Mahindra BE05 Production Ready Model Gets Snapped During TVC Shoot

Mahindra BE05 test mules image leaks have flooded the internet. But this time, the EV is spotted in full-fledged production ready avatar and looks all futuristic as the concept. The images of the production-spec BE05 have been snapped during a TVC shoot. The images shows the design elements that the final variant retains.

The prominent design elements revealed includes the curvy body stance combined with sloping roofline, flush-fit door handles, C-shaped LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, and full-length LED light bar at the rear. As per the rumors, the BE05 will come with 2,755 mm of wheelbase and measure 4,730 mm x 1,900 mm x 1,635 mm in height (length x width x height).

The new set of leaked BE05’s images doesn’t show the cabin images. However, previous leaks have shown the presence of a new two-spoke steering wheel with multi-function keys and an illuminated BE-badging. The BE05 will also be loaded with a dual screen setup for infotainment and driver respectively and a central-console mounted rotary gear dial.

Mahindra BE 05 Performance And Range

Mahindra BE05 e-SUV will be built on the INGLO platform as revealed by the brand itself. It will come with a rear wheel drive and also dual motor all wheel drive option and offer Level 2 ADAS. It might be available with multiple battery pack options (possibly two) and will offer a range of up to 450 km on a full charge cycle.

Ola Electric seems to be working hard to earn back its rapport after frequent customer complaints with the S1 e-scooter range. The company recently announced to HyperService plans to improve the customer experience with after sales servicing and repairs. And with the hefty discounts and deals on its e-scooters, it aims to boost the sales that saw a dip in the recent times.

Coming to the S1X, it’s a decent e-scooter featuring a 6kW hub motor delivering 25 Nm torque. The base model offers 95 km range per charge, while the mid and top trim offers up to 143 km and 190 km range per charge respectively. The top speed of the S1X base variant is up to 85 kmph, while the top model has up to 90 kmph top speed. It’s overall powertrain and features does make it an ideal deal for city commutes specifically with the current range of offers.

Ather Energy’s special festive season sale is finally live with hefty promotions and deals on two of its most popular electric scooter. Special offers worth Rs. 25,000 has been announced for the Ather 450X and the 450 Apex e-scooter models.

Ather 450 Apex is a high speed e-scooter which is powered by a 7 kW PMSM electric motor. It is equipped with a 3.7 kWh battery pack with 150 km range and 100 kmph top speed.

The Zelio Eeva ZX+ comes with a retro-inspired design language which unlike the other models that the brand have introduced in the recent times. It has a large single-piece seat and a flat floorboard that makes the design more practical for daily commutes. The Eeva ZX+ comes with a load bearing capacity of up to 180 kg and is overall a lightweight scooter with 90 kg kerb weight.

The Zelio Eeva ZX+ uses a disc and drum brake upfront and rear respectively. For suspension, this low speed electric scooter gets hydraulic shock absorbers both at the front and rear. Powering the Eeva ZX+ is a BLDC hub motor which is linked to five different battery pack options. It is announced with a 60V/32AH lead acid, 72V/32AH lead acid, 60V/38AH lead acid , 72V/38AH lead acid, and a 60V/30AH li-ion battery option. The riding range offered by the Zelio Eeva ZX+ is between 60 to 100 km per charge depending on the variant.

Kia has launched the top-spec GT Line trim of the EV9 which has a dual motor AWD setup. It produces 384.23 PS of peak power and is capable of generating 700 Nm of peak torque. The EV9 GT Line is equipped with a 99.8 kWh battery and can deliver 561 km of ARAI certified range. The EV9 can make a sprint of 0- 100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds.

TVS iQube e-scooter is being made available with special deals during the festive season. As previously mentioned, benefits worth Rs. 27,000 have been announced for the iQube e-scooter models. This festive season will be active for a limited period which will be valid till October 31, 2024.

TVS has announced a cashback of worth Rs. 17,300 for the iQube e-scooter with 2.2 kWh battery pack. On the other hand, an extra cashback of Rs. 7,700 is being given in the form of cashbacks. This additional cashback offer will be applicable for some specific bank cards.

In a sperate post on X, Ola Electric has revealed the speacial deals that buyers will get on the S1 e-scooter range. As a part of the Ola festive season sale, customers will be getting up to Rs. 10,000 discount in the all S1 e-scooter models including the S1 Pro, S1 Air, and the S1X.

Customers will also be able to avail exchange bonus of up to Rs. 5,000 and additional benefits worth up to Rs. 21,000. Ola electric has also announced an 8 year warranty on the battery worth Rs. 6,000, over 140 MoveOS features worth Rs. 6,000, and Hypercharging credits worth Rs. 3,000 as extra benefits during the BOSS sale.

