Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Pros and Cons; 6 Positives and 6 Negatives – Should You Buy It?

Xiaomi launched the new Redmi Note 10 Series in the Indian market early this year. The Redmi Note 10 Series comprises four smartphones in India, namely the Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10S, Redmi Note 10 Pro and the Redmi Note 10 Pro Max. The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is considered one of the best all-rounders in its segment. Is it really that good? We tell you just that. So, in this article, we have shared with you the Pros and Cons of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro. Let’s have a look at all its positives and negatives.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro Pros and Cons

PROS

Stunning Design – The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro looks amazing. It has a stunning design with a quad-camera module at the rear and at just 8.1mm thickness, it is quite slim too. The new Redmi Note 10 Pro is available in three stunning colour variants. They are – Glacial Blue, Vintage Bronze and Dark Night.

Impressive AMOLED Display – The new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro features a 6.67-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 1080 x 2400 pixels. This display panel is very impressive. It gets a 120 Hz high refresh rate system with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 1200 nits of maximum brightness.

Good Camera – The Redmi Note 10 Pro features a quad-camera set-up at the rear. The primary camera is a 64 MP sensor from Samsung with an f/1.9 lens. It is accompanied by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 5 MP super macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor. At the front, it gets a 16 MP camera for selfies and videos.

Massive Battery with Fast Charging – The new Redmi Note 10 Pro packs a massive 5020mAh Li-Polymer Battery with 33W fast charging support and the fast charger with USB Type-C port is bundled in the box.

Good Performance – The new Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC coupled with an Adreno 618 GPU. This octa-core processor is built on an 8 nm fabrication process and it offers good performance and is very efficient too.

Decent Price – Xiaomi has priced the new Redmi Note 10 Pro quite attractively. Its price starts at Rs. 15,999 for the base variant and you can check out the detailed variant-wise prices in the table below:

Redmi Note 10 Pro Variant Current Price
6 GB RAM + 64 GB Internal StorageRs. 15,999
6 GB RAM + 128 GB Internal StorageRs. 16,999
8 GB RAM + 128 GB Internal StorageRs. 18,999

CONS

MIUI12 Bugs – Like almost all other Xiaomi smartphones, the new Redmi Note 10 Pro runs on Android 11 with MIUI 12 on top. To be precise, it gets MIUI12.0.6 and there are a lot of bugs that need to be fixed by the company. Also, as it runs on MIUI, you will see ads and third-party bloatware like pre-installed apps.

Proximity Sensor Issue – It has been pointed out by a lot of users that the proximity sensor on the new Redmi Note 10 Pro has some issues and at times, it doesn’t work properly.

No Gorilla Glass at Rear – The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro looks amazing, thanks to its glass-back design. However, as you know glass-back is quite fragile and the Redmi Note 10 Pro doesn’t get Gorilla Glass protection too. We would suggest you to invest in a good quality back cover for it if you purchase it.

Video Stabilisation – The cameras of the Redmi Note 10 Pro deliver good quality pictures and videos. However, the video stabilisation on the smartphone isn’t that good and Xiaomi should fix it with an OTA update.

The phone gets quite Warm – The new Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G SoC and while it is a good processor, it isn’t meant for hardcore gaming. If you play games on it for a long duration of time or constantly use the camera app, the smartphone gets quite warm.

Not 5G Compatible – The last con of the Redmi Note 10 Pro is that it isn’t 5G compatible. However, that shouldn’t matter to you as 5G is still a couple of years away and the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro is a great 4G smartphone. Now, in case you wish to purchase it via Amazon, you can do that by clicking HERE.

Realme 8 4G Pros and Cons; 5 Positives and 5 Negatives – Should You Buy It?

Realme Mobiles launched the new Realme 8 Series in India in March this year. Initially, only Realme 8 and the Realme 8 Pro was launched. However, in April 2021, the company even launched the Realme 8 5G and so the popular ‘number’ series of Realme now includes three smartphones. But, in this article, we will be sharing with you the Pros and Cons of the Realme 8 4G. Let’s have a look at all its positives and negatives.

Realme 8 4G Pros and Cons

PROS

Slim Design and Lightweight Body – The new Realme 8 4G has a slim design and it looks very stylish. The smartphone is available in two colour variants. They are – Cyber Black and Cyber Silver. The thickness of the smartphone has been rated at just 7.9 mm and it’s quite lightweight too and weighs just 177 grams.

