Motorola Razr 3 Confirmed To Arrive With Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC: Check Details

Motorola has announced the release of its upcoming Razr model with the latest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Under its Razr foldable series, the company has unveiled two models since it was first introduced in 2019. However, the previous-gen Moto Razr models were not powered by the flagship Snapdragon 800 series chipsets. Motorola made this announcement via its official Weibo page.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Chipset Will Power the Motorola Razr

Motorola has released another new poster touting its upcoming Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 flagship smartphone. The Motorola Razr 3 will be arriving as a successor to its 2020 Motorola Razr foldable phone. As spotted by Notebookcheck, the general manager of Motorola, Shen Jun, has posted a photo on Weibo that hints at the next foldable phone’s arrival. He also confirms that the phone will be equipped by the newest flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 series processor. A foldable phone silhouette can also be seen in the poster hinting at its foldable design. The upcoming device is expected to have rounder edges and a boxier design.

Motorola Razr 3 Specifications (Expected)

The upcoming Motorola Razr 3 is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations. As per the leaks, we might get to see 8GB/12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of in-built storage. Leakster Evan Blass reveals that the smartphone will have a Full-HD+ resolution display.

As for the optics, the Motorola Razr 3 is said to have dual cameras on the back. The imaging setup is said to feature a 50MP primary shooter paired with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle.  The secondary sensor will also double up as a macro lens. The punch-hole cutout on the front is expected to house a 32MP lens for selfies and video chats. The phone is said to arrive in Tranquil Blue and Quartz Black color options.

Motorola Razr 3 Launch Date (Expected)

According to multiple reports, the Motorola Razr 3 is likely to arrive sometime in July or August this year. Besides, tipster Evan Blass stated that the upcoming smartphone will be released in China first in late July or early August, and then globally. Currently, we don’t have any information about its India launch but we will keep you posted once we get the update.
