JSW MG Motor India has revised prices for it’s electric and ICE vehicle fleet in Indian. The popular offerings from the Chinese automobile manufacturer including the ZS EV and the Comet EV will now be sold with an expensive price tag with the differences in the cost being up to Rs. 89,000. The price has been updated for all trims of the Comet EV and the ZS EV. Let’s dive into more details below:

MG Comet EV, ZS EV Increased Price List

MG Comet EV, which has been the most compact and cheapest electric four wheeler in India is made expensive by up to Rs. 19,000. All variants of the Comet EV including the Executive, Excite, Excite FC, Exclusive, and the Exclusive FC have been increased between a range of Rs. 12,000 to Rs. 19,000.

The MG ZS EV’s prices have been increased by up to Rs. 89,000 in the month of February 2025. Just like the Comet EV, the base model of the ZS EV has not received any price hike. However, the remaining trims prices have been increased by up to Rs. 89,000.

MG Windsor EV Price Update?

As mentioned above, the Windsor EV has not witnessed any price updates. The reason there have been no price hike for this variant is the fact that it’s the most newest product in the company’s portfolio. There are chances the Windsor EV’s prices are also increased in the coming months.

Ola Electric, the Bengaluru-based EV startup has announced the launch of its 3rd generation S1 e-scooter lineup. The brand has introduced four new models in the Gen 3 platform-based S1 series with an affordable price range starting at just Rs. 79,999. The Ola Gen 3 e-scooters are up for pre-orders and the deliveries will be starting soon.

TVS has not yet confirmed as to when this sports electric scooter will be made available in the remaining Indian cities. But as pr the reports the company will start delivering this e-scooter in remaining regions gradually in a phased manner.

Ola S1 Gen 3 E-Scooter: All variants

The latest Gen 3 Ola S1 e-scooter lineup comprises four new models. The models introudced with the latest platform are the S1X, S1X+, S1 Pro, and the S1 Pro+. All variants are built on the new Gen 3 platform with the key differenting factors being the set of features and the battery size. The model wise powertrain and feature breakup is below.

Just for reference, the new Gen 3 architecture designed by Ola features a mid-drive motor instead of the hub motor as the previous-gen architecture. This new architecture offers enhanced efficiency and overall performance. Furthermore, Ola has replaced the belt drive mechanism with chain drive for better ride reliability.

The Ola S1 Pro+ is the top-spec model with the highest peak power of 13 kWh. This model also has a bigger battery pack amongst all the models which measures 5.3 kWh in size. With this big battery pack, the S1 Pro+ model offers a whopping 320 kmph range per charge.

Creatara Mobility, the IIT Delhi graduates led EV startup brand has just expanded it E2W fleet in the country. Two new electric scooters from the company have debuted in India. Called the IN40 and the VM4, both the electric scooter models equip modern range features and are performance-centric with a dedicated AI control unit.

TVS has not yet confirmed as to when this sports electric scooter will be made available in the remaining Indian cities. But as pr the reports the company will start delivering this e-scooter in remaining regions gradually in a phased manner.

Creatara Mobilty IN40, VM4 E-Scooters: What Do They Offer?

Creatara Mobility’s latest offering for the Indian consumers are the IN40 and the VM4 electric scooters. These latest models feature a stylish aesthetics which is combined with advanced features and are claimed to set up a new standard in the E2W segment.

The IN40 and the VM4 electric scooters are built on the Creatara’s proprietary platform and also feature a special control unit with which they deliver improved performance. The company has not revealed all the specifications of the IN40 and the VM4 electric scooter models. However, the top-spec models in the new lot is equipped with high-voltage 72V power with which they are capable of reaching a top speed of up to 110 kmph.

Both of these electric scooters pits themselves in the high-speed e-scooter category. The Creatara IN40 and the VM4 electric scooter models will be delivering a range of 150 km with each battery charge cycle. The 2.3 kWh and 3.4 kWh battery pack integrated inside both these e-scooters is swappable as well portable allowing convenience with charging.

Coming to the specifical feature, both Creatara electric scooters come equipped with an AI-ready Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). The functionality of this VCU unit is to enhance the overall performance of the e-scooters by analyzing the ride patterns while providing preventive diagnostics on-the-go.

Creatara Mobility IN40, VM4 E-Scooter Price In India

Creatara Mobility has not shared any details related to the IN40 and VM4 e-scooter pricing. Considering, both of them have been announced officially, the pricing and delivery dates will also be revealed soon.

TVS X Electric Scooter Deliveries: Complete Timeline

TVS X e-scooter’s deliveries were pending since 2024. However, the company has finally announced the deliveries covering the first phase. The e-scooter is available to customers in Bengaluru at the moment. Buyers who have pre-reserved the TVS X are yet to get their hands on the e-scooter.

