Tata Motors, at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 has unveiled the much awaited Harrier EV. The all electric variant of Tata most popular mid-size SUV has been showcased with a refreshed bold design and array of new age technologies. Tata Motors have not divulged much details of the Harrier EV. However, the models showcased suggests dual-motor all-wheel drive setup.
The design doesn’t look much different than the concept showcased at the Auto Expo 2023. But we do see some refinements with the currently model standing on the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 stage. Up front the LED headlamp setup and the connected LED DRL adds to a sophisticated yet modern looks. The rear profile doesn’t look different and we get to see the ICE version-like connected light bar.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Monday granting TikTok a 75-day extension before enforcement of its U.S. ban begins. The decision has temporarily saved the platform, providing ByteDance more time to negotiate a sale or address national security concerns tied to the app’s Chinese ownership.
The Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act, signed into law in April by former President Joe Biden, required TikTok to be banned starting January 19 unless ByteDance sold its U.S. operations. However, Trump’s executive order emphasized the timing of the law conflicted with his ability to assess the platform’s implications or seek alternatives.
The 75-day extension allows the administration to evaluate security risks and potentially negotiate a resolution to avoid a sudden shutdown of the app which is widely used by millions of Americans.
Trump’s Changing Stance On TikTok
Trump cited his personal experience using TikTok as a reason for reconsidering the ban. “TikTok is largely about kids,” Trump said, questioning whether China gaining access to young users’ data was a significant issue compared to other national security concerns.
He also suggested that a partial sale to an American buyer could be a viable solution, proposing a 50-50 joint venture with ByteDance. However, it remains unclear whether this would satisfy the legal requirements of the bipartisan law.
TikTok briefly shut down access to its U.S. users over the weekend, citing concerns that its technology partners, such as Oracle, Apple, and Google might face penalties. The company resumed operations after Trump assured no immediate fines or enforcement actions against these partners.
TikTok’s CEO expressed gratitude, stating the company would work with the administration to secure a long-term solution. Many users, influencers, and creators welcomed the app’s return, though some criticized the situation as political theatrics.

Finally, Tata Motors unveiled the production ready Sierra EV at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Sierra EV’s cabin gets a dual-tone black and grey theme accompanied by artificial leather upholstery and bronze accents on the steering wheel. Tata is yet to reveal the Sierra EV’s powertrain and features. However, this e-SUV from Tata will likely use the Acti.EV platform as the new-age Tata EV’s. We might see the Sierra EV with both single motor FWD (front wheel drive) and dual motor (AWD) drivetrain options.
Apart from the production ready models, Tata has also launched a new concept EV which will be a premium range option for the Indian consumers. The Avinya Concept X first showcased at the Auto Expo 2023 is a futuristic EV which Tata is working on. It gets a fast and sporty approach and has two LED lines merging over the grille upfront and dropping down in a way to form a new Tata logo. Just like the remaining concepts, details surrounding the Avinya Concept X are scarce at this point. We are also not sure by when this model will be production-ready. Nevertheless, it definitely will be one of the most advanced Tata EVs that will be launched in the future.
Toyota has unveiled its first mid-size electric SUV, the Urban Cruiser EV. How often have you tried to free up storage on your iPhone or PC, only to find that you’ve filled it up again within a week? It seems we’re all constantly battling to overcome the limitations of built-in storage in our mobile devices in today’s digital age. The truth is, there’s seemingly no way out—we’re perpetually adding more documents, photos, videos, and other files to our devices, always searching for ways to manage these growing digital libraries.
Typically, there are three solutions to this problem: you can purchase devices with the largest available storage capacity, though this often comes at a prohibitive cost; you can pay for cloud storage services like iCloud or Google One; or you can continue to invest in external hard drives, which are themselves expensive and cumbersome.
However, there’s a lesser-known yet highly effective alternative: Network Attached Storage, or NAS. These centralized storage hubs not only store all your digital data but also make it accessible from anywhere in the world, just like cloud servers. You can have your own NAS right at your workstation, configured to store all your pictures, videos, documents, and more, with minimal fuss.
Synology’s latest offering, the BeeStation 4TB is one of the ideal solution addressing data storage needs. The compact and silent entry-level NAS can replace your Dropbox and Google Photos subscriptions by letting you remotely access pictures, videos, and other files from any smart device with an active internet connection. Let’s take a closer look.
For the tech geeks, stay updated with the latest cutting-edge gadgets in the market, exclusive tech updates, gadget reviews, and more right on your phone’s screen. Join Giznext’s WhatsApp channel and receive the industry-first tech update.
Setting up the Synology BeeStation 4TB is remarkably straightforward. Though you can find the configuration steps in the bundled Quick Start Guide or on Synology’s website, the below steps will quickly help you get going with the file backup process.
Plug in the cables and power on the BeeStation.