Super AMOLED Display – The new Realme 8 gets an impressive 6.4-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and 1000 nits of maximum brightness. It is a big upgrade from its predecessor as the Realme 7 used to get an IPS LCD panel.

Powerful Processor – The Realme 8 is powered by  the MediaTek Helio G95 chipset coupled with the Mali-G76 MC4 GPU. Though it is an old chipset, it is still a very good processor for mid-range smartphones and the chipset performs exceptionally well in the gaming department too.

Big Battery and Fast Charging – The new Realme 8 boasts a massive 5000mAh battery and it gets 30W DART fast charging. This combo of big battery and fast charging is one of the main USPs of the Realme 8.

Variants and Price – The Realme 8 was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 14,999 but recently, its price was slashed in India and now it is priced from Rs 14,499. Check out the detailed variant-wise prices:

Realme 8 4G Variant NameCurrent Price
4GB RAM + 128GB Internal StorageRs. 14,499
6GB RAM + 128GB Internal StorageRs. 15,499
8GB RAM + 128GB Internal StorageRs. 16,499

CONS

Plastic Back – Realme’s number series smartphones still get a polycarbonate panel at the back while some of the rivals offer premium glass-back design. Also, these plastic back panels are fingerprint magnet.

No High Refresh Rate System – The Realme 7 had an IPS LCD panel and it featured a 90 Hz high refresh rate system. The new Realme 8 has a superior Super AMOLED display but it misses out on a high refresh rate system and instead gets a conventional 60 Hz panel.

Downgraded Camera – The new Realme 8 sports a quad-camera set-up at the rear. It gets 64 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensors at the rear and a 16 MP selfie shooter at the front. While on paper the specs look similar to the Realme 7, the Realme 8’s primary sensor is manufactured by Omnivision and not Sony. Also, in real-life conditions, the camera performance of the Realme 7 feels slightly better than the Realme 8.

Additional Bloatware – Like most other budget and mid-range smartphones these days, the new Realme 8 gets a lot of third-party apps pre-installed and while some of them can be uninstalled, some can’t be done.

Quite Similar to Realme 7 – The last negative point about the new Realme 8 is that it is quite similar to the Realme 7 and doesn’t feel like a big update. Apart from the addition of a Super AMOLED display and some aesthetic changes, the new Realme 8 is completely identical to the Realme 7.

Twitter is an American microblogging and social networking service on which users post and interact with short messages known as ‘Tweets’. From common people to rich celebrities to even politicians, influential personalities are active on Twitter and to save the eminent people from the risk of impersonation, Twitter started its verification programme in 2009. However, the verification process was suspended in November 2017. But now, after a gap of almost four years, the company is kicking it off again. So, today in this article, we tell you the Step by Step Process and Eligibility Criteria as How To Get Blue Tick/Verified on Twitter.

Twitter has issued new guidelines for the verification process. According to the new verification process, the Twitter users who can apply for the blue tick should fall under one of the following six categories. The categories are Government; Companies, Brands, and Organisations; News Organisations and Journalists; Entertainment; Sports and Gaming; Activists, Organisers, and other Influential Individuals.

In addition to this, the company also clarified that only being a part of these categories won’t get users the blue tick. The account needs to have a profile name and picture along with a confirmed email address or a phone number. Twitter account must also be authentic, notable and should be active in the last six months. Also, the already verified accounts that repeatedly violate Twitter Rules might get their blue tick removed.

According to Twitter, this feature is being rolled out gradually and so the users will start seeing the new verification application directly in their Account Settings tab in the next few weeks. Twitter will enable the application process through Account Settings on both the Twitter mobile app as well as the web version.

  • Open the Twitter app on your mobile and from the left drop-down menu, click on Settings and Privacy
  • In the Twitter web version, click on the […] More icon, then click on the Settings and Privacy option.
  • Next, click on Your Account, then tap on the Account information menu, enter your password and tap on the Verification Request.
  • The user can tap on Start Request if he or she belongs to the six eligible categories and then submit their request.
  • To be verified on Twitter, the user will have to submit a government-issued identity document along with other required details and click on Submit option.
  • Once the application is submitted, the user will receive an email confirmation from Twitter.
  • If the application gets approved, the blue tick will start appearing on the account in a few days/weeks.
