Redmi K50 Pro Design Tipped Via New Leak; What Else We Know?

Following the Xiaomi 12 series, the company is ready to expand its flagship smartphone lineup. However, this time it’s the Redmi series that is getting revamped with the Redmi K50 series. The upcoming series is the successor to the last year’s Redmi K40 tipped to launch with at least two models. The Redmi K50 Pro is likely to join the Redmi 50 vanilla model and has now surfaced online in the form of leaked renders.

Redmi K50 Pro Design Revealed Via Leaked Renders

The Redmi K50 Pro’s renders have surfaced online courtesy Xiaomiui. The publication has shared the image of both fasciae as well the rear panel of the upcoming premium gaming handset. It can be seen flaunting a punch-hole display design upfront. The handset’s panel seems tall (likely 6.4-inches or above) with the in-display camera cutout positioned at the center. The bezels surrounding the panel are narrow on all corners (including the chin). Also, the panel seems to have curved edges adding to the premium factor.

Moving to the rear, the Redmi K50 Pro has a big square-shaped camera module. It is painted in dual shades where the upper half aligning the camera module in the triangular array is black and the lower half silver portion houses the LED flash module. This camera image inscribes “AI Camera 64MP” text confirming the main lens.

Both power and the volume keys are positioned on the right spine. It seems that the power key doesn’t integrate a fingerprint scanner. This rules out the possibility of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. We will likely see an in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics. Thanks to the rumor mill, we have enough details available related to the Redmi K50 Pro’s hardware.

The upcoming premium gaming handset by Xiaomi is also said to use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 series processor as the Xiaomi 12 series. Additionally, it is expected to borrow an AW8697 vibration from the Xiaomi 12 series and the MIX 5. The device will also have a liquid-cooled vapor chamber for heat dissipation. Other Redmi K50 Pro leaked features include a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.

The primary 64MP sensor at the back might be paired up with a 13MP OV13B10 ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Battery capacity tipped is 4,700 mAh aided by 120W fast charging.

Oppo A16K Budget Phone India Launch Likely On Cards; To Feature Helio G35 SoC, 13MP Single Camera

Oppo has been aggressive with new smartphone launches in its affordable “A” series throughout last year (2021). The Chinese tech giant is expected to follow the same footprints this year as well. With us hitting just the second week of January 2022, the brand is already done with a launch (Oppo A96) and is expected to add another model soon in India. The next model in offing is said to be the Oppo A16K. It isn’t an entirely new handset and is making it to the Indian shelves almost two months later its international launch.

Is Oppo A16K India Launch Soon?

The Oppo A16K is tipped to launch sometime soon in India. The leaked poster of the upcoming Oppo budget phone in India comes via Mahesh Telecom. The poster shows the same identical design as the international model with a waterdrop notch display and a gradient rear panel accommodating a square-shaped camera module on the top-left corner.

The Oppo A16K’s leaked poster image also shows the configuration and pricing along with all the key features. The variant listed is 3GB RAM and 32GB storage configuration. The price for this variant is mentioned Rs. 10,490. There is no confirmation if the handset will be launched with any other RAM or storage option or just the aforementioned model. But the report hints at the availability of just the listed variant. Also, the shades available would be black and blue.

Oppo A16K Specifications We Know Of

The Oppo A16K is a recently launched budget handset that broke its covers back in November in the international market (Philippines). The key features have also been confirmed by the teaser poster. This budget handset will be coming to India with the Helio G35 processor. The octa-core entry-level MediaTek SoC will be combined with PowerVR GE8320 GPU and 3GB RAM.

The device will come pre-installed with Android 11 OS and a custom ColorOS user interface. The teaser poster also confirms a 13MP main camera. Note, the international model is also equipped with a single 13MP lens. The Oppo A16K is coming to India with a 6.52-inch waterdrop notch display with standard 720p HD+ resolution. The notch will house a 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The battery packed inside will measure 4,230 mAh in size with 10W charging support.

Several brands have already announced the upcoming products which the Indian audience will receive in the coming days. Tecno is one of those OEMs which is expected to revamp its smartphone lineups in India and also bring its first 5G phone in the country. But it seems that the company will rather bring a budget Pop series handset rather than the 5G phone first. The upcoming series is speculated to be the POP 5 which was made official earlier in the international market.

