[Giznext Exclusive]: Lava Agni 2 5G India Launch Confirmed Within Next Two Months

Following its first 5G device in India, Lava is planning to launch its second offering in the country backed with 5G network support soon. The upcoming smartphone is likely to be called the Agni 2. It is expected to be the successor of the Agni 5G that was launched in November last year in India.

Lava Agni 2 5G India Launch Timeline Confirmed

Notably, Lava has not shared any specific detail on the same. However, Giznext has managed to get to some exclusive details from industry sources. Our sources have confirmed that the upcoming Lava 5G model will have an AMOLED panel and 5G connectivity.  The handset is currently tipped to be in the testing phase. Our sources further revealed the alleged Lava Agni 2 will be announced within the next two months (by March). This means we can hear some developments from Lava soon.

That’s all the key information we could source right now, but we will update the details once available. Nevertheless, we can expect it to be the successor of the Lava Agni 5G, as mentioned earlier. We will likely see Lava integrating the next-gen Agni model with some upgraded hardware compared to the previous-generation model.

There are possibilities that we get to see the same display panel as the Lava Agni 5G on the new model as well. We are speaking of an FHD+ AMOLED display. What remains to be seen is if the brand adds a higher 120Hz of the older 90Hz refresh rate. The camera hardware might be the primary upgrade along with the processor on the Lava Agni 2 5G.

Just for reference, the optics on the first gen-model comprises a 64MP quad-rear camera setup and a 16MP selfie snapper. The new generation model could use an upgraded main camera and other sensors. The previous-gen Lava Agni 5G employed a Dimensity 810 processor. Whether the new model uses the same Dimensity series or a Qualcomm SoC is yet to be confirmed. Lastly, we can also expect a fast charging supported 5,000 mAh battery similar to its precursor aided by fast charging support.

It is worth noting that Micromax is also planning to launch its first 5G smartphone in the country, but got delayed due to an ongoing chipset issue. However, sources close to the development informed Giznext that Micromax will soon launch its first 5G smartphone in India.

[Giznext Exclusive]: Micromax IN Note 2 India Price Revealed; First Sale In February 2022

It seems homegrown smartphone brands in India are also ramping up to refresh their product lineups with new launches to compete against the Chinese and other international players. Both Micromax and Lava are ready to release their new offerings for the Indian audience soon. While Micromax has officially teased its next budget handset for the Indian audience, Giznext exclusively reported the upcoming Lava Agni 2 5G. Now, we have managed to source details related to the Micromax IN Note 2’s India price and official sale timeline.

Micromax In Note 2 Price In India, Official Sale Timeline Confirmed

The Micromax IN Note 2 is confirmed to launch in India on January 25, 2022. The company itself has confirmed this detail via its official Twitter handle earlier. However, we at Giznext have managed to get details related to its pricing as well as its first sale in the country. As per our industry sources, the Micromax IN Note 2 will be announced between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 price range in India.

There are possibilities we see multiple RAM and storage variants of the upcoming Micromax budget phone in the market. The prices could differ as per the variants. We are currently not aware of the exact models but will share the updates when available. Apart from the pricing, our source has also revealed the first sale timeline for the Micromax IN Note 2.

The handset will be made available for sale by the first week of February 2022. The Micromax In Note 2 will be available for sale in India via e-commerce giant Flipkart. The company will also be selling this handset via its official India website. As far as features are concerned, the brand itself has hinted at a few details.

According to the official teasers, the Micromax IN Note 2 will flaunt a ‘Dazzling Glass’ finish. However, the company has not clarified if the back panel would indeed be using a glass back panel or it would rather improvise the plastic design to offer a glass finish. The company has also shared another key feature of the upcoming IN Note series handset (display).

