Redmi Note 9 Pro features one of the most exciting designs. It has a premium look and feels very sturdy in the hand. Offers a glass pattern on the front and back with a metal frame for the edges. Camera placement has changed, which is a significant improvement with respect to the previous generation. In terms of the LED, it is placed below the camera module to be in line with the symmetry.

While the phone weighs heavier than usual at 209 grams, it is evenly distributed. This weight distribution also compensates for the width of the phone, which is 8.8mm. A design feature that stands out is the placement of the fingerprint sensor. You also get an infrared blaster alongside the secondary microphone on the top. The sim card tray with a hybrid slot for the microSD card is present on the left edge with volume rockers. The phone is available in three amazing variants: 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM with 128GB storage.

One of the issues that we faced while reviewing the phone was that the camera module sticks out of the back frame, making it lie uneven on a flat surface. It can be fixed with a cover, but that is not something that every user prefers.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a punch-hole display placed at the centre of the screen, following the phone’s symmetry. This phone packs a large display of 6.67 inches and offers 3400x1080 resolution. The display looks very clear outdoors in the brightest settings.

The phone does not support a 90Hz refresh rate, but the 60Hz rate is also smooth. You probably won’t feel the difference except in the gaming mode.

Following the trend started by the Note series, Redmi Note 9 Pro Max comes with a 5,020mAh battery making it support the largest battery life in the Note series. While Samsung is offering a 6000mAh battery in some of its phones, this battery should be enough to last you over a day with moderate usage.

Living up to the expectations, the phone managed to give us 7 hours of screen time with a single charge that is quite impressive. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max battery also supports 33W fast charging, giving you a 50% charge in just half an hour and a 100% charge in around an hour and twenty minutes.

performance, we enjoyed clicking photographs on this phone. It should satisfy you if you are the group’s selfie queen. You get 4K resolution with 30fps that makes for decent video quality. But I must advise you to switch to 1080p if you want stable videos.

Xiaomi had earlier brought in a MediaTek processor for its Note 8 Pro that everyone expects to be the default. However, Xiaomi has gone with Snapdragon 720G for the 9 Pro Max, making it the first Redmi Note model to come with a processor from the 700 series. It is also one of the most affordable cell phones on the market.
