Ultraviolette is set to launch its next e-motorcycle in India next year. However, instead of expanding its high-speed sports motorcycle portfolio, the brand will introduce an electric adventure motorcycle. Ultraviolette CEO’s Narayan Subramaniam has revealed this information in an interview. Revealing additional insights, the company’s CEO confirmed the plans to target not just one but multiple segment.

Besides the sports and the upcoming Adventure e-motorcycle, Ultraviolette is also expected to introduce a cruiser, a roadster, and a supersports e-motocycle model in the coming years. That said, the company will first bring the adventure variant followed by the remaining.

Ola’s electric scooter range, i.e., the S1 series comes with advanced digital instrument cluster which has mobile app compatibility. Now, the mobile app has just receive an update which adds the highly-demanded live tracking status.

Ather Rizta E-Scooter Expected Price Hike From January 2025

Following the latest trend across the automobile industry, Ather Energy will also be increasing the prices of its popular family e-scooter. The Ather Rizta which debuted earlier this year in dual trims and an asking price of Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex showroom) will be sold with a higher price tag. Its top variant which comes at around Rs. 1.48 lakh (ex showroom) will also be selling at higher rates.

The new prices will be effective from January 1, 2025. The increased costs of the Rizta e-scooter are also likely due to increased input costs which is the same reason cited by the other auto manufacturers. It is expected that the Rizta e-scooter series will be getting expensive by Rs. 4,000- Rs. 6,000. The difference in the price hike could be depending on the mode.

The 2025 Bajaj Cheatak e-scooter which is breaking covers this week in India has been spied during its testing in Pune, Maharashtra. The e-scooter can be seen wrapped partially in camouflage revealing only handful insight of the design. The 2025 Chetak e-scooter is said to built in a new platform which the brand is claiming will deliver better driving experience overall.

The exact update in the design is not confirmed since the test mule is wrapped with camouflage. However, Bajaj is expected to give a slight makeover to the 2025 Chetak electric scooter in terms of the aesthetics while keeping the retro design intact.

The e-commerce giant is selling this e-scooter variant, i.e., the Rizta S starting at just Rs. 1.04 lakh instead of Rs. 1.10 lakh (ex showroom) price. This discount of up to Rs. 6,000 is collective of all the deals and discounts. Buyers who are planning to visit the online retailer to buy the Rizta S electric scooter will get flat Rs. 2,500 discount on the purchase above Rs. 5,000. The company is also offering additional EMI options and credit card offers worth up to Rs. 8,500 on the Rizta S.

Ather Rizta S: Recap

The Ather Rizta S variant is equipped with a 2.9 kWh battery which offers a claimed IDC range of up to 123 km per charge. It’s electric motor produces 5.7 bhp of peak power and delivers 22 Nm of peak torque. The Rizta S is capable of achieving a top speed of 80 kmph and reaches from 0- 90 kmph in just 4.7 seconds.

Tata Tiago EV New Update

Tata has slightly upgraded Tiago EV’s portfolio in India. It’s not exactly any hardware or firmware upgrade but rather a change in the color scheme. Tata Tiago EV which earlier was available in five color variants will now be sold in four color options only. The company has removed the Plum Midnight color trim of the Tiago EV.

Tata has not specified why it is discontinuing the Tiago EV’s aforementioned color scheme. But customers will now only get to select this EV from 4 color shades only including Pristine White Dual Tone, Daytona Grey, and Teal Blue, Tropical Mist.

The update doesn’t reflect any changes on the pricing as well as features. The Tigo EV will continue to sell starting at Rs. 7.99 lakh (ex showroom) offering the same set of cabin and safety features such as 7-inch touch infotainment display with connected car tech, automatic climatic control, 8-speaker audio system, wireless charger, rear parking camera, cruise control, ABS with EBD, and TPMS.

VLF Tennis E-Scooter Booking Milestone

Motohaus has received huge customer interests for its recently launched VLF Tennis electric scooter. The company has bagged over 300 bookings for its first electric scooter. Just to recap, the Tennis e-scooter was launched last month itself in India (November 2024) and within just a few weeks the bookings have reached in three digits.

This indicates the VLF Tennis is emerging as a popular choice amongst the Indian consumers who are upgrading to an electric scooter. Also, the developments around the same have been confirmed by Tushar Shelke, Managing Director of Motohaus. Deliveries for the VLF Tennis e-scooter have also started last month from November 25. VLF has launched the Tennis electric scooter as a CKD unit. It is being assembled at the Motohaus CKD plant which is located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra.

VLF Tennis E-Scooter Price And Features

Th VLF Tennis e-scooter is introduced at Rs. 1.30 lakh (ex showroom price) in India and comes in three color options – black, white, and red. It underpins a 1.5 kWh motor linked to a 2.5 kWh battery pack. This e-scooter can deliver a rang of 130 km and get a full battery charge within 3 hours.

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Design And Features

Toyota’s upcoming e-SUV, the Urban Curiser EV will be an identical twin to the e Vitara in terms of looks and features. Yet its facia will be one of the differentiating design elements. The Urban Cruiser EV will be coming along with extra body clads compared to the e Vitara and will have 2700 mm wheelbase. It will come with an overall length of 4825 m which is around 10 mm longer than the e Vitara.

The side and rear profile will also be same as the e Vitara. The Urban Cruiser EV will also get hidden rear door handles and will sit on 18-inch and 19-inch wheel size options. The rear profile will include a full-length tail lamp and connected tail light setup. The instrument console and other cabin features will also be identical to the e Vitara.

Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Powertrain Details

Just like the design, the Cruiser EV will also be sharing the same platform with the e Vitara e-SUV, i.e., the Heartect e-platform. Just to recap, Toyota and Maruti have co-developed this EV platform. The Urban Cruiser EV will be launched with both FWD ( front wheel drive) and AWD (all wheel drive) options. It is expected to be introduced with dual battery pack options. The base variant of the Toyota Urban Cruiser EV will be packed with a 49 kWh battery, while the high-spec variant will be loaded with a 61 kWh battery pack.

Mahindra XEV 7e Test Mule Snapshosts Leaked

The spy shots of the XEV 7e production-ready unit has been leaked for the first time after the trademark images surfaced online. The first glimpse of the XEV 7e shows an identical design approach as the XUV 700 ICE model. However, the spy shots shows a missing exhaust pipe indicating it to be the all-electric variant of the XUV 700.

Besides this minor change at the rear, the overall silhouettes and curves are exactly the same the ICE variant. Even the rear tail-lamp design has not been changed on the EV model. The latest spy shots of the XEV 7e doesn’t showcase the fascia.

However, this is where things are said to be different when compared to the ICE unit. The XEV 7e might be introduced with a closed grille design upfront just like the newly launched XEV 9e and the BE 6. It is also said to include updated vertically-stacked headlamp design like the former. It is also being anticipated that the XEV 7e will feature flush-fit door handles and new set of alloy wheels. More details should be confirmed in the coming months before the official unveiling.
