed by almost a year, the prices of the TVS X electric scooter will not be changed. This electric scooter was introduced at an introductory price of Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex showroom) in the Indian market. This e-scooter comes in a single trim that features a PMSM motor producing 11 kW of peak power and a peak torque of 40 Nm. A 4.4 kWh battery is linked to the motor offering up to 140 km range.

Airtel introduced its advanced AI solution to detect and alert customers about spam calls and messages in real time.

Massive Scale Of Spam

Over 6 percent of all calls on Airtel’s network were flagged as spam.
2 percent of SMSes were identified as spam.

Impact On Customers

252 million unique customers received spam alerts.
A 12 percent decline in customers answering spam calls was observed.

Landlines: A Surprising Contributor

35 percent of spam calls originated from landline numbers.

Geographical Trends

Spam call targets: Delhi led, followed by Andhra Pradesh and western Uttar Pradesh.
Spam call origin: Delhi topped with Mumbai and Karnataka trailing.
Spam SMS origins: Gujarat led, followed by Kolkata and Uttar Pradesh.
Spam SMS targets: Customers in Mumbai, Chennai, and Gujarat were the most affected.

Spam Patterns

76 percent of spam calls targeted male customers.
Peak spam activity occurred between 12 PM and 3 PM with volumes rising throughout the day.

TRAI Guidelines

Telecom providers were instructed to implement spam control strategies such as real-time spam detection and URL whitelisting. These rules are met by Airtel’s solution.

DND Numbers And Prefixes

Service and transactional calls use a 160 prefix.
Promotional calls appear from 140-prefixed numbers for non-DND subscribers.

It’s the safety with fire accidents. Repeated incidents are being reported where an electric scooter and even electric cars going up in flames jeopardizing passengers safety. A fresh video is circulating online showing smokes emerging from a Bajaj Chetak electric scooter once again raising safety concerns amongst EV owners. An X (previously Twitter) user, going by the The MotorOLA Man handle has shared a video showing smokes emerging out of a Bajaj Chetak electric scooter. It seems the e-scooter only had the fumes coming out and didn’t go ablaze completely. In the video, the e-scooter can be seen lying on the busy traffic signal which as per the reports is somewhere around Jalna Road, Maharashtra.

Thankfully, the fire brigade was swiftly came in action a a team was deployed to get a control on the situations. The officials have suggested that two farmers called Bhagwan and Ravindra Chavan hailing from Varvandi village came to Chhartrapati Samhajinagar to purchase water pipes when this incident took place.

Both these farmers were apparently waiting at the traffic signal when they were alerted by the smoke emerging out of their Chetak e-scooter. The e-scooter was then taken on the roadside and the fire brigade officials were alerted.

Bajaj Auto’s Response On The Matter?

Bajaj Auto have acknowledged to the matter and has confirmed that a probe have been initiated. The company is not certain as to what caused this accident.
