JSW MG Motor has launched segment’s first Intelligent CUV, the Windsor EV in India promising to offer a comfort of sedan combined with an expanse of SUV. The new EV is fully loaded in terms of modern amenities and offers a luxurious cabin with a GrandView touchscreen infotainment system, aero-lounge seats, and more. MG had revealed the introductory price for the Windsor EV along with a battery rental plan. After all the wait, the brand has revealed its ex-showroom prices in India. MG Windsor EV is priced starting at Rs. 13,49,800 in India making. Just for reference, MG Motor India has launched the Windsor EV in three different trims namely Excite, Exclusive, Essence. The top-most model of the Windsor EV, i.e, Essence comes with Rs. 15,49800 price tag.
All variants of the Windsor EV have been introduced in Starbust Black, Pearl, White, Clay, Beige, and Turquise Green. MG will start taking pre-orders for the Windsor EV starting October 3, 2024 with the deliveries commencing later.
During the launch, MG Motor revealed lifetime warranty offer for the first time customers, one year of free charging at public charging stations, and assured 60% buyback after three years.

New Maruti Charging Stations Installation Underway?
Maruti has started considering several points to setup up its exclusive charging network. The auto giant is said to be bring a robust network where its EV buyer would get to charge their vehicles. Up to 25,000 of dedicated Maruti charging stations are said to be in pipeline with the brand already being on the search for suitable locations.
Besides the dealerships, Maruti is also considering fuel stations for to install its EV chargers. It appears, Maruti wants its EV customers to get a piece of mind with the charging facilities spanning over 5100 service centers in 2300 cities. As per the reports, Maruti is aiming to provide at one dedicated bay with dual charging points on each of the station. The company has roped in several retail outlets and fuel stations and is in talks for the same.
Maruti Suzuki eVX has been displayed as a concept and its test mule has also been snapped where we got its real-life glimpses. The upcoming EV will feature an all LED-light setup, a panoramic sunroof, and two-spoke steering wheel. It could debut with up to 60 kWh battery with linked with a front-axle mounted single or a dual motor AWD setup. The eVX is expected to offer up to 500 km range charge and be equipped with Level 2 ADAS and a 360° camera safety suite.

Notably, during the launch, Ather was offering this smart helmet at an introductory price of Rs. 12,999. The offer price for the Halo half face helmet has been set at Rs. 4,999.
That said, with the latest price drop of Rs. 3,000, the Halo smart helmet will be up for grabs at just Rs. 9,999. This lower costing does make it an exciting deal considering the range of smart tech features along with safety you get with this helmet.
But wait, if you are making up your mind to buy the Ather Halo smart helmet with the discounted price then there’s a catch. Ather has announced the new price drop deal only for the early bird consumers. This means the customers who had done the pre-bookings for the Halo smart helmet will have to pay just Rs. 9,999. Other consumers will have to buy this helmet with the standard pricing.
Notably, Ather hasn’t yet commenced the deliveries of the Halo smart helmet. But there are reports suggesting the units have reached the authorized dealerships. Hence, we can expect the availability soon.

Hyundai seems have started working on the rugged variant of the recently launched Inster EV. The compact EV as seen in the test mule images can be seen with the same additional accessories as the high-end Ioniq EV’s rugged model. The add ons primarily include robust bumpers both up fromt and the rear.
The Inster EV rugged version will also feature larger wheels and alloys as per the leaked snaps. The overall approach hints an off-roader capable compact EV that could take on some extreme terrains. There are reports indicating the Inster XRT moniker for this rugged variant. However, we would suggest to wait for the official announcements regarding the same.
We are not sure if the Inster EV’s rugged variant will be launched with a dual battery pack as the standard model or it will be introduced with a just single battery pack option. To recap, the Inster EV has gone official with a 42 kWh abd a 49 kWh battery option.
The base model of the Inster EV with the smaller battery pack produces 96 bhp of peak power, while the higher-spec model offers up to 113 hp of peak power. The former can reach up to 100 kmph top speed, while the latter reaches up to 150 kmph. The range delivered by the Inster EV is up to 355 kmph. But with the rugged version it could differ.

The Kia EV9 will be debuting as an ultra premium electric SUV which as the per the leaked specs will be integrated with dual motor AWD setup. The flagship e-SUV will be producing 384 PS of peak power and up to 700 Nm of torque.
Kia will be using the E-GMP platform for the EV9. This same platform is also used by the Hyundai’s premium EV, i.e., the Ioniq 5. A beefy battery pack of 99.8 kWh capacity will be packed inside the EV9 with which it will provide up to 561 km (ARAI-certified range) on a single charge. With a 350 kW fast charger, the EV9’s battery will take around 24 minutes for 10- 80 percent of charge.
The India-bound EV9 model is further rumored to arrive with the same combined 12.3-inch infotainment screen and driver display. Other advanced features expected are a panoramic moonroof, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

BMW Motorrad is all set for its second E2W launch in India. Following the CE 04, the company is bringing yet another premium e-scooter, i.e., the CE 02. BMW has already commenced the pre-bookings confirming its upcoming launch in the country. While the date is not revealed officially, words doing rounds that the deliveries of the CE 02 e-scooter could begin from September itself.

Currently, the details related to the new Kinetic electric scooter are vague but a mystery model from the brand had been snapped multiple times during testing. The urban commuting e-scooter from Kinetic will be the second big launch after the Luna e-moped.
BGauss RUV 350 is another e-scooter model which is expected to be available soon in India. BGauss had officially unveiled this e-scooter a while back and has started its production recently at its Chakan manufacturing unit. Now, Google has started dishing out a new update which will make it easier for the users to add a stop while navigating to a new location. This feature has already been available with the Google Maps Android and iOS mobile apps, but has been missing from Android Auto.
The latest “Add Stop” update is being rolled out as a beta update and is available with v12.9 beta. While this is not an entirely new feature, Google has made the revisions to make it easily accessible during the drives. One would now be able to add stops directly while starting the navigation.
The steps to add a location in Google Maps while using it on an Android Auto is easier than before. As soon as a user searches for a new location, Google Maps on Android Auto will show up two options including Start or Add Stop. Selecting the latter will allow adding up a new location between the start and the end point.
It is worth noting that this update is currently being rolled out as a beta version. The stable version is expected to be released in the future with the OTA update rolled out in a phased manner.

Revolt RV400 Updated Version Highlights: What’s New?
The newly launched Revolt RV400 variant has received no major design upgrade. It’s just the new color schemes that the e-motorcycle has received. Besides the existing color options, the updated RV400 e-motorcycle will now be available in Lunar Green paint scheme as well.
All the remaining structure of the e-motorcycle remains intact. Except for the new additions which include a centre stand. The updated RV400 have also received new set of leg guards. The features that will now be available with the RV400 will be Reverse mode and also a new digital display which gets Bluetooth compatibility to pair smartphones.
The powertrain has received no alterations in the updated RV400 electric motorcycle. It gets the same mid-drive electric motor with 3kW output. While the 3.24 kWh battery pack remains intact, it is refined for a better performance providing an extended range of up to 160 km per charge. The previous range delivery with the Revolt RV400 electric motorcycle was up to 150 km per charge.
The charging time for the battery pack will be up to 90 minutes as per the brand. These charging speeds will be achieved with the new fast charger which customers can buy from the nearby dealerships.
