The electric scooter segment has become a hot shot for all the automotive giants in India. Ather, Ola, TVS, Hero, and other popular two-wheeler manufacturers have introduced their iteration of an electric scooter for Indian consumers. Honda is also set to bring the electric version of its iconic Activa automatic scooter. Previous reports have hinted at Activa electric’s official launch by March 2023. However, a new report suggests its debut earlier than the previously tipped timeline. Check all details here:
Honda Activa Electric Scooter New Launch Date Revealed
The Honda Activa electric scooter was previously rumored to go official in the Indian market by March 2024. However, the brand has now confirmed its arrival alongside the upgraded standard Activa 2023 version in January 2024. This launch timeline is almost two months prior to the one tipped earlier.
While the brand has revealed the January 2024 launch timeline for the Activa electric scooter, it is yet to announce the exact date for its arrival in the country. Honda has not revealed the pricing details of the Activa EV just yet. But rumors suggests it will be going up against the likes of Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, TVS iQube, and other popular e-scooters.

With this we can expect the Activa EV’s price to be somewhere within Rs. 1.20 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh. This is an anticipated price range and we will know the exact pricing once the electric scooter is made official in the country.

Honda has kept the powertrain and features of the upcoming Activa electric scooter under wraps. But Honda is aiming to provide both reliability and comfort with its first electric scooter. According to the online reports, the Honda Activa electric scooter will come sans swappable battery module which is offered by several of the current-gen electric scooters. Rather, Honda will be using a fixed battery setup to power the Activa electric scooter.

Furthermore, the Activa Electric scooter is expected to offer around 50 km/h top speed. The riding range claimed is 100 km per charge. Honda is also said to borrow some of the features and even design language from the ICE version of Honda Activa. The suspension and braking system will possibly also be the same.
