Gogoro Pulse e-scooter stands out in the crowd with its “Aeroforce” design language. It offers an aggressive fascia featuring a matrix LED headlamp. As many as 13 distinct LEDs are stacked in a parallel positioning for the matrix effect. It features a single-seat design and comes void of grabrail at the rear boasting a sporty look.

Gogoro Pulse E-Scooter: Powertrain

Gogoro Pulse is a high-performance e-scooter which has been equipped with a Hype Drive H1 motor setup. This is a air-cooled electric motor which as per the brand can run to up to 11,000 rpm. The air-cooled electric motor of the Pulse e-scooter generates 9 kW peak power which is higher than the conventional e-scooters in the market.

The entire powertrain is additionally backed by a liquid cooling system. Gogoro hasn’t shared the top speed figures, but the Pulse is said to take just 3.5 seconds to reach from 0-50 kmph. Gogoro Pulse gets swappable battery setup but whether its a single or a dual battery module is not known at this point. There is no word on the range delivery offerred by this sports-style e-scooter but we are expecting the details in the coming days.

Delhi-based EV startup mXmoto is back with another electric motorcycle. The two-wheeler EV manufacturer has now upgraded its portfolio in the country with M16 electric motorcycle. The cruiser electric bike comes with a solid metal body and an all-electric drivetrain under Rs. 2 lakh in India.

The mXmoto M16 boasts high-resistant metal chassis which makes it rugged for the Indian road conditions. This design construction combined with the cruiser style makes it unique in its segment. A modern touch is added with a digital LCD instrument console, KED headlamps, and LED turn indicators. However, this electric motorcycle is claimed to cover a distance ranging between 160- 220 km on one full battery charge. It will take approximately three hours for the battery to get a charge from 0- 90 percent.

mXmoto M16 Features

mXMoto M16 is loaded with several smart and security features. Range of smart-tech onboard includes digital console offering suite of smart features accessible via compatible mobile app. This electric motorcycle comes with Bluetooth support, turn-by-turn navigation support parking/ reverse parking assist, call-compatibility, anti-skid assist mode. It also offers cruise control. Braking will be handled by triple-disc system, while suspension is taken care of by a central shock absorber system which is adjustable.

Trademark document images of the Ford Mustang Mach E has surfaced online. The leaked documentations suggests Ford is gearing up for the Mustang Mach E’s launch in the Indian market. The trademark registration is another indication that Ford is heading back to the Indian shores with its automobile business.

We already have come across multiple rumors of the Endeavor’s return to the country in all-new-avatar and now Mustang EV’s arrival is being anticipated too. The Volvo XC40 Recharge EV’s discount deals are only valid for the month of February 2024. The offers will also be applicable on the availability of the stocks at the dealerships. The prices will be reflecting to original post Feb or once the stocks are unavailable.

As for the powertrain, the Volvo C40 Recharge electric SUV coupe gets a dual motor setup that is based on the CMA platform (Compact Modular Architecture).  The peak power churned out by the C40 Recharge electric is 408 bhp, while the peak torque will be 660Nm.

Adding on the power is a 78 kWh battery inside the Volvo XC40 Recharge electric SUV which allows a run of up to 418 km on a full charge. The battery pack takes up to 28 minutes to get a charge from 10-80 percent using 150kW DC charger.

Tata Motors has announced some solid deals for EV fans. The Indian car manufacturer is offering discounts on its top selling EVs. Both Tata Tiago EV and the Nexon.ev prices have been axed and the updated prices are reflecting on the official website.

Tata has now reduced the prices of the Nexon EV by up to Rs. 1.20 lakh. The discount offers are announced on both Nexon EV Medium and Long Range models. The base model of the Nexon EV (Medium Range) will now be available for purchase at Rs. 14.49 lakh instead of previous retail price of Rs. 15.69 lakh. On the other hand, the Nexon EV Long Range model will now be up for grabs at Rs. 16.99 lakh.

Tata Tiago EV Latest Discount Offers

On the Tiago EV, Tata has announced up to Rs. 70,000 discount. Following the price cut, the Tata Tiago EV will be sold starting at Rs. 7.99 lakh in the Indian market. The Tiago EV has been retailing starting at Rs. 8.49 lakh before the latest price cut.

Reason For Price Cut? Is It Permanent Discount?

The reason being cited for the latest discount on the Nexon.ev and the Tiago EV is the reduced cost for battery cells that are used for power delivery. With the lower battery cell costs, Tata has managed to give such heft deals on both its popular EVs in the country.

We can’t say for sure if this price cut is permanent or temporary. Since the reduced costs are associated with the one of the manufacturing parts, there are chances of price fluctuations in the future. But how soon Tata would implement any new price change remains subjective on multiple factors.

Skoda is gearing up to foray into the Indian EV market with the launch of Enyaq EV on February 27, 2024. The e-SUV will be arriving via the CBU (Completely Built-Up unit) route which is the general approach to import premium vehicles in the country.

In this, the vehicles being imported to the country are completely assembled and in running conditions with 30- 125 percent import duty imposed. As for the Skoda Enyaq, this e-SUV is expected to be launched starting at Rs. 50- Rs. 60 lakh price range.
