Vivo has announced yet another new smartphone in its affordable ‘Y’ smartphone lineup. After introducing several 4G devices this year, the company has now introduced an affordable 5G smartphone dubbed Vivo Y55 5G. The device has been announced in Taiwan packed with the Dimensity 700 processor. The other features are similar to the Vivo Y55s which were also announced recently.
Vivo Y55 5G Features And Key Specifications
The Vivo Y55 5G has been launched with the octa-core Dimensity 700 5G processor. The handset has been announced with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is also expandable storage support for up to 1TB via an external microSD card.
The smartphone has been announced with a 6.58-inch display. The panel supports 1080p FHD+ resolution and has an aspect ratio of 20:9. It features a waterdrop notch that houses an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling. The rear camera module comprises a 50MP main snapper combined with a pair of 2MP sensors for portrait and macro photography.
The Vivo Y55 5G camera setup supports portrait mode, slow-motion, time-lapse, and HDR mode. The camera app also has might scene mode for low light imaging. The device will be pre-installed with Android 12 OS that will be topped with FunTouch OS 12. The unit also features Multi-Turbo 5.0 technology for an improved gaming experience. The battery powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh unit. There is also 18W fast charging support for quicker refuels.
Vivo Y55 5G Price, Sale Details
The Vivo Y55 5G has been announced in Taiwan is around TWD 7,990 which is somewhere around Rs. 21,500. The handset has been announced in three different shades including Galaxy Blue, Star Black colors.
Vivo has not yet revealed the Y55 5G availability details in the remaining global markets including India. However, Vivo is quite aggressive with new devices in the Y series since the starting of this year. A bunch of devices in this series have already gone official and the ones in the pipeline should get announced soon. The India launch should also be revealed by the brand in the coming days.
