Kia Motors have finally introduced the facelift version of the EV6. The luxury electric SUV has received a fresh design upgrade where it looks more premium. Besides the updated design, the new EV6 facelift also gets an improved powertrain featuring a bigger battery and a better range delivery than the outgoing EV6 model.

2025 Kia EV6 Facelift Model: Design Highlights

The all-new MY25 Kia EV6 facelift model’s primary design highlights includes the re-designed exteriors, specifically the facia. The EV6 facelift model now sports the angular ‘Star Map’ headlamp design with adaptive brightness. The rear profile also gets a newly designed full-width connected LED tail-light setup which distinguishes it from the previous-gen model.

The bumper design on the Kia EV6 facelift is also tweaked adding on to the premium looks and feel. The My25 Kia EV6 facelift comes with 19 and 20-inch alloy wheels. As for the interiors, there aren’t any major tweaks made here. The dual 12.3-inch infotainment screen gets slight repositioning, but the primary design elements remains unchanged on the dashboard. The steering column is also electronically adjusted for an improved handling feedback.

Rest of the cabin features includes ventilated and heated seats with new touch controls, an AR (augmented reality) satellite navigation view, and a fingerprint scanner-enabled ignition system.

My2025 Kia EV6 Facelift Powertrain: What’s Changed?

The new 2025 Kia EV6 facelift is introduced with dual drivetrain options. There is a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) single motor variant which delivers up to 168 kW peak power and up to 350 Nm of peak torque. The EV6 facelift is also introduced with a All-wheel-drive (AWD) option where the dual motor setup churns out up to 239 kW of peak power and up to 605 Nm of peak torque.

The bigger battery pack is another highlight of the Kia EV6 Facelift model. Instead of the 77.4 kWh battery pack, the facelift model employs a bigger 84 kWh battery pack which also will deliver a higher driving range compared to the outgoing model. This new variant is said to offer up to 494 km range on a full battery charge as per WLTP cycle. Speaking of the charging time, it will take up to 18 minutes for the battery to get a refuel of 10- 80 percent.

Matter Energy, the Indian E2W manufacturer introduced India’s first geared electric motorcycle called Matter Aera 5000 back in March 2023. The company started taking pre-bookings for the e-motorcycle soon after its unveiling with the delivery timeline set for Q1 of 2024. Matter Aera 5000 Deliveries Postponed: What’s The New Timeline?

Matter Energy has revealed the new delivery timeline for the Aera 5000 electric motorcycles in India. As mentioned, the availability has been delayed till the festive season and you can now expect the deliveries to commence by the end of 2024. It is worth adding that Matter has been taking pre-bookings for the Aera 5000 e-motorcycles and has logged 40,000 interest till now. The postponed timeframe might come as a bummer for the consumers who have already made the registrations.

Matter Aera 5000, Aera 5000+ Price In India

The Matter Aera e-motrocycle comes in two variants. The Matter Aera 5000 is the base model which is priced at Rs. 1.74 lakh (ex showroom). The Matter Aera 5000+ which is the high-end variant will be sold at Rs. 1.84 lakh (ex showroom).

Matter Aera 5000 E-Motorcycle Powertrain

The Matter Aera 5000 electric motorcycle’s biggest highlight is the four-speed gearbox despite it being an EV. It is backed by a 10.5 kW electric motor linked to a 5 kWh battery pack delivering up to 150 km range on a full battery charge. It will take up to 5 hours to charge the Matter Aera’s battery from 0- 100 percent.

MG Motors and JSW Group’s venture is set to pick pace post 2024’s second half. With this joint collaboration, MG Motors is expected to add a new four wheeler to its portfolio in India within every three to six months. And it seems that the first model that MG is rolling out is the Cloud EV. Just a week ago, the upcoming MG Cloud EV was spotted docked at a charging station which hinted at its imminent launch. Now, a new report has surfaced which gives insight into the expected pricing of the MG Cloud EV.

MG Cloud EV India Price Details Leaked

As per a new report by Autocar India, the MG Cloud EV will be launched with a starting price under Rs. 20 lakh in the Indian market. The publication cites industry sources have revealed the expected price range of the new MG electric car in the country. The report also indicates that the Cloud EV will possibly be priced lower than the ZS EV which is also currently being sold with a starting price tag below Rs. 20 lakh.

To recap, the MG ZS EV price in India starts at Rs. 18.98 lakh. And if this report is accurate, the Cloud EV might have an asking price below Rs. 18 lakh. However, the exact range will be difficult to anticipate just yet. The lower prices will be credited to the localization with part manufacturing including the battery pack.

If we further consider this report to correct then the MG Cloud EV will also compete against the popular EVs such as the Nexon and the Mahindra XUV 400 electric. How well the Cloud EV takes on these two popular compact electric SUVs will be interesting to see.

MG Cloud EV Powertrain

The MG Cloud EV is tipped to come with a front-axle mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) electric motor generating around 147 bhp of peak power. It could come with dual battery pack options with the base variant featuring a 37.9 kWh battery and the high-end variant equipped with a 50.6 kWh battery option. The smaller battery pack variant of the Cloud EV could deliver up to 360 km range per charge, while the bigger battery variant might deliver up to 460 km range on a full battery charge.

TVS Motors grabbed the headlines recently for its upcoming affordable e-scooter models. Resting all the rumors, the company has just added the cheapest iQube e-scooter model to its catalogue in the Indian market. The newly launched iQube e-scooter model has been introduced with a smaller battery pack than the remaining iQube variants and has price range under Rs. 1 lakh.