The device is confirmed to flaunt a big 6.43-inch AMOLED display. We can expect it to offer an FHD+ screen resolution. However, we can’t really say for sure if the panel will support a standard 60Hz or higher 90Hz/120Hz refresh rate. Other key features such as the camera specifications and battery capacity are at large. Oppo’s next offering for the Indian audience is the Reno7 series. The vanilla Reno7 and the Reno7 Pro are expected to be available sometime soon in the country. Oppo Reno7, Reno7 Pro Price In India, Launch Timeline

We at Giznext have got some exclusive insight from the industry sources related to the Oppo Reno7 series India price as well as timeline. As per our source, the Oppo Reno7 vanilla model will be announced in between Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 30,000 price range. That could be depending on the variants. On the other hand, the Oppo Reno Pro will be heading to the Indian stores with a price tag of Rs. 47,990. Our source claims this would be the pricing of the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage capacity. Note, the pricing mentioned is of the retail box which suggests the device will actually retail at a lower cost at the stores.

As far as the launch timeline is concerned, both smartphones are said to launch by next month in the country but the exact date is yet to be confirmed by our source and also from the brand. We will keep you posted with the exact availability details of the Reno7 series in India. That said, both Reno 7 and the Reno7 Pro will be available for sale via Flipkart in the country. A dedicated microsite has been already created on the e-commerce retailer’s portal.

Another key detail confirmed via our source is the Reno7 series specifications. Both vanilla Reno7 and the Reno7 Pro will be packing identical sets of internals as their Chinese counterparts. However, the company will be rebranding the Reno7 Pro’s chipset in the country. Just for reference, the Oppo Reno7 Pro was launched with the Dimensity 1200 SoC in China. The company is said to launch the Pro model with the Dimensity 1200 Max chipset.

The vanilla Reno7 will be powered by the same Dimensity 900 octa-core processor. The vanilla Reno7 will be arriving in India with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, while the Reno7 Pro will be available with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. Additionally, the former will have 7GB virtual RAM support and the latter will come with a 5GB virtual RAM extension. Both devices will be pre-installed with ColorOS 12 interface.

Realme To Launch 9 Pro+ Smartphone Soon: See Here For All Specifications

After launching the 9i smartphone, Realme is all set to bring the new device to India. The Chinese smartphone maker is expected to bring 9 and 9 Pro+ smartphones to the country. The company is yet to share the details about the launch but shared an image confirming the launch of the new series.

Realme 9 Pro+ is likely to have a triple rear camera along with a hole-punch display design. Also, the phone is expected to have an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor. The Realme 9 Pro+ specifications along with all the renders suggested the design of the device, reports Smartprix.

The renders also shared that the device will have a gradient finish along with a hole-punch display. Besides, it will have a triple camera setup at the back along with an LED flash. The company is expected to bring smartphones in three colour options: Midnight Black, Sunrise Blue, and Aurora Green.

Additionally, the renders claim that the device will be available in the Midnight Black colour. The tipster also suggested that the Realme 9 Pro and the Realme 9 Pro+ will have the same design with minor differences.

Realme 9 Pro+ Smartphone: Expected Specifications

The Realme 9 Pro+ smartphone is likely to have a 6.43-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display along with a 90Hz refresh rate. The device will have a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor along with 8GB of RAM. Also, the device is expected to have a triple camera at the back.

It includes 50MP primary camera, 8MP, and 2MP camera on the back. The device will have a 16MP camera on the front. The Realme 9 Pro+ smartphone will also have 256GB of in-house storage and is likely to have a 4,500mAh battery.

It is important to note that the Realme 9 Pro+ has already received certifications from the BIS and Bluetooth SIG. Furthermore, the phone will be launched with Realme 9 Pro device in February this year.

iQOO 9 Pro India Models Gets Listed At Geekbench; Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, 12GB RAM Confirmed

iQOO is ready to introduce its new premium gaming series in India dubbed iQOO 9. Two models in the upcoming series including the vanilla iQOO9 and the iQOO 9 Pro are heading to the Indian stores. While the exact launch date is yet to be announced by the Chinese brand, an official launch is anticipated next month in February.

