Volvo EX40 Recharge: New Moniker Or Powertrain Upgrades As Well?

Volco EX40 Recharge essentially gets only the re-branding. There is no overhaul given to its design and it retains the same bold SUV stance as the XC40 Recharge. Its underpinnings remains the same where the Rear wheel drive axle mounted electric motor churns out up 238 bhp of peak power output. It produces a peak torque of 420 Nm and can sprint from 0-100 kmph within 7.3 seconds.

The Volvo EX40 Recharge continues to use the 69 kWh battery pack that allows a range production of up to 592 km on a full charge. The battery pack of this e-SUV rakes around 7 hours of charging time (from 0-100 percent). This charging speeds is with the 11kW standard AC charger. With the fast DC charging, the EX40 Recharge’s battery will take around 34 minutes for a full charge.

The feature-sheet is same as well with the EX 40 Recharge offering the same 9-inch touch screen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto and Apple Car Play, a 12-inch digital driver display, Harmon Kardon audio system, and adaptive power steering. For safety, the EX40 Recharge offers multiple advanced features such as lane keep assist, rear collision warning, adaptive cruise control, etc.

The Mahindra VE 6e has been spotted during its test run. The first-ever spy-shots of the BE 6E showcases the final production-ready model sprinting through the Indian roads wrapped in bluish camouflage covers. The Spy video shared on Reddit shows the upcoming e-SUV’s futuristic design approach including the coupe design language, C-shaped LED headlamps and connected LED lights both at the front and the rear.

The final production-ready unit of the BE 6e is also seen with flush-fitted door handles. The rear panel gets C-pillar mounter door handles similar to the Tata Punch. But what instantly grabs the attention is the overall angular design approach of the coupe-style electric SUV and the big cavity-like (centrally positioned) bonnet design.

VLF Tennis electric scooter brings a combination of modern and conventional electric scooter design. It is a lightweight ride weighing at just 88 kgs with the entire scooter’s profile sitting on 12-inch wheels. It features a well-cushioned single-piece seat which has a height of 780 mm.

The mechanics including suspension and brakes are handled by telescopic fork and a cantilevered monoshock suspension system and disc brakes both upfront and rear. Moving to the underpinnings, a 1.5 kW hub electric motor powers this e-scooter.

The motor is linked with a 2.5 kWh battery which produces 130 km range per charge. The battery pack will rake up to three hours for a full charge. The VLF Tennis e-scooter has three riding modes and a TFT display as additional features.

The latest spy video of the Maruti eVX aka the e-Vitara has been shared online and it’s teh most clear video yet revealing the e-SUV in production-ready avatar. The video shows the production-ready unit of the e-SUV sticking to the original design layout as the concept model.

The test mule spy video has the unit wrapped under blacked-out curtains but looking at the curves and silhouettes, it appears to be an enlarged version of the S-Presso. However, the e-Vitara gets a sloping roofline and a bigger overall profile compared to the S-Presso.

The video also shows 5-spoke wheel cap with a slotted design which will be topped with aerodynamic covers. The headlamp and tail lamp design is not revealed clearly by the spy video. The grille design is also not revealed entirely but it’s expected to be different than the ICE version.

Maruti Suzuki is said to commence the e-Vitara’s production in Q2 of 2025. The company will be kicking off its manufacturing at its Gujrat plant. Honda Activa Electric New Details Out

In the fresh set of teasers, HMSI has revealed the cluster design of the Activa electric scooter. Interestingly, the company has teased two different instrument cluster which hints there will be two variants of the Activa electric in India. That said, the teasers reveal a TFT and an LCD instrument cluster.

The design of the instrument cluster is sharp and the overall layout seems neat. It is being speculated the HMSI will use the TFT cluster with the Activa high-end model, whereas, the low-end trim of the Activa electric will possibly use the LCD instrument console.

Other key details revealed by thenew teasers is the Riding mode and the range. The Activa electric will be offering a Standard and a Sport riding mode. Additionally, we can see the TFT console’s reading were its mentioned that with 100 percent charge the range is 104 km. This is with the standard mode and as has been tipped by the leaks previously.
