  • It will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
  • It is anticipated to start at a price of Rs. 12,000 in India

Nothing’s sub-brand, CMF, is preparing to launch a new smartphone in India. Recently, leaks have surfaced online, revealing the specifications of the upcoming CMF Phone (1). According to the leaks, the CMF Phone (1) is expected to have similar hardware specifications as the Nothing Phone (2a), with some design changes and a more budget-friendly approach. Display and Design

The CMF Phone (1) will feature a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. This is slightly different from the Nothing Phone (2a), which has a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel but also supports a 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The CMF Phone (1) will have a plain plastic body and come in four color options: Blue, Green, Black, and an exclusive Orange shade for India.

Processor

At the core of the CMF Phone (1) is the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 SoC, paired with a Mali-G610 MC4 GPU. This is the same processor found in the Nothing Phone (2a), ensuring similar performance levels. The CMF Phone (1) will likely come with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and offer two storage options: 128GB and 256GB, both using UFS 2.2 technology. Additionally, it will support MicroSD cards for expanded storage. In contrast, the Nothing Phone (2a) offers up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage but does not support MicroSD expansion.

Camera

The leaked renders of the CMF Phone (1) show a single rear camera, but tipster @realMlgmXyysd claims it will have a dual rear camera setup. This setup includes a 50MP primary sensor and another camera in a vertical arrangement. On the front, the CMF Phone (1) will have a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. Comparatively, the Nothing Phone (2a) features a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a superior 32MP front camera.

Battery and Charging

Both the CMF Phone (1) and Nothing Phone (2a) will house a 5,000mAh battery. However, the CMF Phone (1) supports 33W charging, which is slightly slower than the 45W charging offered by the Nothing Phone (2a).

Other Features

The CMF Phone (1) will run on Android 14-based Nothing OS 2.6 out of the box, the same operating system as the Nothing Phone (2a). Other features of the CMF Phone (1) include a replaceable plastic back cover, Nothing Lock with exclusive add-ons, Bluetooth 5.3, and Wi-Fi 6. However, it will lack NFC support and the unique Glyph lights found on the Nothing Phone (2a).

Lost Connection? Here Are Five Quick Fixes For No Internet Issues

Key Highlights

  • Ensure your data plan is not exhausted before considering a data booster
  • Restart your phone and update your software to fix connectivity issues
  • Clear app cache and limit background data usage to improve internet performance

Facing the dreaded “no internet connection” message on your Android phone can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you need to stay connected. Before you consider paying for a data booster, it’s essential to check whether your data plan is exhausted or if there’s a connectivity issue. If your daily data limit is still available, try these five quick and easy fixes to get your phone back online. Also Read | No Network Adapter: How To Connect A Samsung Smart TV To Internet/ Wi-Fi Without Integrated Network Adapter?

Reboot Your Device

One of the simplest solutions to many technical problems, including internet connectivity issues, is restarting your phone. Power off your device, wait a few moments, and then turn it back on. This process can clear out temporary glitches and refresh your network connection. If you prefer not to reboot your phone completely, you can also toggle Airplane mode on and off to restart your network connectivity.

Clear App Cache and Keep Software Updated

Cached data from apps and the Android system itself can accumulate over time, potentially slowing down your internet speed. Regularly clearing the cache of your web browser and frequently used apps can enhance performance. Furthermore, if you have too many apps running in the background or too many open websites, it can lead to unnecessary data usage. Close these apps and browser tabs to free up data and improve network speed.

Keep Your Phone Up to Date

Keeping your phone’s software updated is crucial for optimal performance, including maintaining a stable internet connection. Outdated software can lead to various issues, such as slow network speeds. To ensure your Android phone runs smoothly, check for system updates regularly. Go to Settings > System Update, and download any available updates.

Additionally, update your apps to their latest versions. This ensures they are compatible with your current operating system and optimized for better performance, which can help improve your internet connectivity.

Monitor Data Usage and Background Apps

Excessive data usage or too many background apps can significantly slow down your network speed. To manage this, check your data usage in the settings menu. Identify any app that is consuming more data than usual. You can limit background data usage for specific apps, allowing you to prioritize network speed for the ones you use most often.

Reset Your Network Settings

If the previous tips do not resolve your connectivity issues, consider resetting your network settings. This action will revert all network configurations to their default settings, often resolving persistent problems. To reset your network settings, go to the Settings menu, navigate to the System section, select Reset, and choose Reset network settings. Keep in mind that this will remove saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth connections, so you’ll need to reconnect afterward.

By following these simple steps, you can often resolve internet connectivity issues on your Android phone without needing to resort to more drastic measures. Keep your software updated, manage your data usage, and reset your network settings if necessary to maintain a smooth and stable connection.

Is Google Listening To Your Conversations? Adjust These Phone Settings ASAP

Key Highlights

  • Android users may see ads related to their conversations, indicating potential privacy breaches
  • During account creation, users allow Google to collect data, including audio
  • Disable the setting allowing Google to collect audio to protect privacy

Have you ever had the spooky experience of talking about something, only to find related ads popping up on your smartphone shortly after? Many Android users face this issue, and it’s no coincidence. Your smartphone might be listening to your conversations, sending your personal data to Google, and potentially compromising your privacy. But fear not, there’s a simple solution to safeguard your secrets. Also Read | Google Translate Tricks: How To Translate Text From Any Image On Smartphones, Laptops/ PCs

Understanding The Issue

Most Android smartphones operate with Google Accounts, necessary for downloading apps and accessing various services. However, during the account creation process, users grant permissions that allow Google to collect vast amounts of data. This includes audio from your device’s microphone, which Google can then use to tailor advertisements based on your conversations.

How To Take Control Of Your Privacy

To prevent Google from listening in on your conversations and protect your privacy, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Access Google Settings

  • In your Android smartphone, go to the settings
  • Scroll down and click on Google’s settings

Step 2: Manage Your Google Account

  • Tap on “Manage Your Google Account” in your Google profile.

Step 3: Navigate to Data & Privacy

  • In the “Data & Privacy” section, locate “Web & App Activity” and tap on it.

Step 4: Disable Audio and Video Activity

  • Under “Web & App Activity,” find the option for “Include Audio and Video activity in Subsettings.”
  • Remove the tick mark from this option and accept Google’s Terms of Service.

Protect Your Privacy

By disabling this setting, Google will no longer have access to your smartphone’s microphone. As a result, it won’t record any audio from your device, and you won’t see ads related to your spoken words. This simple adjustment helps keep your personal matters private and prevents potential privacy breaches.

Conclusion

In a world where our personal data is constantly being collected and monetized, it’s crucial to take steps to protect our privacy. By adjusting a few settings on your Android smartphone, you can prevent Google from listening to your conversations and ensure that your private information remains just that — private. So, take control of your privacy today and enjoy a more secure digital experience.
