Matter Budget Electric Motorcycle Model In Works

Matter Energy is now gearing up for its next EV launch. The brand is all set to expand its E2W fleet with another electric motorcycle model. Matter’s CEO & Founder, Mohal Lalbhai, in an exclusive interview with a publication have revealed the plans to introduce a new affordable e-motorcycle model in India. As of now, the moniker of the upcoming Matter e-bike have not been revealed and neither have been the spec-sheet.

And if we go by the details available, Matter will design the new affordable electric motorcycle model using the same platform as the Aera 5000 series. However, in order to make its pricing more affordable, the company could take down some of the high-end features that the Aera series offers.

It can’t be confirmed at the moment if the affordable Matter electric motorcycle will also feature the 4-speed manual gearbox as the Aera 5000. Specifically, considering the brand aims to cut down on the pricing. Nevertheless, there are indications that the new budget Matter electric motorcycle will likely come with a LCD instrument console instead of the TFT console as the Aera 5000.

Besides the low-end instrument cluster, Matter could also skip integration of features such as keyless ignition and others. Additionally, the upcoming budget e-motorcycle model might come with a relatively smaller battery pack than the Aera 5000 and also a low-power electric motor.

MG Windsor EV All Variants And Waiting Period Details

The Windsor EV has become an immensely popular electric CUV soon after its debut in India. The company has launched this electric car in three trims. Coming to the waiting period, customers will have to wait for up to three months to get their hands on the Windsor EV. This waiting period is applicable on all of the Windsor EV variants including Excite, Exclusive, and Essence. So, if you are pre-booking the new MG EV at the authorized dealership, you’ll have to wait this year’s end or by January 2025.

MG Windsor EV All Variants Pricing (With and Without Battery Rental)

In terms of the pricing, the Windsor EV’s base variant is priced starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh along with the BaaS battery rental program. If you are opting to but this EV along with the battery rental services then you’ll have to pay an additional cost of Rs. 3.5 per km. This price for battery rental remains same across all models. On the other hand, the Exclusive and Essence variants of the Windsor EV have a price tag of Rs. 10.99 lakh and Rs. 11.99 lakh with the BaaS service.

The ex showroom prices of the Windsor EV without the BaaS battery rental starts at Rs. 13.49 lakh (Excite trim). The Exclusive variant which is the mid-range model carries Rs. 14.49 lakh (ex showroom) price, while the Essence model is priced at Rs. 15.49 lakh (ex showroom).

Ather 450S Electric Scooter Festive Season Deals

Ather festive season sale which has been announced earlier this months brings down the prices of all of the 450 e-scooter lineup. The 450S e-scooter has also received fresh discounts worth Rs. 6,000 in its original selling price.

While the Ather 450X and the Ather 450 Apex have received added benefits of extended battery warranty and complementary charger, the 450S gets doesn’t get the same benefits. Instead, for the 450S e-scooter, Ather is offering an extra discount of Rs. 5,000. However, this deal will be applicable on the purchases made via credit cards of select banks.

Just to recap, the Ather 450X and the 450 Apex have been given additional benefits in the form of up to Rs. 10,000 cashaback on the some select credit cards. Coming back to the Ather 450S deals, the e-scooter comes with an asking price of Rs. 1.09 lakh (with Pro pack) and Rs. 1.19 lakh (with the Pro pack). After the festive season discount, the 450S e-scooter’s prices have dropped to Rs. 1.16 lakh (ex showroom with Pro pack).

Ather 450S E-Scooter Key Highlights

Ather 450S electric scooter features a 5.6 kW electric motor which produces 22 Nm of peak torque. The mid-range e-scooter is powered by a 2.9 kWh battery delivering 115 km range on a full charge. It can take a charge from 0- 80 percent is 6 hours 36 minutes with the standard charger. Its top speed is up to 90 kmph.

Jitendra EV has been active in the E2W industry for a while and launched the Primo e-scooter range earlier this year. And now, the brand is planning to update its portfolio with a new high-speed electric scooter model. Not all the details have been divulged by the company yet, but the official teasers dropping in indicates its arrival sometime soon.

According to the online rumors, the Jitendra Yunik will be a performance-based e-scooter. It is said to offer an overall improved acceleration and speed high-speed reliability. It is being speculated that the Jitendra EV could come with a top speed ranging between 50 kmph to 70 kmph.

And if we go by the teasers stating the “Be Different, Be Yunik” tagline, then we cab expect it to flaunt a bold and robust profile. The teasers does have revealed a round LED headlamp setup and an illuminated Jitendra EV brand logo highlighting its masculine appeal.

To recap, pre-bookings for the Windsor EV started soon after the launch with the price range starting at Rs. 9.99 lakh (ex showroom) with BaaS battery rental program. Its top variant with can be purchased with Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex showroom) price.

Prices for the MG Windsor EV start from Rs 9.99 lakh and go up to Rs 11.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom). However, these prices apply only if you are willing to purchase the Windsor EV with MG’s Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) program, which allows you to rent the battery pack. 

If we speak of the Windsor EV’s prices without battery rental program, then the base variant called Excite carries a price tag of Rs. Rs. 13.49 lakh, whereas, the mid-trim (Esclusive) is priced at Rs. 14.49 lakh Windsor EV’s top-spec variant called Essence has a price tag of Rs. 15.49 lakh in India. Customers can select Windsor EV from four color choices including Clay Beige, Turquoise Green, Stardust Black, and Pearl White.

Matter Aera 5000 E-Motorcycle Deliveries Start: Price Details

Ahmedabad-based E2W manufacturer has started delivering India’s fist motorcycle featuring a 4-speed manual gear transmission. The electric motorcycle’s deliveries have started almost a year after its official launch. The initial batch of the Matter Aera 5000 electric motorcycles have been delivered from the company’s newly inaugurated showroom in Ahmedabad.

Matter is offering a phygital experience at its newly launched showroom which will combine aspects of both physical and digital shopping under one roof. This new process is said to provide an enhanced flexible experience to the customers.

That said, coming to the pricing. The Matter Aera 5000 electric motorcycle comes in dual trims. The standard and the Aera 5000+ variants have been introduced for the masses both featuring a 4-speed gearbox. The standard Matter Aera 5000 comes with a price tag of Rs. 1.74 lakh (ex showroom), whereas, the Aera 5000+ which is the top-end model is priced at Rs. 1.84 lakh (ex showroom). Buyers can opt this e-motorcycle from Cosmic Blue, Cosmic Black, Blaze Red, Nord Grey, and Glacier White.

Matter Aera 5000 Electric Motorcycle Features

Matter Aera 5000 and the 5000+ electric motorcycle variants are packed with the same 10.5 kW electric motor. Battery options introduced with the Aera 5000 electric motorcycle models include 4kWh/5kWh6kWh delivering a range of up to 150 km. The 4-speed geared electric motorcycle is equipped with a 7-inch LCD digital instrument cluster and features such as reverse parking assist, anti-theft alarm, and 5 liters of storage capacity.
