The Asus ZenBook 14UX435EG is powered by Intel Core i7-1165G7 Processor with a clock speed of 2.8 GHz. it uses the latest 11th generation intel chip. It is furnished with Nvidia MX450 graphics with 2GB GDDR6. The system comes with three switchable modes, namely Standard, Performance, and Whisper. It delivers satisfactory results for both regular office work and internet applications. Even though it is not a gaming laptop, but it still able to handle computer games owing to its built-in hardware. The ZenBook uses 1-TB NVMe SSD with impressive transfer rates but does not allow space for additional media storage. The stereo speakers produce a decent sound but the maximum volume turns out relatively low and it could use a little more bass. For better sound, you have to use speakers. The power consumption is a bit too high in regards to other products in the market.

The Asus ZenBook 14UX435EG has an IPS LCD with an LED backlight. It is slim and has uniform bezels on all sides. It has a 14-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The touchscreen is reflective. The display does not produce any PMW flickering but owing to the price, the contrast (897:1) is very low. The display produces a decent colour replication.
Asus has added an extra Screenpad which can work both as a regular touchpad or touch screen. The brightness of the panel is sufficient but it gets reflective when working outside in the sunlight. It has a 92% screen-to-body ratio for an in-depth viewing experience and a 100% sRGB colour gamut system that promises vivid colours.

The ZenBook UX435EG provides a battery life of 8:27 hours for WLAN and 10:05 hours for video without the usage of a power-saving function. It is equipped with a 63Whr battery and a 65W Type-C power adaptor. The battery is a 3 cell lithium-ion battery which is expected to work for 1,000 charging cycles at least. A one-time charge of the product can run for 7-hours with regular office work or work involving browsing or image editing. It will run a little less for gaming or watching multimedia at a stretch.

Design
ASUS has delivered brilliancy with this notebook. It is remarkably slim and light-weighted but does not compromise on the hand rests for typing. The matte-finished base and the distinct brushed concentric surface on the back with the "Asus" label in the centre are appealing to the eyes. This 14-inch notebook has no lag in its workmanship. The Pine Grey colour of the metal casing gives a sophisticated look to the notebook. Pressure at the back of the lid does not affect the displayed image. The laptop is stiff and sturdy and has no protrusions over its body. It has an Ergolift hinge like the previous ZenBooks that unfolds about 135 degrees which lifts the base by about 3 degrees. This lift in the base acts as a foot for the notebook which allows air to pass and helps the device in cooling. Despite the slim bezels, ASUS has incorporated a 720p webcam and it allows Windows Halo Face-unlock feature. This ZenBook beats the MSI Prestige 14.

Keyboard and ScreenPad
The notebook is furnished with a full-size Backlit Chiclet Keyboard with a key travel of 1.4mm. The keyboard offers crisp pressure points and short strokes. The keyboard illumination has three steps that can be selected with the usage of a function key. It has two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, one for the power adaptor and the other is for connecting other extensions.
Rather than a ClickPad, Asus has come up with its ScreenPad which acts as both, a secondary display with a touch screen and a regular glass touchpad. It encloses features like a calculator, Bluetooth calling, and handwriting inputs.
