Tata Harrier EV

Tata will be once again targeting the mid-size electric SUV market in India this year with the launch of the Harrier EV. It is amongst the most awaited e-SUV model in the country which is confirmed to be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Harrier EV will be launched with the same bold and rugged design as the Harrier ICE version.

Tata Motors is expected to introduce the Harrier EV with dual drivetrain options including single motor FWD (Front wheel drive) and dual motor AWD (All wheel drive) options. The electric variant of Harrier is further said to come loaded with advanced safety suite including six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360° surround camera, panoramic sunroof, and connected car tech.

It will get a slight makeover upfront and will feature a blanked-off grille, aero-inspired alloy wheels, etc., while keeping the remaining aesthetics same as the ICE model. The Harrier EV could be launched in India with multiple battery packs offering a range of approximately 550 km on a full charge.

Tata Sierra EV

The second major EV showcasing from Tata at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be of the Sierra EV. Previously tipped to be introduced by 2026, the Sierra EV is likely making an early preview at the annual auto fair being held a few weeks later. Tata could showcase the Sierra EV’s both ICE and electric variants with the latter tipped to feature battery packs ranging between 60- 80 kWh.

Just like the Harrier EV, the Tata Sierra EV is also expected to be launched with both single motor FWD and dual motor AWD drivetrain options. We might also see similar range of safety and entertainment features as the Harrier EV. Range figures claimed by the Sierra EV is up to 500 km on a single charge. However, we will get more details related to its powertrain and features at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 event.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Teased Ahead Of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Maruti Suzuki via a new post on Instagram have teased its first electric four wheeler which is debuting at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The post shared in collaboration with Nexaexperience handle reiterates its January 17, 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo debut. The post reads ” Maruti Suzuki’s First Electric, e Vitara, the SUV eBorn is worth the wait. Witness it come alive at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 on the 17th of January.”

In the teaser, Maruti Suzuki has given us a sneak peek of the e Vitara’s overall design including both exterior and the interiors. The facia, rear profile, and the centre console have been shown in the teaser video.

The Y-shaped LED DRLs upfront, connected LED tail lamps, shark fin antenna, and the overall chunky profile is visible in the new post. Looking at the overall profile, the India-bound e Vitara seems to be retaining all the design elements at the international variant that was unveiled in Milan, Italy.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Performance

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara’s international variant is powered by the new HEARTECT-e platform which will be used for the Indian version as well. Internationally, Maruti is offering the e Vitara with both 2WD and 4WD drivetrain option. It remains to be seen if the brand brings both these variants to the country or just the 2WD option. Battery pack options will likely be two including 49 kWh and 61 kWh.

Gensol EV, the electric vehicle startup from Pune, Maharashtra will be taking up the Bharat Mobility 2025 expo’s stage to introduce its latest product. After launching the country’s smallest EV, the Gensol EV, the brand is now gearing up for the launch of a reverse electric trike. The upcoming EV model will come with two-door and two-seater capacity competing against the Comet EV in India.

Gensol Ezio Reverse Electric Trike Key Features

Gensol EV’s latest electric four wheeler which is making its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is called the Ezio. The company has uploaded a teaser video of the upcoming two seater, two-door EV in its official website. The upcoming compact electric four wheeler can bee seen with a sunroof, reflector-style headlamp, and LED DRLs. Gensol Ezio will be featuring a front fender-mounted charging port and will offer a floating roof design. At the rear, it will offer wrap-around tail lamp setup.

The teaser video further gives us the glimpse of the Gensol Ezio’s cabin. This new compact electric trike’s layered dashboard looks neat with the pattern-trim finish and the use of gloss black plastic elements. The centre console on the Ezio reverse electric trike seems is narrow and accommodates the power window keys along with the gear shift lever.

Gensol EV has also given hints on the features that the upcoming reverse electric trike will offer. According the brand, the Gensol EV will be equipped with an array of “industry-first” features. It will come with in-cabin driver assistance, AI-driven cloud analytics, and a comprehensive technology stack adding to the premium ride experience.

Gensol Ezio Reverse Electric Trike Performance

Gensol EV is yet to list the powertrain specifics of the upcoming Ezio reverse electric trike. However, the brand has already revealed the ARAI-certified range of up to 200 km per charge and a top speed of 80 kmph. Hyundai Creta EV: Design, Powertrain, And Features

Hyundai Creta EV offers a familiar design language. At the first glance itself, you can make out the stark resemblance as the ICE Creta (N Line version). Th overall exteriors including the fascia and the rear profile combined with the lightings are same.

The minor changes that you’ll notice is the blanked-off grille upfront and the bumpers that now have air flaps integrated for an improved aerodynamic performance. To further enhance the performance, the Creta EV also gets upgraded 17-inch aero alloy wheels. The charging slot is upfront as teased previously. Also, the headlamp and taillight design also remains the same as the Creta N Line variant.

Moving on to its powertrain, the Creta EV will be available with a 51.4 kWh and a 42 kWh battery option. The former is claimed to offer 473 km range per charge, while the latter is said to deliver up to 473 km range per charge.

It will take up to 58 minutes to charge the Creta EV from 10- 80 percent using the DC charger. Whereas, the charging speeds with the standard 11 kW wall charger will be around four hours. Hyundai is bringing the Creta EV with Vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology which will allow the e-SUV to power external devices.

