2025 Ather 450 Series: Variants, Features Upgrades

Ather has launched the 2025 range of 450 e-scooters loaded with new and improved features. The primarily updated models are the 450X and the 450 Apex. Both these e-scooter models have been equipped with a new Multi-Mode Traction control feature. This is s standout riding mode that brings three different modes for a safer ride including Rain, Road, and Rally.

The Rain mode will allow the e-scooter to get a better grip when the road conditions are wet, while the Road mode will enhance the overall performance and safety. On the other hand, the Rally mode will let users ride these two 450 series e-scooters easily through off-roads.

Ather Energy has also expanded the Magic Twist feature to the 450X e-scooter model which earlier was only accessible to the Rizta and 450 Apex models. This Magic Twist feature allows the riders to stop the e-scooter by twisting the throttle and without applying the brakes.

Ather has also updated AtherStack 6 with new features including Google Maps, Alexa, and Ping My Scooter option.

Latest Ather software, AtherStack 6 is packed with features like – Google Maps, Alexa, WhatsApp notification on the dashboard, which allows the rider to access messages without having to take out their smartphones: “Ping My Scooter”, so the rider can easily locate their scooters in a sea of vehicles with the help of sound and visual cues and Live location sharing, which allows riders to share their live location with a preset contact while they’re on the move.

Also all the variants in the 450 lineup will be covered under the new Eight70 warranty which offers coverage for up to 8 years or 80,000 km, whichever comes first, and 70% battery health assurance up to 8 years.

2025 Ather 450 E-Scooter: Performance (Range)

Ather 450X which is the low-end model in the new lineup as well features a 3.7 kWh battery pack. This model is said to deliver an IDC claimed range of 161 km per charge. However, its real life range is expected to up to 130 km per charge.

Ather 450X model retains the same 2.9 kWh battry pack which is said to deliver an IDC claimed range of up to 126 km per charge. The Ather 450 Apex also packs a 3.7 kWh battery and the 450S variant gets a 2.9 kWh battery offering 157 km and 122 km IDC range respectively.

Tata Motos have announced Green and exchange bonus offers for the Punch EV and the Tiago EV models. Customers can avail hefty price cuts on both these Tata electric cars as a part of the new year deal. The offers are currently being given to the MY2024 and the MY2025 stocks of Punch and the Tiago EV. Notably, these discounts are for the Tiago EV’s MY2024 stocks. There is also benefits with Rs. 40,000 for the Tiago EV MY2025 model.

Hyundai Creat Electric Interiors And Features

In the latest teaser video, Hyundai Creta electric’s dashboard design has been revealed showcasing the resemblance it bears with the ICE model. The Creta EV dashboard will come with a dual screen setup (10.25-inch) and will also include a set of physical keys for different controls.

But what makes the dashboard of the Creta’s electric version different from the ICE model is the new three-spoke steering wheel and the drive selector mounted on the dteering column. The design of the lower centre console is also updated with the inclusion of cup holders, electric parking keys, and new drive mode selector.

The touchscreen infotainment system on the Creta EV gets connected car tech compatibility and will support both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cabin will also offer advanced features such as dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, electronic driver seat, and 8-speaker Bose sound system.

Creta EV Safety Features

Lastly, the safety features offered by the Creta EV will be six air bags (all variants), 360° camera, parking sensors (front and rear), EBS (electronically stability control), auto hold, TPMS (Tyre pressure monitoring system), and Level-2 ADAS. Hyundai will be launching the Creta EV with a 42 kWh and a 51.4 kWh battery option linked to 135 PS and a 171 PS electric motor respectively.

Tata Harrier EV

Tata will be once again targeting the mid-size electric SUV market in India this year with the launch of the Harrier EV. It is amongst the most awaited e-SUV model in the country which is confirmed to be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Harrier EV will be launched with the same bold and rugged design as the Harrier ICE version.

Tata Motors is expected to introduce the Harrier EV with dual drivetrain options including single motor FWD (Front wheel drive) and dual motor AWD (All wheel drive) options. The electric variant of Harrier is further said to come loaded with advanced safety suite including six airbags, Level 2 ADAS, 360° surround camera, panoramic sunroof, and connected car tech.

It will get a slight makeover upfront and will feature a blanked-off grille, aero-inspired alloy wheels, etc., while keeping the remaining aesthetics same as the ICE model. The Harrier EV could be launched in India with multiple battery packs offering a range of approximately 550 km on a full charge.

Tata Sierra EV

The second major EV showcasing from Tata at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 will be of the Sierra EV. Previously tipped to be introduced by 2026, the Sierra EV is likely making an early preview at the annual auto fair being held a few weeks later. Tata could showcase the Sierra EV’s both ICE and electric variants with the latter tipped to feature battery packs ranging between 60- 80 kWh.

Just like the Harrier EV, the Tata Sierra EV is also expected to be launched with both single motor FWD and dual motor AWD drivetrain options. We might also see similar range of safety and entertainment features as the Harrier EV. Range figures claimed by the Sierra EV is up to 500 km on a single charge. Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Teased Ahead Of Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Maruti Suzuki via a new post on Instagram have teased its first electric four wheeler which is debuting at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The post shared in collaboration with Nexaexperience handle reiterates its January 17, 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo debut. The post reads ” Maruti Suzuki’s First Electric, e Vitara, the SUV eBorn is worth the wait. Witness it come alive at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 on the 17th of January.”

