Skoda Elroq EV which will be the next entry-level electric SUV from the brand is set to launch on October 1, 2024. Skoda Auto is planning a global launch for the Elroq EV and we might see it in the Indian market as well. As tipped by the leaks and rumors, the Elroq will be an affordable offering from Skoda in the e-SUV segment and is said to keep its pricing within Rs. 25 lakh to Rs. 30 lakh range. However, this pricing isn’t confirmed by Skoda yet, hence, it should be considered as a grain of salt.

Skoda Elroq EV: Design And Features

Skoda has shared the teaser of the upcoming entry-level e-SUV which hints an updated design. It will flaunt a full-width LED light bar upfront along with boomerang-style LED headlamps and LED DRLs. The closed-off front grille along with crab-arm signature LED tail lamp will add up to its aesthetics.

The Elroq EV is rumored to be launched in four different trims including Elroq 50, Elroq 60, Elroq 85, and Elroq 85+. The Elroq 50 (base variant) has a 125 kW motor pack linked to a 55 kWh battery.

The Elroq 60 will come with a 150 kW electric motor combined wit a 63 kWh battery, whereas, the Elroq 85 and 85x variants get an 82 kWh battery pack linked to a single and dual motor packs respectively. The Skoda Elroq is said to deliver up to 530 km range but the variant-wise range is not specified as of now.

MG Windsor EV Test Drives Started: When Does Pre-Bookings Begin?

MG Motor India has started sending Windsor EV’s test drive units across dealerships. Interested buyers can visit their nearby MG dealerships to take a test ride of the Windsor EV. The pre-bookings are reportedly becoming active soon. As per the previous reports, the bookings start on October 3 in the country.

To recap, the Windsor EV arrived with a starting price of Rs. 9.99 lakh combined with the battery rental plan of Rs. 3.5 per km. There are three different variants including Excite, Exclusive, and Essence with the base model carrying a starting price of Rs. 13,49,800 and the top variant bring priced at Rs. 15,49,800.

MG Windsor EV is the country’s first intelligent crossover utility vehicle featuring an Aeroglide design, a larger fixed glass sunroof, a 15.6-inch Grandview touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, and an 8-inch digital driver display. It’s 135° reclining seats is segment-first feature making the cabin more premium. A 38 kWh LFP battery pack drives the Windsor EV and churns out up to 331 km range of full charge. Apple has released the call recording option for iPhone users after all the wait. This feature is being made available to iPhones via iOS 18. The update is being released as a beta and you’ll need to update your device to iOS 18.1 beta to access and use the call recording feature. Since this update is currently in the beta state, it could take a while for the stable version to be available for the masses.

Earlier, iPhone users had to resort to a third-party app for recording outgoing or incoming calls. As previously mentioned, the call recording will now be a direct process with iPhones that are running on iOS 18. Using the native calling app itself, one could record ongoing calls.

Step 1: Launch the dialer app on your respective iPhone

Step 2: You need to make a call to initiate recording. You can also start recording after receiving a phone call.

Step 3: A “record” button will pop up on the top-left corner once the call starts. Tap on it.

Step 4: You will now see a notification stating “This call will be recorded”. Accept it.

Tata Nexon EV Red Dark Edition Highlights: What’s New

The Nexon EV Red Dark edition’s gets special all-black exteriors with slight red accents both on the fascia and the rear. There is also a new Red Dark labelling on the front-fender. The cabin also gets a makeover with the dashboard being blacked-out and the seat upholstery painted red to complete the red dark theme.

The Nexon EV Red Dark Edition’s cabin has also received feature enhancements. The panoramic sunroof now supports voice controls and there is also a connected car tech. The latest edition of the Nexon EV Red Dark edition has a full LED lighting setup and dual 10.25-inch display for infotainment and driver.

As for the powertrain, the Nexon EV Red Dark Edition will be available with only 45 kWh battery pack. This is the new large battery variant which Tata had introduced alongside the Nexon CNG. The e-SUV will be offering around 379 km range on a single charge (real- world range). With a 60 kWh charge, it will take around 49 minutes for the battery to get 10- 80 percent charge.