TVS is planning to cover four more cities in the second phase for which the delivery timeline has been set for Q1 of 2025 itself. The company is yet to announce the list of cities where the next phase of deliveries will begin. However, we are expecting some announcement regarding the same in the coming weeks.

To recap, the TVS X electric scooter is launched in a single variant which. The price for this premium e-scooter model has been set at Rs. 2.50 lakh (ex showroom). It will be available in a single Red color option.

TVS X E-Scooter: Key Highlights

The TVS X is underpinned by a PMSM electric motor that churns out 11kW peak power and 40 Nm peak torque. It uses a 4.4 kWh battery pack with which it is claimed to offer around 140 km IDC range on a single charge. It climbs up to a max speed of 105 kmph and makes a run from 0- 60 kmph in 4.5 seconds.

Other key highlights of the TVS X electric scooter includes a bug 10.25-inch TFT instrument cluster, multiple riding modes, 12-inch alloy wheels, dual disc brake module (220 mm front disc and 195 mm rear disc brakes).

he TVS X uses a 4.44 kWh battery pack offering a range of 140 km. It powers a ram-air-cooled permanent magnet mid-drive motor that generates a continuous power of 9.38 BHP. It has three riding modes: Xtealth, Xtride and Xonic. TVS claims the X can sprint from 0-60 km/h in 4.5 seconds, while its top speed is 105 km/h.

Ultraviolette Concept X E-Motorcycle Patented

Ultraviolette will be soon adding a new naked street electric motorcycle to its fleet. The E2W manufacturer has filed the patent for the same whose images have been leaked online. The upcoming electric motorcycle was earlier showcased at the EICMA 2024 but not much details were revealed back then.

The patent filing too doesn’t reveal much about the new sports electric motorcycle from Ultraviolette. But the image shared by the leaked patent document reveals the naked street-style design highlighted by the straight and upright handlebar. This is one of the design changes the Concept X gets over the F77 e-motorcycle.

Th Concpet X will certainly borrow some of the design elements from the F77 but will eventually look all new in the street sports avatar. It is said to come with 17-inch alloy wheels and use USD fork suspension system upfront and mono-shock absorbers at the rear. There will be disc brakes handling the braking duties. Ultraviolette Concept X is still in the development phase likely and might not have been sent to the production bay. While there is no confirmed timeline for its launch, the reports indicates its arrival could be sometime by the end of 2025 in India.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Ola Electric’s CEO has shared a new post on X announcing the launch of a new Gen 3 electric scooter. This is the second tweet in a row from the company’s CEO revealin new products in tow for the Indian market. Only the launch date of the upcoming Gen 3 electric scooter has been revealed in the post, i.e., January 31.

Other details such as design and features have not been teased yet. Ola will possibly reveal all the details including the delivery timeline tomorrow post the launch. That said, the upcoming lineup is said to comprise Ola S1 series e-scooters built on the new Gen 3 platform. This means the both the S1X and S1 Pro models with Gen 3 architecture could be launched tomorrow.

Now coming to the expected pricing, the rumor mill indicates the S1X Gen 3 will be entry-level model in the upcoming lineup and could be priced at Rs. 79,999. Whereas, the Ola S1 Pro Gen 3 model could arrive with a 3kWh and a 4kWh battery option priced at around Rs. 1.29 lakh and Rs. 1.50 lakh respectively. The latest Gen 3 Ola electric scooter lineup will be built around a new improved chassis which will further integrated the motor, battery, and the electronic components in a single unit. Unfortunately, not much has been revealed by the teaser post but a cryptic image showcasing a scooter and an aluminum frame hints the same.

The sports electric motorcycle’s snapshots have been shared revealing the sharp and aggressive design approach. Seems like after the e-scooter segment, Ola is now getting ready to take up the e-motorcycle market in India as well. Not much details have been shared at the moment. Ola Arrowhead’s underpinnings are not yet revealed. However, it is said to be using Ola’s latest Gen 3 architecture. We might also the company using new Bharat Cell batteries inside the Arrowhead electric motorcycle. Ultraviolette UVLYNC Universal Car Charger: Functionality

Ultraviolette’s latest offering for the domestic consumer base is the universal charger called UVLYN. It is a Type 2 charging interface that will allow the electric two wheeler owners to refuel their e-motorcycles at the AC car charging stations. The UVLYN to take away the charging woes experienced by the electric two wheeler specially when on long rides.

With this new universal charging interface, Ultraviolette electric motorcycle owners will be able to use more than 4,000 AC charging stations directly for charging. That’s not it, customers will also be able to access around 100,000 Type 2 car chargers installed across the Indian cities.

But it’s not just Ultraviolette electric motorcycles which will be supporting this setup. The company is working on to expanding UVLYNC’s compatibility with other electric two wheelers. Niraj Rajmohan, Co-Founder and CTO of Ultraviolette, quoted, “By providing a universal interface, this solution expands charging possibilities and fosters greater confidence in embracing electric mobility”.