Tecno POP Series India Launch Officially Confirmed

The Tecno POP series’ upcoming India launch has been confirmed by the dedicated microsite uploaded on the company’s official website. The product page only mentions the ‘POP’ series and doesn’t reveal which model will be introduced in the country first. We can expect the brand to add more details or update this page in the coming days with the exact variants and the launch timeline.

Separately, an online report suggests Tecno will initially launch the POP 5 LTE in the country. This model has been certified via BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) in the past which hints at an imminent launch. Also, its availability online is said to be via Amazon in India. This information seems valid since most of the recent Tecno devices have been made available via Amazon only in the country.

The online retailer might also put up a dedicated microsite for the upcoming handset on its portal. Once it is live, we will share the update on the same. Nevertheless, if Tecno is indeed gearing up to bring the POP 5 LTE in India via Amazon, we know what all specifications it would offer.

The former will be available for purchase at Rs. 14,990 instead of Rs. 15,990 previous selling price. Likewise, for the latter, you need to shell out Rs. 15,990 instead of the last retailing price of Rs. 16,990. The display offered by the Oppo A54 is also standard (LCD with 720P HD+ resolution). Again, there are devices with a better panel (at least higher screen resolution or refresh rate). The camera specifications are decent and you get a 13MP main lens along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The battery is only the most powerful aspect you get on this budget handset. It is a big 5,000 mAh unit that supports 18W fast charging.

Nubia RedMagic 7 Likely In Works; TENAA Listing Reveals Complete Specifications

Out of the handful gaming Android smartphone series is Nubia’s RedMagic. The ZTE-owned brand’s gaming smartphone series was revamped last year with the RedMagic 6. Now, its successor called the RedMagic 7 has apparently hit the production bay and could soon break covers in China. The same has been suggested by a fresh listing on Chinese mobile regulatory TENAA. What else the RedMagic 7’s certification website listing reveals? Take a look:

The Nubia RedMagic 7 has been spotted with the NX679J model number on TENAA. It made previous sightings bearing the same model number at other mobile authentication portals such as 3C and Bluetooth SIG. Now coming back to the features, the RedMagic 7’s TENAA listing mentions 170.57 x 78.33 x 9.5mm dimensions and 215gm weight.

The chipset listed is a 2.9GHz octa-core SoC (unspecified). However, looking at the trend, we can expect it to be Qualcomm’s latest flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The listing does hint at 12GB/ 16GB RAM and 128GB/ 256GB/ 512GB storage options. The RedMagic 7 will be launched with Android 12 OS which we can expect to be topped with an in-house UI.

The listing also mentions a 6.8-inch OLED screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution. The refresh rate is not revealed, but we might see at least 120Hz or a higher refresh rate. An in-display fingerprint scanner for biometrics is also tipped. The listing suggests a 64MP quad-camera setup. However, the specifications of the remaining sensors haven’t been revealed by the listing. The selfie camera is also not revealed.

Other RedMagic 7 features listed on TENAA include a dual-cell battery with a 2,190 mAh rated capacity. The typical battery capacity could likely be 4,500 mAh which might get paired up with 165W fast charging. All the listed features hint at a high-end gaming phone in the making.

 Besides, Nubia is known for integrating game-centric features to the RedMagic series. Even the design is customized for a better gaming experience. We are waiting to see what all new features and improvements this upcoming gaming handset will be equipped with and if it would win the race amongst other popular gaming handsets.

The handset is likely to be available on the same date (January 10) at the e-commerce portal for sale. We can also expect Motorola to sell this device via offline retail stores in the country. The details should be announced during the official launch on January 11, 2022.

It is worth adding that Flipkart has also taken the Moto G71 5G’s dedicated microsite live. The product page is updated with all the key specs which the upcoming mid-range Motorola 5G smartphone will offer. And since the device is already announced internationally, all the features are known.

What About Moto G71 5G’s India Pricing?

While the official teaser poster and Flipkart listing confirm the launch date and features, the pricing isn’t officially announced. However, a Twitter user has suggested a starting price tag of Rs. 18,999. Unfortunately, it is unknown currently which variant the tipster is hinting at.

Also, it is not still clear if both Realme GT 2 Pro and the Realme GT will be announced simultaneously in the country or the former will arrive first in the country.

