New CFMotor Electric Sports Bike: What All We know?

The CFMotor electric sports bike under development is said to be based on the company’s existing 450SR model. The prototype images of the company’s new sports e-bike is what hints the same platform being used for its construction as the 450SR.

The leaked set of images can be seen featuring a same tubular-steel frame as the 450SR sports bike. The company seems to be borrowing the same sub frame too for the upcoming electric motorcycle from the ICE-model. That’s not it, the swingarm and also the seat frame seems identical to the 450SR variant.

Just for reference, the 450SR sports bike is equipped with a powerful 450CC parallel twin engine. CFMotor is expected to get rid of this engine and replace it with a capable electric drivetrain including an electric motor and battery. The latter could be slightly bigger in size for a longer ride range with a single charge.

Expected Rivals

The developments around the CFMoto sports electric bike are limited currently. We only have come across the patent images and not the powertrain details. But going by all the details available, it seems that this CFMoto electric motorcycle will be launched in the premium category. Considerable rivals are the Ultraviolette F77 and the Orxa Mantis both of which offer a powerful performance despite being loaded with an electric powertrain.

Verdict

CFMoto is apparently opting for using the same chassis and platform for its new electric sports bike to keep a check on the price spectrum. By using the identical platform, the probabilities of managing the cost-effectiveness increases. Also, this is a different approach from what the general auto makers opt for their EVs where they employ an entire new platform from scratch.

Hero Vida Sway Electric Tri-Scooter Concept Revealed: Safest Tilting V1-Based Trike

Key Highlights

  • Hero Vida Sway concept unveiled
  • Will be an electric trike with independent suspension module
  • Is based on V1 e-scooter but with two front wheels.

Hero MotoCorp is proactively ramping up its portfolio in the two-wheeler electric segment. The company’s Vida e-scooter lineup has been trending the charts when it comes to popularity. The brand recently organized the Hero World 2024 event, where it showcased an exclusive range of Hero ICE as well as electric concepts which it plans to launch in the coming years in India. One of the electric concepts which stole the show is the Vida Sway electric trike. Based on the Vida V1, this new concept is revealed with self-tilting design which is first-of-its-kind for Hero. By when can we expect the new Vida Sway electric trike to make its debut and what all it will offer when we speak of powertrain and features? Let’s find out:

Hero Vida Sway: A New Concept Trike Set To Redefine Electric Mobility In India

Hero MotoCorp’s concept Vida Sway electric trike doesn’t move away entirely from the Vida V1 in terms of design. But it has one striking change that distinct it from the conventional electric scooters. The Hero Vida Sway concept is showcased with two front wheels instead of a single as offered by the V1 series e-scooters.

Except for this, the remaining design language of the Vida Sway is identical to the Vida V1 e-scooter. This includes the same headlamp design, side panels, and even paint scheme. The dual front wheel setup is claimed to offer better balanced rides as compared to traditional two-wheeler scooters.

As per the reports. Honda engineers have re-worked the design to incorporate the dual front wheels with an independent suspension module. This mean each of the front wheel of the Vida Sway has a dedicated suspension system. Also, disc brakes will be integrated on each of the front wheel for effective braking.

The Hero Vida Sway concept trike has been loaded with a 7-inch digital instrument console with touchscreen compatibility. The flat floorboard and seats are also borrowed from the standard Vida V1 electric scooter.

Changes In Powertrain

Well, it seems that only the design have been reworked with the Vida Sway. This concept trike is expected to retain the same powertrain as well from the Vida V1. But we might see a slight difference in the range considering the Vida Sway will have a little more kerb weight compared to the two-wheel Vida V1.

Conclusion

While the two-wheelers have been a hit amongst the Indian consumers, tikes are yet to become a standard personal commute option in the country. But we are witnessing a gradual shift in this department too. Masses are readily upgrading to the greener mobility solution and this does open up opportunities for non-conventional vehicle design.