Hyundai Creta EV: Variants, Pre-Booking Details

Hyundai has listed four variants of the Creta EV at its official website including Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Up to eight color options of the upcoming e-SUV will be available for the masses ranging from dual tone to matte shades. Hyundai has also started pre-bookings of the Creta EV in India. Interested buyers can book the Creta EV by paying a token amount of Rs. 25,000.

New Ather 450X Model Launching Soon

Ather Enrgy’s CEO Tarun Mehta, have announced the launch of the 2025 450X e-scooter model on January 4, 2025. The teaser video has been shared at the company’s social media handles. The 450 e-scooter range has been quite popular in the Indian market and finally seems to be getting the long due upgrade.

Ather will be streaming the new 450 e-scooter model’s launch at its official YouTube handle and have already created the live video page. The upcoming 450X variant is likely to come with a slightly higher price tag compared to the current version. If we go by the reports, the new 450X model could get expensive by up to Rs. 5,000. Nevertheless, Ather will be increasing the prices for its entire e-scooter lineup starting January 2025.

2025 Ather 450X E-Scooter: Upgrades Expected

Ather will likely confirm the list of upgrades the 2025 450X has received during the launch. However, the teaser posts shared by the CEO hints at multiple performance, feature, and safety upgrades. In one of the earlier promotional video, an Ather e-scooter was shown taking on 160cc and 125 cc ICE motorcycle and scooter respectively hinting its powerful performance delivery.

It is being anticipated that the 2025 450X variant will offer a higher top speed than the outgoing model and will also see a boost in range delivery. Advanced traction control along with a few firmware upgrades are also expected to be offered by the latest 450X e-scooter model.

Hyundai Creta EV Official Teaser: What’s Revealed?

The first set of Creta EV’s teaser has made it to the web confirming its imminent launch. Hyundai has shared the glimpse how its first mid-size electric SUV will look like. Th teaser shows the Creta plugged to a charger highlighting the electric makeover this popular SUV has received. The placement of charging socket at the front grille area is confirmed with the teaser poster.

While the teaser doesn’t clearly show the design, one can easily figure out the resemblance it bears with the ICE version in terms of the looks. Besides, previous spy shot images of the Creta EV have also shown the identical design approach being taken for the Creata EV as the Creta ICE facelift model. The former’s facia as well as the side and rear profile will get the same design attributes.

However, there are indications that the cabin could get some upgrades since the electric version of Creta will be priced higher than the ICE counterpart. Also, the front grill, alloy wheels will be new highlighting the EV styling.

We can expect Hyundai to share some of the cabin features and additional design overhaul via new teasers ahead of the launch. Honda Activa e, QC1 Electric Scooters Pre-Booking Details

The Honda Activa e electric scooter’s pre-bookings have started in India. The company has announced the pre-registrations have commenced at authorized dealerships in select Indian cities. Interested buyers can pre-book the Activa e by visiting the nearby dealerships and pay a token amount of Rs. 1,000. Note, customers can pre-book the Activa e electric scooter in Honda authorized dealerships at Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Mumbai.

HMSI has commenced the bookings for the QC1 e-scooter model which also has been launched alongside the Activa e. The booking amount for the QC1 remains the same as the Activa e. However, customers in additional cities will be able to reserve the QC1. Besides Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune, reservations are active in Hyedrabad and Chandigarh as well.

Bajaj Chetak 35 Series

This is another new e-scooter lineup which has been introduced recently in India. Bajaj Chetak 35 series is launched in three variants with all the models utilizing a new frame, motor, and controller. The Chetak 35 series comes with only subtle design updates with an increased wheelbase and also the floorboard area. Honda hasn’t started with the deliveries of the Activa e and is expected to make it available from next year.

Honda’s second electric scooter, the QC1 is also another suitable contender in the list of best family e-scooters launched in 2024. Based on the same platform as the Activa e, the QC1 also brings along a comfortable ride experience at affordable rates. The QC1 features a fixed battery setup and has just a single 1.5 kWh battery unit as its driveforce. The Honda QC1 offers a slightly lower range than the Activa e since it packs a single battery. However, the 80 km range it is claimed to deliver meets the requirements of daily commuters.

MG Cyberster EV Motor, Battery Specs Revealed

JSW MG Motor India has just confirmed the powertrain details of the Cyberster sports electric car. The company is bringing this electric car as a CBU (Completely Built Up) unit integratd with the same powertrain as the international model.

The Cyberster EV will be equipped with a dual AWD motor setup mounted on each axle. This dual oil-cooled motor packs will help the sports EV to produce up to 510 hp of peal power and up to 725 Nm of peak torque.

MG has firther revealed the Cyberster EV will be using a 77 kWh battery pack and claiming it will deliver up to 580 km range as per CLTC cycle. However, the real world range is could vary. This sports electric car will make a sprint from 0- 100 kmph within 3.2 seconds and deliver a top speed of up to 195 kmph.

Currently, the developments only hints at the arrival of AWD variant. The company might also introduce the Cyberster EV’s RWD variant as well. But by when this model will be launched is uncertain.

New MG Electric MPV Debuting Alongside

Alongside the Cyberster EV, MG Motor India is also planning to introduce another EV model. The company is expected to launch the Mifa 9 MPV. This e-MPV will be showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Details are expected to be confirmed around the same timeline.