TVS iQube E-Scooter Model Powertrain: What’s Different?

TVS iQube’s latest variant is essentially the base model in the iQube series. The iQube base model launched comes with a smaller 2.2 kWh battery pack. Now, buyers will get to choose this electric scooter from three different battery pack options and 5 different trims.

Performance metrics of the iQube base variant featuring the smaller battery pack includes a peak power of 4.4 kW and a peak torque of 140 Nm. This iQube e-scooter variant’s battery will take around 2 hours to charge the battery from 0- 80 percent. This speed will be with the standard 950W charger that will ship with it. TVS also touts the base iQube e-scooter model to be amongst the top-speed affordable e-scooter. It is said to reach a top speed of up to 75 kmph. As for the range, the base iQube e-scooter model can reach 75 km on a full battery charge.

In terms of features, TVS has equipped the base model of the iQube e-scooter with a 5-inch digital TFT instrument console. It comes with Bluetooth connectivity and supports turn-by-turn navigation. The e-scooter also offers around 30l under seat storage and has LED head lamps, alloy wheels, and more.

New TVS iQube Base Variant Price In India

The TVS iQube base model is the most affordable variant which carries a price label of Rs. 94,999 in India. It can be purchased in dual color options which include Walnut Brown and Pearl White.

TVS Motors recently started deliveries of its most premium electric scooter in India — the TVS X. Budget TVS iQube Electric Scooter Models: When Is The Launch Scheduled?

The affordable TVS iQube electric scooter models are confirmed to be under development by the company’s CEO and Director, Mr. KN Radhakrishnan. Revealing upcoming TVS roadmap, Radhakrishnan not only hinted at the new iQube e-scooter models launch, but also suggested the upcoming lineup to be priced aggressively in the Indian market to take on the competition.

Upcoming TVS Electric Scooter Models Pricing Details

While the price range of the new TVS e-scooter models is at large, it is expected to be targeted at budget consumers. There are other reports indicating the upcoming budget TVS iQube electric scooters to compete against the likes of the Bajaj Chetak and the Ola S1 Air in the country.

Just for reference, the currently available iQube e-scooter models cab be pruchased starting at Rs. 1.36 lakh (ex showroom). The top-model of the iQube e-scooter is priced at Rs. 1.46 lakh (ex showroom). This makes us believe the affordable TVS iQube electric scooter could be priced between Rs. 1 lakh to Rs. 1.20 lakh range (ex showroom).

New TVS iQube E-Scooter Models: Powertrain Information

Well, these details are under the wraps as of now. It is yet to be confirmed what all trims the upcoming budget iQube e-scooter models will get when we speak of powertrain and features. Considering we are looking at budget models, there are high probabilities of a smaller battery pack and lower range figures.

Ola S1X Deliveries Begin In India

The Ola S1X electric scooter’s deliveries have finally kick started in the Indian market. Ola Electric introduced this affordable S1 e-scooter variant back in August 2023 and has now made it available at the dealerships across the country. To recap, the Ola S1X has been launched with three battery options in India ranging from 2kW to 4kW. It sits below the Ola S1 Air and is currently the cheapest e-scooter model in the S1 series.

Ola S1X Prices In India

As mentioned, the S1X is the most affordable Ola electric scooter in the market. This e-scooter can be purchased starting at just Rs. 70,000 if you opt for the 2kWh battery variant. The S1X mid-trim featuring a 3kWh battery can be purchased at Rs. 85,000 (ex showroom). Whereas, the most powerful Ola S1X model equipped with a 4kWh battery is priced at Rs. 1 lakh (ex showroom).

Ola S1X: What’s Under Its Hood

The Ola S1X despite being an affordable e-scooter model has a decent powertrain which will be apt for consumers looking for an eco-friendly city commute. This model is backed by a hub mounted electric motor producing 6kWh peak power. The S1X can be opted from 2kWh, 3kWh, and 4kWh battery option with a starting range delivery of up to 95 km going all the way up to 190 km per charge. The range mentioned here is ARAI-certified.

The S1X base model has up to 85 kmph top speed and an acceleration speeds of 0-40 kmph in 4.1 seconds. The S1X with 3KWh abd 4kWh battery packs offer up to 90 kmph top speed and an acceleration of 0- 40 kmph in just 3.3 seconds.

TVS X Electric Scooter: When Does Deliveries Start In India

The flagship TVS X electric scooter model is finally making to the dealerships across India. TVS is said to start its deliveries from the coming weeks in the country. To recap, the TVS X official launch took place last year and it arrived as top-of-the-line E2W from the company.

Mr KN Radhakrishnan, TVS Motors CEO and Director, revealed the availability timeline for the TVS X through company earning calls. As mentioned above, the TVS X is one of the most premium offerings whose price is set at Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex showroom) in India. With this pricing, it is expensive than even some of the popular electric motorcycles in the country such as the Revolt RV400 and the newly launched Okaya Ferrato Disruptor.

TVS X Electric Scooter: Powertrain And Features

The TVS X sports a maxi-scooter styling which is different and more advanced than the iQube lineup. This e-scooter features a large LED headlight panel. This e-scooter sits on chunky alloys which integrated petal disc brakes. The TVS X is the first e-scooter that comes with single channel ABS braking system.

Under the hood, the TVS X electric scooter mounts a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) electric motor which produces 11 kW peak power and 40 Nm peak torque. This premium TVS electric scooter is backed by a 4.4 kWh battery with which it is claimed to offer up to 140 km range. It can sprint from 0-40 kmph in 2.6s and reaches up to 105 kmph top speed.