Wait for the LED on the front to turn solid orange. If it blinks white, the device is in hibernation but still ready for setup.
Press and hold the power button until you hear a beep or see a confirmation on the screen, then release. This step verifies you as the owner.
Ensure your BeeStation is connected to your Wi-Fi router through an Ethernet cable.
Sign in using your Google Account or Apple ID, which lets you manage the NAS without extra passwords. You can also log in to your Synology account on the portal.bee.synology.com website.
The device might update its software automatically during setup. If it starts updating, wait about 15 minutes for it to finish.
Once the updates finish, the NAS will be ready for file uploads. You will be prompted to import pictures/videos from an external drive, Google Drive or iCloud, and that’s about it. You need to download the BeeFiles and BeePhotos apps from your phone’s app store using the QR code provided, to manage your files and photos.
The apps are available for both iOS and Android, and there’s a web version if you want to upload files directly from your PC. You can also enable the automatic backup option for folders to keep the things in motion.
The BeeStation looks like a mini PC, carrying inside a 3.5-inch 4TB HDD that connects with your router via an Ethernet cable and stores all your files. It’s compact and sleek design fits well within both home and small office environments. The build quality is robust, giving the device a sturdy feel that promises durability. And since it’s not a full-fled NAS device, it runs silently and power consumption is rather very minimal.
Performance and Features
For its price, the BeeStation 4TB is equipped with a fairly capable processor and sufficient RAM to handle file backup, retrieving and management tasks. Its 4TB capacity, expandable through additional drives, provides ample space for backing up pictures, videos and other data files. The best part about the BeeStation is its remote backing and access capabilities.
You can retrieve and manage data from anywhere in the world across multiple devices and operating system with just an internet connection. This is particularly useful for those who travel frequently or need to access work files from multiple locations. Additionally, the integration with cloud services like Google Drive and iCloud simplifies data management across platforms, providing a seamless user experience.
Software has always been Synology’s strength. For BeeStation, Synology offers two apps- BeeFiles and BeePhotos, which are very intuitive and offer features comparable to popular cloud services, but with the privacy and security benefits of localized storage. The ability to label and categorize files easily, alongside efficient search functions, makes data retrieval straightforward.
The NAS supports end-to-end encryption, ensuring that data remains secure from unauthorized access. Although this level of security is impressive, it requires users to manage their encryption keys carefully—as losing them can render the data inaccessible.
Potential Drawbacks
Despite its many strengths, the BeeStation 4TB is not without its challenges. Since this is an entry-level NAS designed specifically for users who are just starting with the centralized storage ecosystem, the limited features can be disappointing. Synology’s extensive app support- DSM platform and its customization is missing. The storage system only comes in a single-bay 4TB configuration and the processing speed can feel limiting during demanding tasks.
Overall, the Synology BeeStation 4TB is primarily suitable to individuals looking to replace their monthly daya storage subscriptions with a physical storage device that can be accessed remotely. The benefits of having a personal, centralized, and secure data hub make it a worthwhile investment for those who value privacy and data accessibility.

The Realme 14 Pro Plus is here. And it’s clear that Realme is shaking things up in the midrange segment. Over the years, the Realme number series has been the same with delivering stellar performance at an unbeatable price. But with the 14 Pro Plus, the brand seems to be testing new waters, aiming for a balance between performance, design, and flagship-level features. As someone who values a premium smartphone experience without burning a hole in my wallet, I was curious to see if Realme has managed to hit the sweet spot with this one. Here’s my experience with the device.
As soon I opened the box of the Realme 14 Pro Plus, the Suede Grey variant instantly gave off a sophisticated vibe. The company has introduced vegan suede leather in this model, which is a first in its segment. The texture is soft yet sturdy, thanks to the added fleece layer, making it both durable and luxurious.
What stood out for me was how comfortable the phone felt in hand. Despite packing a massive 6,000mAh battery, the phone remains slim at just 7.99mm. The curved frame fits snugly in your palm, making extended use comfortable.
While the Suede Grey variant is stunning, Realme also offers three other color options. This includes Pearl White that features a unique thermochromic fiber that changes color when the temperature drops below 16-degree C. It’s a fun party trick but not something you’ll see often in India’s warm climate. The other variant is Bikaner Purple. It’s an India-exclusive shade inspired by Bikaner’s iconic architecture. This rich purple hue is bold and elegant. Each variant offers a unique identity, but I found the Suede Grey’s subtle and refined look the most versatile.
The Realme 14 Pro Plus not only looks good but feels durable. The IP68/69 rating ensures the phone can handle water splashes and even freshwater dips, a feature I rarely see in this price range. While the Suede Grey finish adds grip and minimizes fingerprints, the glossy frame around the edges is prone to scratches. A case is recommended to keep it looking pristine.
