It allows you to change colours and animation patterns which look pretty cool.
At the front, it carries a 6.8 inches large display with dual front-facing speakers. On the right side, there are volume rocker keys and a power button with a red accent to them. The right metal housing has these shoulder buttons called AirTriggers.
On the left side, a secondary USB port and POGO connector are located for connecting accessories along with a red coloured SIM tray. And at the bottom, there is the primary USB Type-C port, primary microphone and 3.5mm headphone jack (which was not in the ROG 3).

The ROG 5 sports a huge 6.78 inches FHD+ resolution AMOLED display built by Samsung which has an amazing 144Hz refresh rate, offered for the first time on any smartphone. The display has a peak brightness of 800nits which is impressive. So, the graphics on this look good. It has HDR10 support which will provide you with extra details.
Not only for gaming, but the screen also offers a wonderful streaming experience. So even if you are a regular user who wants to watch movies and shows, you can expect a great experience.
From the performance point of view, Asus has done no compromise. The ROG 5 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC to make sure everything gets done super fast. So power demanding games such as Call Of Duty and Asphalt also run pretty smooth on this one.
It comes in three variants which are- 8GB RAM with 128GB storage, 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and one with 16GB RAM and 256GB storage all at the latest UFS 3.1. But there is no dedicated MicroSD slot given on the device.
