Realme has announced the launch of a new smartphone on Tuesday. The Realme 9i is the successor of the Realme 8i that was launched last year. The newly launched smartphone comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and 33W fast charging support.

The smartphone also has dual stereo speakers, triple rear cameras, 90Hz display, which is less than the Realme 8i as the latter carries a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, the device is likely to sit against the Redmi Note 10S, Samsung Galaxy M32, and the Redmi Note 11T 5G.

Realme 9i Smartphone: Specifications And Features

The Realme 9i runs Android 11 OS along with Realme UI 2.0. It comes with a 6.6-inch full HD+ along with a 20:19 aspect ratio, and 90Hz refresh rate. Besides, the display has a 180Hz touch sampling rate and Dragon Trail Pro glass.

Then, there is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor with Adreno 610 GPU and 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It also has Dynamic RAM Expansion support on the Realme 9i via software update. There is also a phone also supports virtually expanding RAM by up to 5GB.

On the optics front, it has a triple camera setup, including a 50MP primary camera along with an f/1.8 lens. Then, there are a 2MP portrait shooter and a 2MP macro shooter. Upfront, there is a 16MP Sony IMX471 selfie camera along with an f/2.1 lens.

Additionally, there is 128GB of RAM that can be expanded up to ITB via a microSD card. On the connectivity front, there is Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, 4G LTE, 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual-band Wi-Fi. There are sensors like proximity sensors, accelerometers, side-mounted fingerprint sensors, and ambient light.

Also, it has dual stereo speakers, a 5,000 mAh battery along with 33W Dart Charge. Besides, the in-built battery is likely to offer 48.4 hours of talk time with a single charge. It weighs 190 grams and measures 164.4×75.7×8.4mm.

Realme 9i Smartphone: Price And Availability

The 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage of the Realme 9i will cost you Rs. 13,999, whereas 6GB+ 128GB model will cost you Rs. 15,999. The smartphone comes in two colours: Prism Black and Prism Blue. The smartphone will go on sale on January 25th, 2022 and will be available on the company’s website, Flipkart, and offline stores. Furthermore, there will be an early sale on Flipkart and the company’s store on January 22.

The Galaxy S22+ will have Exynos 2022 processor in India, while the US variant will carry Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The device might have a 4,500 mAh battery along with 45W fast charging. It has a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits.

On the optics front, the device will carry a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 12MP telephoto camera along with 2x optical zoom. The device might carry a 32MP front camera and will run Android 12 OS out of the box.

According to the previous leak, the device will have a flat-screen, hole-punch cutout, and triple-camera setup. The volume and power keys are likely to be at on the right side. In addition, the leaks suggested that LED flash might be placed outside the camera module.
