BYD showcased an exclusive range of electric four wheelers at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. A few of the models that made it to this year’s Auto Expo are lined up for India launch including the Sealion series. The BYD Sealion 7 along with the Sealion 6 are two of the models that are confirmed to debut in the domestic markets. The former recently went up for pre-reservations and also started reaching dealerships indicating an imminent launch. BYD India has revealed the official debut date for the Sealion 7 in India.

BYD Sealion 7 India Launch Date
BYD India will be launching the Sealion 7 next week in the country. The Chinese EV maker has scheduled the launch of its coupe-style electric SUV on February 17, 2025. Pre-bookings for the Sealion 7 has already started in the country where the company is taking Rs. 70,000 as a token amount. BYD has announced free 7 KW standard charger on the purchase of the Sealion 7 along with an additional battery warranty that will be covering 7 years or 1,50,000 km whichever comes earlier.

BYD Sealion 7 Powertrain: Expected
The BYD Sealion 7 is an internationally available model. Just like the global markets, the Sealion 7 is expected to be launched in dual trims in the country called Premium and Performance. The Premium variant will be a single motor FWD unit with 373 hp of peak power and 380 Nm of peak torque. The Sealion 7’s Performance trim is backed by a dual motor AWD setup with the peak power range beung 530 hp while the torque being 690 Nm. Both models will be using the same 82.56 kWh battery offering up to 567 km range per charge,
