Maruti Suzuki’s is consistently building a hype surrounding its first electric SUV model – the eVitara. Showcased at the Auto Expo 2025 earlier this year, the upcoming Maruti electric SUV is coming as a contender against the likes of Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the Mahindra BE 6. Multiple spy shots, leaks, and teasers have already revealed so much about first Maruti mid-size electric four wheeler. And now, more details have been leaked detailing the battery charging and acceleration speeds.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara New Details

Maruti Suzuki eVitara’s fresh leak gives us an insight on the upcoming electric SUV’s performance aspects including the charging time and acceleration speeds. The leak also hints two battery variants of the eVitara electric SUV including a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh battery variant. The latter featuring the bigger battery pack is said to deliver over 500 km range on a single charge.

Maruti eVitara is said to come with DC fast charger with which it will refuel the 61 kWh battery pack from 0-50 minutes within 50 minutes (using DC charger). The new leak also hints acceleration speeds where the top-trim equipped with the bigger battery pack will sprint from 0- 100 kmph in just 9 seconds, whereas the low-spec trim featuring the smaller battery pack will accelerate from 0- 100 kmph in 9.6 seconds.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara: Other Known Details

Maruti Suzuki eVitara will be propelled with a single electric motor producing up to 172 bhp of peak power and 189 Nm of peak torque. As mentioned above, over 500 km range is expected with the top trim featuring a 61 kWh battery. There will be three driving modes offered by the eVitara named Eco, Normal, and Sport.

Inside, the eVitara will be accommodating a dual-screen setup which will be combo of a 10.1-inch infotainment screen and 10.1-inch MID. There will be a support for Android Auto (wireless) and Apple Car Play. There will be some other advanced features such as 10-way powered driver seat, rear slider seats, ventilated front row seats, and panoramic glass roof. It will also be loaded with multiple safety features such as TPMS, 360° camera, auto hold, Level 2 ADAS safety suite, and more.