Earlier this month, the entire specifications of the vanilla iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro Indian models were leaked online. Now, the Pro model has stopped by Geekbench. The processor and details along with the benchmark scores have been listed at benchmark websites.

iQOO 9 Pro Indian Model Gets Listed On Geekbench

The iQOO 9 Pro Indian model’s Geekbench listing has been first reported by Mysmartprice. The device has been listed at the benchmark website with the Vivo I2022 model number. The benchmark website mentions an octa-core chipset with a base frequency of 1.78GHz. While the exact processor name is not mentioned, the ‘taro’ motherboard listed confirms it to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

The iQOO 9 Pro Geekbench listing further reveals 12GB RAM configuration. There could be other variants as well but we will have to wait if the brand will bring additional variants in the country. The storage space are not listed on the benchmark website but we can expect atleast 256GB paired up with 12GB RAM.

The iQOO 9 Pro will be debuting with Android 12 OS topped with a custom skin. The only other detail shared by the listing is the benchmark scores. The Pro model has scored 1240 points in the single-core test on Geekbench, while in the multi-core test this handset has achieved 3590 points.

Other leaked features of the iQOO 9 Pro includes an AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole camera cutout. The camera setup tipped for the iQOO 9 Pro is a triple lens module comprising a 50MP main sensor. The primary camera on the Pro model is rumoured to be clubbed with another 50MP sensor and a 16MP sensor. The exact battery capacity isn’t revealed but the handset is said to come with 120W fast charging support.

Oppo To Launch Reno 7, Reno 7 Pro Soon In India: See Here For Price And Other Details

Oppo has finally confirmed the launch of the Reno 7 series in India. The upcoming smartphone series will be available on Flipkart. Notably, Oppo Reno 7, Reno 7 Pro 5G, and Oppo Reno 7SE 5G were launched in China last year along with some special edition devices.

The company has not shared about the launch special edition and Reno 7SE 5G smartphones but is expected to bring the Reno 7 and the Reno 7 Pro. These devices will be available on Flipkart. “We set out to engineer the best and this time it is even better than you could imagine,” Oppo said on Twitter.

The Oppo Reno 7 Pro comes with a 6.55inch FHD+ AMOLED display along with a 120Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The screen also has a 32MP camera at the front. Besides, 800 nits display along with minimal bezels.

On the imaging front, the device comes with a triple camera, including a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone also has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage.

The device also has a 4,500 mAh battery along with 65W fast charging support and it runs Android 12 OS.

In India, the brand introduced the Pop 5 Pro recently and has now launched another pocket-friendly handset dubbed Pova Neo. Tecno has become really aggressive in terms of bringing smartphones to India. The company has launched the Pop 5 Pro smartphone in its affordable Pop series in the country. This is the second in a row in the same series as the company has launched the Pop 5 LTE on January 12.

The device comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display, a waterdrop notch, a 6,000 mAh battery, and an 8MP dual rear camera. Also, the device support 14 regional languages, IPX2 rating, and Android 11 Go Edition along with a HiOS skin on top.

The device runs HiOS 7.6 based on Android 11 Go Edition. The Tecno Pop 5 Pro comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ LCD Display along with a 269ppi and a brightness of 480 nits. The newly launched Tecno Pop 5 Pro sports a touch sampling rate of 120Hz along with a 90 percent screen-to-body ratio as per the company.

This is the second time Tecno has not announced the processor details of the device; however, it is paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. It also comes with a storage expansion of up to 256GB through MicroSD.

The Tecno Pop 5 Pro also comes with an 8MP rear camera, secondary AI lens, AI portrait mode, HDR mode, and filters. Upfront, the device comes with a 5MP selfie camera along with an f/2.0 aperture lens and front-facing flash.

The smartphone comes with a 6,000 mAh battery that offers 54 hours of talk time and 120 hours of music playback as per the company claims. Also, it has a Battery Lab feature and Ultra Power Saving Mode for increased battery life. Moreover, the smartphone features Smart Panel, Kids Mode, Social Turbo, Dark Themes, Peek Proof, Anti-Theft alarm, Vault 2.0 according to the company.

The Tecno Pop 5 Pro is priced at Rs. 8,499 for the 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage variant. The smartphone will be available in three colour options: Sky Cyan, Ice Blue, and Deepsea Luster. The device will be available in all retail outlets, Flipkart, and Amazon.