Nevertheless, the exact Realme GT 2 Pro’s launch timeline would be hard to anticipate just yet. But looking at the developments, specifically with the BIS certification, it can be expected in the coming few months.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 JE Renders, Features Surface Via New Leak; Launch Imminent?

Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 series has been officially announced last year and is ready to be revamped once again with the launch of the Note 11 JE. The specifications and renders of this upcoming Redmi 5G phone has surfaced online. The specifications have also been leaked which hints at a budget-oriented 5G phone. We have listed down the details below:

The Redmi Note 11 JE’s leaked design and specifications come courtesy of Xiaomiui. The next 5G Redmi phone is said to bear resemblance to the vanilla Redmi Note 11 5G in terms of design. It will feature a tall punch-hole display (centrally-aligned cutout). The device will be coming with a similar camera module design as the Note 11 5G with the setup placed on the upper left housing one large and other standard-sized sensors.

The publications suggest the Redmi Note 11 JE is codenamed Lilac. The model number it bears is “22021119KR” and “K19K” actual and short respectively. Coming back to the hardware, the Redmi Note 11 5G is said to arrive with a 6.6-inch display which will support 1080p FHD+ screen resolution.

The display type is not revealed and it remains to be seen if it’s an LCD or AMOLED panel. The refresh rate is tipped to be 90Hz. Under the hood, the Redmi Note 11 5G is rumored to use the Snapdragon 480 Plus processor. The RAM and storage configuration has not been tipped via this leak. But, our guess would be up to 6GB or 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.

Other leaked Redmi Note 11 JE’s include a 50MP Samsung JN1 main camera at the back and likely Android 11 OS-based MIUI 13 OS. This leak doesn’t bring details related to the exact number of additional sensors the Redmi Note 11 JE’s rear camera will offer and what sensor size would be the selfie snapper. The leak also hints at the presence of a 5,000 mAh battery which will support fast charging technology.

When Is Xiaomi Launching Redmi Note 11 JE 5G?

Unfortunately, Xiaomi has not announced any timeline for the Redmi Note 11 JE’s launch. Neither does the brand has revealed the markets where this affordable 5G handset would make its debut.

iQOO 9 series has finally made it officially to the shelves. The new-generation gaming smartphone series has been launched in China powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. As expected, two new models have been launched this game-centric Android smartphone series called the iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro. Besides the latest-gen Qualcomm flagship processor, the iQOO 9 series is packed with some top-notch hardware such as OLED displays and 50MP triple-rear camera.

iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro Full Hardware, Software Details

Both iQOO 9 series devices are packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Both handsets have been announced with up to 12GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage configuration. The software used by both devices is Android 12-OS wrapped around the OriginOS interface.

Now coming to the displays. The standard iQOO 9 is packed with a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 OLED display. The panel supports 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The imaging setup used by the vanilla iQOO 9 at the back includes a 50MP main camera.

It is a Samsung GN5 sensor that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is aided by a 13MP wide-angle sensor that has 120-degree FoV, and a 12MP depth lens. The vanilla iQOO 9 features a 16MP selfie camera.

The iQOO 9 Pro also packs a 6.78-inch display. It is a Samsung E5 10-bit LTPO display with curved edges. The panel supports a higher QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The imaging setup is slightly different compared to the vanilla iQOO 9.

The Pro variant accommodates dual 50MP sensors (main camera and ultrawide angle lens) and a 16MP depth camera. The selfie camera is the same as the vanilla model (16MP). Both models are driven by a 4,700 mAh battery combined with 120W fast charging.

Both iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro have currently made it to the Chinese market. The global launch is pending. Both these models are also confirmed to mark their arrival in the Indian market, but the details are at large. Speaking of the prices, the vanilla iQOO 9 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is launched at RMB 3,999 which is approximately Rs. 47,000 in Indian currency. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model will be sold at RMB 4,799 which is around Rs. 56,000.

Likewise, the iQOO 9 Pro’s 8GB RAM model has been announced at RMB 4,999 which translates to approximately Rs. 58,600. There are two 12GB RAM models. One is paired with 256GB storage and is priced at RMB 5,499 (around Rs. 64,000), while the other is clubbed with 512GB storage priced at RMB 5,999 (around Rs. 70,000).
