Tata Curvv EV Battery Specifications, Range

Tata Curvv EV production-spec variant’s images have been shared by the company officially giving a glimpse of its unique coupe-style exteriors. Now, the battery details have been shared by the industry sources. The auto giant will apparently introduce the Curvv EV with dual battery options.

The base model of the Curvv EV will be borrowing the same battery setup from the Nexon Long Range model. This means the low-end Currv EV variants will be equipped with a 40.5 kWh battery pack. Whereas, the high-end Curvv EV models will be utilizing a larger battery unit compared to the low-end models. The setup is said to be a 55 kWh unit.

Nissan Ariya Electric SUV India Debut: Full Details

According to several online reports, Nissan Motor India will unveil the Ariya EV after the release of the X-Trail SUV. Nissan has launched the Ariya EV globally back in 2020 and began its testing in India as well. The first test mule of the Ariya electric SUV was spied last year itself with the rumor mill hinting at its India launch in the near future.

However, after the initial sighting, no other test mule of the Ariya EV was spotted getting tested in the country. The reports also indicate that the Nissan Ariya EB will be imported via the CBU route in India. Just like the X Trail which will also be a fully import unit. Unfortunately, there is no specific date or timeline revealed yet for the Ariya EV’s launch. We only have received information related to its upcoming launch in the country.

The Nissan Ariya EV will be the second coupe-style electric SUV after the Curvv EV in India. The e-SUV is said to feature big 19-inch or 20-inch tyre profiles and have a fully-loaded cabin. The Ariya EV’s dashboard will come equipped with dual 12.3-inch screen functioning as the infotainment and driver display respectively. It will be built on CMF-EV architecture which is co-developed with Renault.

In the international markets, the Ariya EV comes with both single motor RWD and dual motor AWD drivetrains linked to 63 kWh and 83 kWh battery pack. The lower battery model can offer 217 bhp peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. This variant will deliver up to 402 km of range on a full charge.

On the other hand, the Ariya EV’s AWD variant can deliver up to 242 hp of peak power and 300 Nm pf torque along with 592 km per charge range. The top-of-the-line model will have a maximum power delivery of 306 hp and 600 Nm of peak torque with the range delivery being up to 513 km per charge.

Hero Vida V1 Budget Model Upcoming

Hero MotoCorp’s next offering for the Indian consumers will be a budget variant of the Vida electric scooter. The development comes from the company’s Executive Chairman, Pawan Munjal. The details are scarce at the moment and it is not known what moniker the upcoming Vida V1 e-scooter model will have. However, the brand might share some details in the coming months.

Speaking further, the company’s executive chairman highlighted how in collaboration with Ather Energy, VIDA has created India’s biggest E2W charging infrastructure. Also, the brand is targeting to expand its overall size in the EV market with the partnership with Zero Motorcycles. With this collaboration, the company will facilitate EV manufacturing and will be catering to a specific group of consumers.

In a statement, Munjal said, “am particularly pleased to witness VIDA V1’s rise as one of the leading electric scooters in India, and I anticipate its future launch in global markets, where it is poised to become a significant player as well.”

To recap, Hero had recently filed a trademark for a mystery electric scooter in India. The patent images of the unknown Hero electric scooter revealed a familiar fascia as the Vida V1 series including the X-shaped LED DRL, a single-piece big seat, and grab rail. This variant was also rumored to be an upcoming budget variant of the Hero Vida V1 series. Tata Curvv EV Cabin And Safety Features List

The latest Tata Curvv EV leak has finally revealed the expected cabin features it will offer. The upcoming coupe-style electric SUV is said to get the same dashboard design as the remaining Tata’s SUV fleet including the Nexon and Harrier. The dashboard will mount a massive 12-inch infotainment screen. This will be a Harman-Kardon setup which will get compatibility with both Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The Curvv EV;s dashboard will also include a 10.25-inch digital driver display.

The Curvv will also also get the Arcade.EV feature which is nothing but Tata’s exclusive app suite accessible via the infotainment screen. Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV Powertrain: Here’s What Makes It Special

The Xiaomi SU7 is the most powerful variant in the entire SU7 series. The prototype showcased during the Lui Jun Annual Speech event is loaded with Xiaomi’s self developed V6s and V8s motor packs. With this motor setup, the SU7 Ultra dominates the sports car segment by deliver the maximum output of 1548 hp which is more than the Bugatti Chirron and other premium sports cars. The SU7 Ultra can deliver a max torque of 635 Nm (V8s engine).

Xiaomi seems to have built the quickest EV in the market. The SU7 Ultra can accelerate from 0- 100 kmph within 1.97 and 0-300km/h in 15.07 seconds. As for its top speed, that’s up to 350 kmph max. Battery pack is all advanced too. The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is equipped with the CATL’s Qilin 2.0 battery pack which offers up to 1330 kW of output. This battery pack is claimed to take a full charge of 0- 100 percent in less than 12 minutes.

The iron phosphate (LFP) used by the Qilin battery that is compatible with 897V battery. Not just the hardware, Xiaomi has also strategically handled its designing too. The SU7 Ultra gets an aerodynamically-enhanced design combined with carbon fibre construction that makes the car weigh at just 1900 kg.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra EV Availability?