Realme has also paid attention to the finer details. The buttons have good tactile feedback, and the phone comes with a pre-installed screen protector, so you can start using it right out of the box. The dual SIM tray, USB-C port, and main speaker are neatly placed at the bottom, while the secondary speaker and mic sit on top. It’s a well-thought-out design that prioritizes user convenience.
Overall, the design of the Realme 14 Pro Plus is a testament to how far midrange smartphones have come in terms of aesthetics.
Display: Great Visuals With Minor Hiccups
The 6.83-inch AMOLED display on the Realme 14 Pro Plus is easily one of the best in its segment. Features a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1500 nits, it offers vibrant colors and sharp details that make everything from streaming shows to casual browsing a visual treat. Even outdoors under direct sunlight, visibility wasn’t an issue. It’s a major plus for users on the go.
Adding to the experience is the Gorilla Glass 7i protection, which provides extra durability and the centered punch-hole camera that blends seamlessly into the screen. Realme has also included 3840Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce eye strain during prolonged use. This is undoubtedly a thoughtful touch for binge-watchers and late-night scrollers like me.
However, it’s not all perfect. While the colors are vibrant and the natural color profile is pleasing, I did notice minor lags during fast scrolling. This is an area where Realme could improve to make the experience flawless. Additionally, the lack of HDR support for streaming services was a bit of a letdown, especially for someone who enjoys high-quality content.
Despite these hiccups, the sharp 1.5K resolution and overall quality of the display ensure it stands out as one of the better offerings in its price range.
Performance: Smooth Operator, But Not For Hardcore Gamers
Powering the Realme 14 Pro Plus is the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The processor is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. In my daily use, scrolling through Instagram, streaming content, and light gaming, the phone never broke a sweat. The Realme UI 6 based on Android 15 felt snappy and fluid, with smooth animations enhancing the user experience.
Gaming performance, however, was a mixed bag. While games like BGMI and Call of Duty ran well at 60fps, competitors in this price range offer higher fps for a more immersive experience. For casual gamers, this won’t be a dealbreaker, but if gaming is your top priority, you might want to explore other options.
Cameras: A Versatile Performer With Room For Improvement
The Realme 14 Pro Plus features a versatile triple-camera setup: a 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom, and an 8MP ultrawide camera.
For casual photography, the primary sensor delivered impressive results with vibrant colors and good dynamic range. Though colors like browns and greens sometimes lack vibrancy.
The telephoto lens is a standout, offering excellent 3X zoom and sharp portraits with natural blur. Beyond 3X, digital zoom up to 120X is fun but not very practical.
In low light, the primary and telephoto cameras held their ground but required a steady hand due to slower shutter speeds.
The ultrawide camera performs well in daylight with sharp center details but struggles in low light, showing softness and distortion at the edges.
Selfies from the 32MP front camera are sharp and well-lit, making them ideal for social media. Portrait selfies are impressive but occasionally hazy in backlit conditions.
For videos, the primary and telephoto cameras support 4K30, while the ultrawide is capped at 1080p30. Stabilization is decent, though Ultra Steady mode at 1080p60 offers smoother results.
The Realme 14 Pro Plus’ cameras excel in portraits and zoom, making it great for casual photography. However, ultrawide and low-light performance could use refinement. It’s a solid choice for users looking for a dependable all-rounder in its price range.
Battery Life: All-Day Power, Fast Charging Included
The Realme 14 Pro Plus houses a massive 6,000mAh battery, and it shows. On a typical day filled with chatting, streaming, and casual gaming, I ended the day with around 20 percent battery left. The 80W fast charger included in the box juiced up the phone from 40 to 100 percent in less than an hour, which is a lifesaver on busy days.
Where It Shines And Falls Short
What I Loved:
Stunning design that feels premium
Great display with vibrant colors and great brightness
Reliable cameras, especially the telephoto lens
Long-lasting battery with fast charging
Where It Could Improve:
Lack of HDR support for streaming services
Limited gaming performance compared to competitors
Realme UI’s pre-installed bloatware detracts from an otherwise smooth experience
Only two years of software updates, less than what rivals offer.
The Realme 14 Pro Plus is available in three variants:
8GB + 128GB
Rs. 29,999
8GB + 256GB
Rs. 31,999
12GB + 256GB
Rs. 34,999
Overall, the Realme 14 Pro Plus delivers a great price-to-performance ratio while adding a touch of luxury to its design. If you’re looking for a smartphone with dependable cameras, a gorgeous display, and a long-lasting battery, this one’s worth considering. However, if gaming or a clean software experience is your priority, you might want to explore its alternatives.
For me, the Realme 14 Pro Plus feels like a significant step forward in Realme’s number series, offering flagship-like features at a midrange price. It’s not perfect, but it certainly holds its own in a competitive segment.