In the teaser, Maruti Suzuki has given us a sneak peek of the e Vitara’s overall design including both exterior and the interiors. The facia, rear profile, and the centre console have been shown in the teaser video.

The Y-shaped LED DRLs upfront, connected LED tail lamps, shark fin antenna, and the overall chunky profile is visible in the new post. Looking at the overall profile, the India-bound e Vitara seems to be retaining all the design elements at the international variant that was unveiled in Milan, Italy.

Maruti Suzuki E Vitara Performance

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara’s international variant is powered by the new HEARTECT-e platform which will be used for the Indian version as well. Gensol Ezio Reverse Electric Trike Key Features

Gensol EV’s latest electric four wheeler which is making its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 is called the Ezio. The company has uploaded a teaser video of the upcoming two seater, two-door EV in its official website. The upcoming compact electric four wheeler can bee seen with a sunroof, reflector-style headlamp, and LED DRLs. Gensol Ezio will be featuring a front fender-mounted charging port and will offer a floating roof design. At the rear, it will offer wrap-around tail lamp setup.

The teaser video further gives us the glimpse of the Gensol Ezio’s cabin. This new compact electric trike’s layered dashboard looks neat with the pattern-trim finish and the use of gloss black plastic elements. The centre console on the Ezio reverse electric trike seems is narrow and accommodates the power window keys along with the gear shift lever.

Gensol EV has also given hints on the features that the upcoming reverse electric trike will offer. According the brand, the Gensol EV will be equipped with an array of “industry-first” features. It will come with in-cabin driver assistance, AI-driven cloud analytics, and a comprehensive technology stack adding to the premium ride experience.

Hyundai Creta EV: Design, Powertrain, And Features

Hyundai Creta EV offers a familiar design language. At the first glance itself, you can make out the stark resemblance as the ICE Creta (N Line version). Th overall exteriors including the fascia and the rear profile combined with the lightings are same.

The minor changes that you’ll notice is the blanked-off grille upfront and the bumpers that now have air flaps integrated for an improved aerodynamic performance. To further enhance the performance, the Creta EV also gets upgraded 17-inch aero alloy wheels. The charging slot is upfront as teased previously. Also, the headlamp and taillight design also remains the same as the Creta N Line variant.

Moving on to its powertrain, the Creta EV will be available with a 51.4 kWh and a 42 kWh battery option. The former is claimed to offer 473 km range per charge, while the latter is said to deliver up to 473 km range per charge.

It will take up to 58 minutes to charge the Creta EV from 10- 80 percent using the DC charger. Whereas, the charging speeds with the standard 11 kW wall charger will be around four hours. Hyundai is bringing the Creta EV with Vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology which will allow the e-SUV to power external devices.

Hyundai Creta EV: Variants, Pre-Booking Details

Hyundai has listed four variants of the Creta EV at its official website including Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. Up to eight color options of the upcoming e-SUV will be available for the masses ranging from dual tone to matte shades. Hyundai has also started pre-bookings of the Creta EV in India. Hyundai Creta EV Official Teaser: What’s Revealed?

The first set of Creta EV’s teaser has made it to the web confirming its imminent launch. Hyundai has shared the glimpse how its first mid-size electric SUV will look like. Th teaser shows the Creta plugged to a charger highlighting the electric makeover this popular SUV has received. The placement of charging socket at the front grille area is confirmed with the teaser poster.

While the teaser doesn’t clearly show the design, one can easily figure out the resemblance it bears with the ICE version in terms of the looks. Besides, previous spy shot images of the Creta EV have also shown the identical design approach being taken for the Creata EV as the Creta ICE facelift model. The former’s facia as well as the side and rear profile will get the same design attributes.

However, there are indications that the cabin could get some upgrades since the electric version of Creta will be priced higher than the ICE counterpart. Also, the front grill, alloy wheels will be new highlighting the EV styling.

We can expect Hyundai to share some of the cabin features and additional design overhaul via new teasers ahead of the launch. The Honda Activa e electric scooter’s pre-bookings have started in India. The company has announced the pre-registrations have commenced at authorized dealerships in select Indian cities. Interested buyers can pre-book the Activa e by visiting the nearby dealerships and pay a token amount of Rs. 1,000. Note, customers can pre-book the Activa e electric scooter in Honda authorized dealerships at Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Mumbai.

Yet another INGLO-platform based electric SUV from Mahindra takes the top spot when we speak of the futuristic e-SUVs launched in 2024 in India. This is the first coupe-style EV model that comes from Mahindra’s lot featuring an advanced dashboard with triple screen layout and a new steering wheel with an illuminated logo. The XEV 9e comes with the same RWD setup as the BE 6e and has both 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery pack options. The XEV 9e is claimed to offer 656 km ARAI certified range and offer acceleration speeds of 0-100 kmph in just 6.8 seconds.

Tata Curvv EV

Tata Motors have been a step ahead from Mahindra this year adopting the coupe-style approach for an EV. Just a few months before XEV 9e’s launch, Tata introduced its first coupe-style electric SUV, the Curvv EV in India. This e-SUV is powered by the new Activ.ev platform and comes with dual battery pack options. The Curvv EV’s base model has a 45 kWh battery pack, while the top trim gets a 55 kWh battery offering 502 and 595 km range per charge respectively. Similar to Mahindra’s new e-SUV lineup, Tata Curvv EV is also packed with several advanced features that makes it future-ready.
