Well, we always expect Redmi Note phones to come up with some amazing specifications. So, here it comes. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G processor is efficient and is sufficiently adequate for everyday use. Gaming experiences too are to die for. You get up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage which can be expanded well enough with a microSD card.
The battery power is a massive 5020mAh and enables fast charging at up to 33W using the adapter that is included. It is charged 44% in 30 minutes. The full HD super AMOLED display is vibrant and crisp; furthermore, the brightness peaking at 1200nits is attractive. There’s TUV Rheinland certification for low blue light emission.

The software is MIUI 12.0.6 on top of Android 11 but the amount of advertising on MIUI is bothersome although Xiaomi promises to consider all of it in the version MIUI 12.5.
There is a heating problem you’d see after a minute or two, while on an engrossing gaming session. It is easy to handle and is not too slippery.
The 108MP camera is like a cherry on the cake. The 5MP macro camera boasts about 2 x magnifications. It also has an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP depth sensor which would allow you to take pictures with better details.
The vlog mode included is interesting. It lets you capture moments, graphics, and music and also additionally allows you to add effects. The other modes include document, panorama, time-lapse, and AI watermark.
Thankfully, Xiaomi has concluded not to impose the brand watermark on users which are completely awkward.
The wide-angle camera isn’t up to the mark since it captures rather dull images with poor contrast. You can magnify photos a lot better but it becomes a little less sharp at the full resolution. Close-ups and detailed photography can be done best and objects a little farther away to look decent. The exposure and colour production is really impressive at this price range.
The video isn’t stabilised at 4K and is very shaky but full HD video is stabilised.
The battery power is a massive 5020mAh and enables fast charging at up to 33W using the adapter that is included. It is charged 44% in 30 minutes and 84% in 60 minutes. It easily lasts a day even if you game a lot, although there is a little heating problem.
In an HD loop video test, the battery lasted for 17 hours and a minute which is quite good.
It has a new generation that Xiaomi calls EVOL design. The front of this phone is pretty much the same with all screen and a tiny embedded camera at the top. The power button has a fingerprint sensor embedded. It has a very sleek look and the glass panels are curved at the sides.
They come in three sophisticated colours of which Mystic Bronze and Glacial Blue have frosted backs, and the Dark Night option has more of a glossy look, although fingerprints are a bit problematic in all the versions. Xiaomi has designed a two-tier system to accommodate the 108MP hefty camera on the rear side.
The brand has used the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front. On the left side, the sim tray with two slots is present which supports nano sim type. It also has a space for a microSD card. The 8.1mm thickness and 192g of weight are quite attractive and are thinner than last year’s Redmi Note 9 pro max, Redmi Note 10 Pro Max Design although the distracting camera bulge is something to be considered.
It has an AMOLED display with a 6.67-inch screen and a resolution of 1080x2400 pixels. Also, the display is HDR10 compliant and comes with a 120Hz refresh rate. The colour accuracy, vibrant details are impressive at such a price. The brightness level escalates to a good 1200nits. There’s a facility of “READING MODE” included so it is comfortable for your eyes
