The M5 chip’s production is already in progress. A report from ET News states that Apple started the packaging process for the chip last month. Packaging is one of the final steps in chip manufacturing that means Apple is well into the process of making its next-gen processors. Taiwan’s ASE Group has taken the lead in mass production with companies like Amkor and China’s JCET expected to join soon.

What’s New In The M5 Chip?

Apple is using TSMC’s advanced 3-nanometer technology to manufacture the M5 chip. This upgrade promises better power efficiency and performance compared to previous versions. Interestingly, Apple has chosen to skip the newer 2nm process, possibly due to cost factors.

Pebble smartwatches were the brainchild of Eric Migicovsky, launched through a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign in 2013.