BMW CE02 Design Highlights

BMW CE02 also flaunts a future-ready design as its older sibling, i.e., the CE04. It has a low-slung seating and utilizes a double-loop steel frame. It gets USD fork and an adjustable monoshock suspension system with the tyre profile being 14-inches. The design while being minimalistic looks all advanced and is expected to be comfortable with hectic city rides. For braking, the CE02 relies on a 293mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc brakes.

With the standard 0.9 kW charger, the BMW CE02 will take around 5 hours for a full charge and up to 3 hours and 30 minutes using the 1.5 kW charger.

It is capable of accelerating from 0-50 kmph in 3 seconds and reaches a top speed of up to 95 kmph. Feature-wise, the BMW CE02 is loaded with a 3.5-inch micro TFT instrument cluster, keyless ignition, dual riding modes, anti-theft alarm, single-channel ABS braking, and more. There is also a USB Type-C charging port to refuel smartphones on-the-go.

BMW CE02 Price In India

The BMW e-scooter is launched at an introductory price range of Rs. 4.05 lakh. It is announced in dual shades including Cosmic Black and Cosmic Black 2.

The latest offering comes as a high-speed model priced under Rs. 1 lakh in the country. iVoomi S1 Lite includes several advanced features and is also a practical commute solution for cities.

iVoomi S1 Lite: Top Features, Battery, Range

iVoomi S1 Lite is designed with a modern styling where the frame material used is of ERW1 grade. This platform is said to offer better stability and performance with the rides. The S1 Lite acknowledges all the practicality aspects by offering a storage space of 18 liters, USB charging port (5V, 1A), and more.

It comes with an digital LED instrument cluster and has 170 mm ground clearance which will help with comfortable rides in tough terrains. Buyers will get the option to select either 12-inch or 10-inch wheel size options. There is a smart tech package priced at Rs. 4,999 where customers will get an access to additional features such as Distance To Empty (DTE) range, turn-by-turn navigation, and call, SMS alerts. As many as 7 levels of security features have been added for user’s safety during rides.

The exact battery size has not been specified, however, the S1 Lite gets a swappable battery module with which it is claimed to deliver 180 km range. The real life range is yet to be tested. This new iVoomi electric scooter is capable to reaching a top speed of 53 kmph.

iVoomi S1 Lite Price In India

The iVoomi S1 Lite electric scooter is launched at Rs 84,999. It has arrived as the most affordable iVoomi e-scooter model in India with such a high range delivery.

Tata Nexon EV might be the most popular electric SUV’s in the Indian market but it hasn’t been left out with the EV-related fire accidents. Despite being rated as the most safe e-SUV with 5-star Global NCAP crash rating, a fire accident was reported back in 2023 from Hyderabad. The customer took the battle to the court seeking a full refund for the Nexon EV that went up in flames. Well, the court verdict is out and it is in the favor of the customer. Tata Nexon EV Fire Accident: What’s The Case?

As mentioned, this incident dates back to last year (2023) where a Nexon EV customer named Mr. Jonathan Brainard filed a complaint on the district consumer disputes redressal commission of Hyderabad. Narrating the ordeal, Brainard said he had selected the Nexon EV for being the safest cars i India while offering high-comfort levels and overall reliability. But after an initial good run, the issues with his Nexon EV started.

The issues experienced were related to the battery where the car wouldn’t make a move even with 18 percent of battery remaining. The customer was also unable to engage the drive mode multiple times which made it a difficult driving experience. All these issues started appearing within 11 months of the purchase.

Upon paying a visit to the service centre, the issue diagnosed was related to the High Voltage (HV) video pack which was depleted. The replacement of the defective part was done. However, the customer was advised not to dive the vehicle when the battery percentage dropped below 50 percent. Within just 12 days of the battery pack replacement, the Nexon EV fire accident took place which further led to the car’s collision with a motorcyclist and a tree.

The Court Verdict On Nexon EV Fire Accident

A final verdict has been given by the court which comes in the favor of the victim. The court has asked Tata Motors to process a full refund to the customer amounting to Rs. 16,95,000 along with an additional 9 percent interest on the outstanding amount till the date of the verdict which sums to Rs. 2,50,000.

After hearing both parties, the consumer court has ruled in favour of the complainant. In their opinion, the court concludes that the said car has a manufacturing defect. The court also points out that the actions of the opposite parties reveal unfair trade practices and deficiency in services. The court has ordered the opposite parties to pay the following compensation. The amount will also be covering the treatment cost and the compensation that will paid to the motorcyclist (V.Balanarasaiah).
