POCO has finally cleared the air surrounding its upcoming product launch in India. The brand earlier shared a cryptic tweet that tipped the Poco M4 Pro’s imminent India launch. However, the rumor mill has been uncertain all this while to be sure if the Poco M4 Pro 4G or the 5G variant is coming to the Indian market. The company is bringing the Poco M4 Pro 5G model first in the country. As anticipated, the launch is slated for this month.

Poco M4 Pro 5G Official India Launch Date Announced

The Poco M4 Pro 5G is officially breaking covers on February 15 in India. POCO has shared a short teaser video via its official India Twitter handle that confirms the upcoming mid-range 5G POCO phone’s launch next week in the country. The timeline falls in line with what the leaks had anticipated.

It is not clear just yet if the company plans to host any specific launch event for the POCO M4 Pro 5G in India. If the brand decides to host any virtual event, it would be likely streamed via the POCO India YouTube channel. But unless the brand confirms the launch plans, we can’t be sure of it.

As for the features, the POCO M4 Pro 5G isn’t a completely new device and has been made available in international stores. For the unaware, the Poco M4 Pro 5G is a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 11 5G which has also debuted recently in India.  However, the former wears a different skin.

The mid-range POCO 5G phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC. The chipset is clubbed with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. We can expect the same configuration in India as well. The handset also has additional microSD card storage support and is pre-installed with an Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 interface.

The POCO M4 Pro 5G will sport a 6.6-inch display with an FHD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The optics used would include a 16MP front camera and a 50MP dual rear camera module. It will feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The package would be completed by a 33W fast charging supported 5,000 mAh battery unit.