Xiaomi SU7 EV is currently showcased in a prototype form and is yet to be made available commercially to the consumers. However, the brand plans to drop this sports EV’s production-ready unit to the race track by 2025. We might get some developments related to its availability then.

No FASTag On Car’s Front Windshield? Get Ready For Heavy Penalty/ Vehicle Blacklisting

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has issued a fresh guideline that makes it mandatory for the vehicle owners to stick the FASTag sticker on their car’s front windshield. This new move aims to reduce the traffic congestion and long cues at the toll plazas on the state highways. As per the highway authority, the non-fixation of the FASTag stickers is one of the reason for delays at the toll booths.

A penalty will be charged from the vehicle owners who fail to adhere to this rule. NHAI has permitted the toll plazas to charge double the toll fee if any vehicle is stopped without the FASTag sticker on the front windshield. This will be specifically for the defaulters who tries to cross the barriers using the FASTag lanes.

Furthermore, toll booths will be keeping a tab of the vehicles that have the FASTag stickers and also those who don’t. The authorized banks for FASTags have also been shared the guideline to affix the sticker on the vehicle during its sale. This new rule will be displayed at the toll plazas to keep the citizens updated with the developments.

Production-Ready Tata Curvv.EV: How Does It Look?

Tata Motors have officially unveiled the production version of the Curvv EV in India. The brand has shared the exclusive exterior design of the Curvv EV model which integrates several design changes than the concept model showcased at the Bharat Global Mobility show earlier this year.

The coupe-style statement remains the signature design approach with the Curvv EV. Bearing familiarity with the Nexon, the Curvv EV fascia features a connected LED DRL along with sequential turn indicators. The headlamp assembly seems to be the same as the Nexon. The charging port is also mounted on the front similar to the Punch.ev.

The exteriors snapshot shared by Tata shows flush-fit door handles, sloping roofline towards the rear. Prominent changes in the design between the concept and the production-spec model is the standard ORVMs instead of the camera-integrated ORVMs.

The Curvv EV’s ev-specific design elements include a closed-off grille and 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels with petal-shaped styling. At the rear, the Curvv EV flaunts a connected LED tail lamp along with an integrated roof spoiler.

Tata hasn’t dislosed the interiors of the Curvv EV or the ICE model. But we are expecting the same illuminated two-spoke steering wheel which the brand recently introduced with the Nexon. Details related to the powertrain also remain scarce. However, we are expecting the new Activ.ev platform under its hood along with advanced range of safety features including ADAS, and others.

The BYD M6 electric MPV comes as the facelift version of the India-bound e6 MPV. The design language is refreshed and it now looks more modern and future-ready. In fact, the M6’s facia is heavily inspired by the newly launched Atto 3. The M6 flaunts a full-width silver bar upfront with the BYD logo etched.

It features a multi-projector headlamp setup and wing-style bumper layout. It has a round and curvy profile overall that sits on 17-inch alloy wheels. The primary difference between the BYD M6 and the e6 models are the exterior design language. Not much is changed when we speak of the interiors. The M6 MPV also gets a panoramic sunroof and a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment display and a 5-inch driver display.

Moving on to its powertrain, the BYD M6 is packed with a front axle mounted single electric motor which produces up to 163 PS peak power. This power delivery is with the low-end models, whereas, the high-end variants can offer up to 204 PS of peak power. The torque generated by the low-end and top-spec variants remains the same at 310 Nm.

The BYD M6 standard model gets a 55.4 kWh battery, while the top spec model gets 71.8 kWh battery. The smaller battery model deliver a 420 km NEDC-certified range, which is increased to 530 km per charge with the top spec models.

Is BYD M6 Heading To India?

Well, this remains uncertain at the point if BYD will launch the M6 in India. The company is gradually building up a strong portfolio with EVs in the country and might bring this facelift version of the e6 MPV. But when? That’s something we would have to wait for BYD to reveal the details.

It seems that the brand is trying to take a bite of the surge in car sales that is witnessed every year during the festive season.

MG Motor has only shared insight related to the Cloud EV’s arrival as of now and has kept the pricing details a mystery as of now. Some previous reports hinted it to be priced lower than the existing ZS EV model. Which means it could be priced starting under Rs. 18 lakh in the country. But these prices are to be taken as a pinch of salt considering the costs aren’t confirmed officially.

MG Cloud Electric Crossover Powertrain And Top Features

As seen with the test mules, the MG Cloud EV boasts a round body profile accommodating connect LED DRLs at the front and connected LED tail lamps. The Indian variant of the Cloud EV is said to come with flush-fitted door handles and a rear defogger. A large infotainment screen will be mounted on the dashboard with touchscreen support and Apple Car Play, Android Auto compatibility.

The India-bound MG Cloud EV is said to come with slightly altered powertrain. Unfortunately, there is no confirmation from the brand on the same. That said, the global model of the Cloud EV features a 50.6 kWh battery and can offer up to 460 km range on a full charge. We are still waiting for more details on the Cloud EV’s spec-sheet and will share the necessary updates.
