The spy shots doings rounds online reveals a new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is getting tested that we expect could debut soon in the country. Wrapped in black and white camouflage, the upcoming Chetak EV seems to sport the similar design approach as the current lineup.

The leaked spy shots of the new Chetak EV model shows round headlamp design which is slightly chunky. The cramped up floorboard is what suggests it to be an affordable model. Alongside, the spy images also shows a bulky rear profile which further indicates the entry-level positioning of this upcoming Chetak e-scooter model.

Tata is all set for its next big bet in the mid-size electric SUV market in India with the launch of the Harrier EV. At the recently hosted EV Day Event, Tata showcased the Harrier EV’s final production-ready avatar and revealed its full exteriors. Seems like the brand is creating more hype for its upcoming electric SUV in India and in a fresh move has teased its interiors for the first time.

Tata Harrier EV Interiors Revealed: Updated Or Same As ICE Counterpart?

In the latest teaser, Tata Motors have officially teased the first look of Harrier EV’s dashboard and interiors. The cabin of the Harrier EV sports a dual tone color scheme similar to the Harrier UCE version. The all-electric variant of the Harrier EV also borrows the floating touchscreen infotainment setup from its ICE counterpart.

The Harrier EV will continue to use the four-spoke steering wheel and the same digital driver display which we have seen in the regular variant of the Harrier. Additionally, it will come equipped with a panoramic sunroof like the standard version and offer an advanced connected car tech compatible cabin with support for OTA (over the air) update.

The teaser images also reveals the centre console’s design which apparently hasn’t been updated in the EV version. It retains the rotary dual and drive selector design. As per the previous reports, the Harrier EV is expected to offer vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle charging capabilities. It is also likely to be equipped with the same electronic parking brake as the standard version.

Harrier EV: Expected Arrival, Powertrain

Tata is still silent regarding the spec-sheet of the Harrier EV and has not divulged much details related to its powertrain. However, there are rumors that Tata could use the new Gen 2 acti.ev platform to drive the Harrier EV. Furthermore, it is said to be launched with both single motor and dual motor AWD options. The Harrier EV is anticipated to deliver up to 500 km range but the exact specifics would likely be revealed later.

A new electric scooter has arrived in the Indian market targeted at the budget consumer segment. Simple Energy is the brand that has refreshed its portfolio with the updated Simple OneS model. This variant will be replacing the outgoing Simple Dot One model in the country with features like a 3.7 kWh battery, enhanced range and performance, and more. Here’s what all upgrades the Simple OneS will offer over the Simple Dot One:

Simple OneS: Design And Feature Highlights

Simple Energy hasn’t made much differences to the OneS’ design. It wears almost similar design silhouettes as the standard Dot One model. It sports a sharp front apron along with an LED headlamp and sleek LED tail lamp setup. While the primary design elements remain unchanged, there are a few additions that makes it distinctive than standard version.

Raptee, the Indian high-performance E2W startup launched its production-spec electric motorcycle last year in India called the Raptee.HV T30. It arrived as the first high-voltage electric motorcycle supporting 240V architecture and CCS2 DC fast-charging feature. The company has now cleared ARAI certification for the HV.T30 e-motorcycle which means it soon will be up for purchase in the country.

Raptee.HV T30 Electric Motorcycle ARAI Certification Details

Almost six months post its launch, Raptee.HV T30 has cleared its certification from ARAI (Automotive Research Association Of India (ARAI). With the T30 bagging its ARAI certification, Raptee will now be able to officially start the sales. As previously mentioned, the Raptee.HV T30 arrived last year and around 8,000 units have already been pre-booked.

In a statement, Raptee.HV’s CEO and co-founder Dinesh Arjun, said, “We are setting a precedent here, and we believe the entire motorcycle ecosystem will inevitably transition to high voltage, much like the electric car industry due to its innate advantages. Certification of an entirely new architecture means developing not just the subcomponents but also the performance, safety and validation standards, co-creating the supplier ecosystem, and then actively working with the regulatory body to get the new standards through. Arjun further added, ” While it has taken us around six years to build the HV architecture for our first motorcycle, our platforms are now in place to support the launch of a new motorcycle every 12 months from hereon.”

Raptee.HV T30 Price And Delivery Timeline

The Raptee.HV T30 electric motorcycle is priced at Rs. 2.39 lakh in India (ex showroom). The company has logged around 8,000 bookings for its high-voltage electric motorcycle. Speaking of the delivery timeline, Raptee.HV is expected to soon start with the T30’s sale. The first regions where the sales will begin are said to be Chennai and Bengaluru.

If we speak of its highlights then the HV.T30 is India’s first electric motorcycle launched with CCS2 (combined charging system) DC fast charging support. This quick charging facility is currently only supported by electric cars and SUVs.
