India’s Most Valuable Company – Reliance Industries had its Annual General Meeting today for the year 2021. Asia’s richest person and Reliance Industries Chairman – Mr Mukesh Ambani today unveiled the new 4G Android Smartphone under the Jio brand. This new 4G smartphone will be called the Jio Phone Next 4G. This new 4G Android Smartphone will be launched in India on September 10, 2021, across the country.

The company hasn’t revealed many details about the smartphone at the AGM 2021. But, we do know that it will come with cutting-edge features like a voice assistant feature, smart camera with augmented reality filters, language translation, automatic read-aloud of screen text and many more.

Also, it is worth mentioning that since Reliance Jio has developed this new 4G smartphone in association with Google, so it will have a custom Android operating system that has been specifically designed for this new 4G Jio smartphone by Google. Mr Mukesh Ambani, while unveiling the new Jio 4G Smartphone, said that this fully featured smartphone co-developed by Google and Jio will be amongst the most affordable smartphones in India and globally. It is expected to be priced around Rs 3,000 and if Jio launches it at this price, it might turn out to be a hit.

The Realme Narzo 30 4G and Narzo 30 5G will be available on Flipkart, Realme India’s official website and offline stores across the country. The first sale will go live on June 30, 2021 on Flipkart and during the first sale, the Narzo 30 5G and the Narzo 30 4G will be available for grabs at Rs 500 less than their usual price.

Both of them have triple cameras at the rear. The primary sensor is a 48 MP unit that is accompanied by a 2 MP monochrome sensor and a 2 MP macro shooter. At the front, they get a 16 MP camera. Also, both of them pack a 5000 mAh battery. But, while the Narzo 30 4G gets 30W fast charging, the Narzo 30 5G gets 18W fast charging only.

90 Hz Display – The newly launched Poco M3 Pro 5G features a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90 Hz high refresh rate system. The display panel even gets Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Good Processor and 5G – The Poco M3 Pro 5G is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset coupled with the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. This SoC is built on a 7 Nm architecture and supports 5G mobile networks.

Big Battery with Fast Charging – The new Poco M3 Pro 5G packs a 5000mAh battery with 18W fast charging and the fast charger of the smartphone is bundled inside the box.

Software – The Poco M3 Pro runs on MIUI with Poco launcher and though MIUI is infamous for bugs and ads on Xiaomi devices, on Poco smartphones they work really good and offer a good experience.

CONS

Plastic Build – The Poco M3 Pro 5G has a plastic back panel and while it does look good, the panel doesn’t feel premium at all.

Decent Cameras – The Poco M3 Pro 5G sports a triple camera set-up at the rear. The primary sensor is a 48 MP unit with an f/1.79 aperture. There is also a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro camera for close-up shots. At the front, it gets an 8 MP selfie camera and the cameras are just decent for the asking price.

Unspecified 5G Bands – Poco M3 Pro is a 5G smartphone but the 5G bands which it supports has not been revealed by the company.

4G Rivals Offer Better Value – The Poco M3 Pro is a future-ready 5G smartphone but at this price point the 4G smartphones offer much better value than the Poco’s device.

PROS

Design and Colours – The new OnePlus Nord CE 5G looks identical to the original Nord and that’s actually a good thing as that was a stunning looking device and the same is the case with the Nord CE 5G too. The new OnePlus Nord CE 5G is available in three stunning colours – Charcoal Ink, Blue Void and Silver Ray.

Compact and Lightweight – The new OnePlus Nord CE 5G is a compact and lightweight smartphone. The smartphone has a sleek premium design with a depth of just 0.8 cm and it weighs around 170 grams.

Powerful Processor – The all-new OnePlus Nord CE 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor that comes coupled with the Adreno 619 GPU. It is a very powerful SoC for mid-range devices.

Good Cameras – The Nord CE 5G has good cameras that perform brilliantly in daylight usage. It features a triple camera set-up at the rear. The primary sensor is a 64 MP unit with EIS which is coupled with an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2 MP macro sensor. At the front, it gets a 16 MP camera for selfies and videos.

Software Experience – The OnePlus Nord CE 5G like all other OnePlus smartphones runs on Oxygen OS. The Nord CE runs the OS on top of Android v11 and it has started getting Oxygen OS 11.0.2.2 update too.

CONS

Only One 5G Band – The OnePlus Nord CE is a 5G smartphone. However, it gets only a single 5G band and so it isn’t clear whether it will run on 5G mobile netowork in India or not due to the available bands.

No Alert Slider – OnePlus has skipped its signature alert slider on the OnePlus Nord CE 5G which is a very useful feature on most OnePlus devices. Instead, the company has given it a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Average Low-light Camera Performance – The recently launched OnePlus Nord CE 5G has good camera performance but only in daylight. In low-light, the camera performance is just average.

Great Display but Protection questionable – The OnePlus Nord CE 5G features a 6.43-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate system and it sports a punch-hole design for the selfie camera. However, the company hasn’t revealed what is the protection used on the display of the smartphone.

Price – The price of the OnePlus Nord CE 5G could have been more competitive by OnePlus in India. It is available in three variants. They are – 6 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage; priced at Rs 22,999.

The 8 GB of RAM with 128 GB of internal storage variant is priced at Rs 24,999 and the top of the line variants gets 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal storage has been priced at Rs 27,999.
