Oppo has launched yet another budget “A” series smartphone in India. The latest model to join the company’s budget smartphone portfolio is the Oppo A16K which was spinning around the rumor mill for a while now. It was announced outside India last year in November and has been announced in India with the same set of features. The highlights of the latest budget Oppo A16K include an entry-level MediaTek Helio series processor and a 4,230 mAh battery unit.

The Oppo A16K has been announced with the exact same set of features as the international model. The device packs the Helio G35 processor which is an octa-core entry-level MediaTek chipset. It is accompanied by PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 3GB RAM. The storage capacity available is up to 32GB which is further expandable via a dedicated microSD card slot.
Upfront, the Oppo A16K employs a 6.52-inch display that supports 720P HD+ screen resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. It features a U-shaped notch that accommodates a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The back panel has been packed with a single 13MP camera here which comes with an f/2.2 aperture. The camera app has a bunch of pre-loaded shooting modes for a better photography experience.
The Oppo A16K has been launched with Android 11 OS. This might be a bummer for several users who have been expecting a new Android 12 version as the firmware. The device will also feature a custom ColorOS interface on top. The Oppo A16K uses a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security and is IPX4 certified that making it dust and water resistant.
The Oppo A16K’s connectivity features are general and you get 4G LTE, single-band Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. It retains a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired connectivity. It is driven by a 4,230 mAh battery which is combined with regular 10W charging speeds.

The Oppo A16 can be purchased in India via both online and offline stores at Rs. 10,490. It will be available in a single 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration. The color options available will be black, blue, and white.
