The main highlight of the event is expected to be Samsung’s new foldable phones. The company is rumored to unveil two new models: the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galaxy Z Flip 6. These phones can bend and fold, offering users a unique experience.
Three Foldable Phones
Unlike previous years, Samsung may introduce three foldable phones this time. Alongside the two book-style Galaxy Z Fold models, there will be the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip 6. One of the models, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Ultra’, is expected to have advanced features and a higher price.
Galaxy Ring
Samsung is also set to introduce its new wearable device, the Galaxy Ring, at the event. It’s a small device that tracks fitness activities. Samsung first showcased this device earlier this year at the Mobile World Congress and hinted at it during the launch of the Galaxy S24 series.
Other Devices
Additionally, Samsung might reveal more about its upcoming products, such as the Galaxy Watch 7 series and the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup. Moreover, rumors suggest that Samsung is working on an extended reality (XR) headset, the Samsung Galaxy XR, which could be a competitor to Apple’s Vision Pro mixed reality headset.
Traditionally, Samsung unveils its new Galaxy Z series phones in the US, but this time, they’ve chosen Paris. This move is perhaps to coincide with the Olympics and to draw attention to their latest innovations.
Conclusion
Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event promises to unveil exciting new devices, including foldable phones, wearables, and possibly more surprises.

Smartwatches have majorly replaced conventional wrist watches globally. Consumers are proactively opting for the smart wearables to keep a tab on health while-on-the-go. And the market today has offering not just for adults or teens but kids too. The imoo Watch Phone Z7 is one of such watch which is tech-rich and is a reliable health and safety gadget for your kid. Available at Rs. 14,990, the imoo Watch Phone Z7 smartwatch can be expensive than the readily available smartwatches in the market. But what makes it worth a buy for kid? This review will help you analyze.
imoo Watch Z7 wears a modern sport-style aesthetics which you kids would love to flaunt. It has a durable and sturdy build material which will ensure least damages even with rough outdoor usage. imoo has certainly kept all the necessary design factors in mind while designing this kids smartwatch to offer a long terms usage.
The brand has used aluminum casing for the dial and a good quality silicone-rubber strap. Usage is fairly simple with the integrated power key on the right. Now, what gives the imoo Z7’s design a unique twist is the lifting dial that allows camera usage.
Yes, you read that right. Right above the imoo Z7’s 1.3-inch display is a 2MP front camera which allows video calling. But that’s not the only camera sensor this watch offers. A bigger 5MP snapper is tucked at the rear profile which becomes visible when the dial lifts from the frame. As for the screen, it’s an AMOLED panel which offers adequate response overall but an average visibility when the panel is exposed to harsh sunlight.
You will also see a SIM card tray right beneath the sensor module on the back panel. This is used for two-way phone calls on the imoo Watch Phone Z7. Lifting up the tray could be little tricky but its just a secured fit of the tray to protect it from falling off accidentally.
To make it more sturdy, imoo has got IPX8 certification for the Watch Phone Z7 with which it becomes water resistance (to up to 20m depth). At around 65g of weight and the large dial size, the imoo Watch Phone Z7 might be a but bulky for kids. However, overall wearing comfort isn’t compromised much.
The imoo Watch Phone Z7 draws its power from the Spreadtrum W317 entry-level chipset. The smartwatch features a built-in memory space of 4GB which enables smooth scrolling experience through the watch’s interface. The UI loaded on the Z7 is CaremeOS Lite which offers a clean interface for convenient usage.
Moreover, the Watch Phone Z7 is equipped with a variety of sensors such as GPS, GLONASS, and LBS for tracking and other monitoring. It also has WiFi network support but only 2.4 GHz networks. Pairing it with standard WiFi routers isn’t much of a hassle but those operating on dual band 5GHz might not offer a smooth pairing experience.
The biggest feature highlight of the imoo Watch Phone Z7 is undeniably the two-way calling and two-way video chat option. As mentioned previously, it is equipped with a 2MP front and 5MP rear camera both of which offer a good image/ video quality. The front cam will double up for video calling, while using the rear cam, your kids can show the surroundings or backdrop easily.
This a nifty feature that can have several usage scenarios and be beneficial during any unforeseen emergencies. The compatible smartwatch app will help with camera toggling on the Watch Phone Z7. Besides the voice and video calling, the imoo Watch Phone Z7 also supports messaging. You will need the imoo watch app for texting as well. It is worth noting that this smartwatch currently comes void of any third party app support like WhatsApp.
Hence, the only way to use the two-way voice and video calling is the supported mobile app that you can download from either Google Play Store or Apple’s App Store. Additionally, the Z7 smartwatch offers a range of health measuring features. It is equipped with a PPG heart rate monitor and an air pressure sensor that can keep a track of heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and also body temperature on-the-go.
Since the Watch Phone Z7 is kids specialised smartwatch, bigger battery backup is what the audience expects. With a full charge and standard usage, expect this smartwatch to deliver almost three days of charge. But you can get additional juice out of the 740 mAh integrated battery if the usage of extra features like camera is kept minimum.
In this competitive market, the imoo Z7 brings along standout features which certainly makes it an advanced smart wearable for kids. While it handles the primary health metrics, it elevates the user experience with the extra range of futuristic features such as two-way audio/ video calling and SIM card compatibility. While the price range of Rs. 14,990 is a bit on the higher end of spectrum, the features offered makes up for the higher costs. This watch does make for a good buy if you prioritize your kids health and safety.

Indian retailers may halt OnePlus sales due to profit and warranty issues
Retailer complaints low profits, delayed warranties, and logistics
From May 1, 4,500 stores in six states may stop selling OnePlus
OnePlus is in hot water with offline retailers in India, facing the threat of a sales ban. This situation arises from alleged discounts and deals offered by OnePlus, causing distrust among its distributors. Here’s a breakdown of what’s going on. Pressure From Offline Retailers
Offline retailers in India are pressuring OnePlus due to various issues, including alleged inadequate margins and problems with warranty claims. Retailer bodies like the South Indian Organized Retailers Association (ORA) and the All India Mobile Retailers Association (AIMRA) are leading this charge.
OnePlus Responds
After remaining silent for a while, OnePlus finally spoke on the issue, acknowledging the concerns raised by its retailers. The company assured that it is working to resolve the problems faced by its partners. OnePlus values its relationship with retailers and aims to strengthen it for a prosperous future.
Challenges Faced By Retailers
Retailers complain of low-profit margins, delayed warranty claims, and logistical issues with carrying non-moving products. These issues result in customer dissatisfaction, poor sales, and piled-up inventory for offline retailers.
Awaiting Sales Ban
As tensions escalate, several brick-and-mortar stores across India, including popular chains like Poorvika Mobiles and Sangeetha Mobiles, will stop selling OnePlus products starting May 1, 2024. The decision affects over 4,500 stores in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.
Retailers’ Grievances
The ORA’s complaint to OnePlus highlights several concerns, including:
Low-profit margins for offline stores
Delayed warranty claims
Logistical challenges in meeting model-specific bundling requirements
Despite efforts to resolve these issues, retailers feel they have been left with no choice but to discontinue the sale of OnePlus products.
OnePlus faces a critical juncture in the Indian market. While it has been a significant player in online sales, its relationship with offline retailers needs improvement. The sales ban from large chains like Poorvika Mobiles and Sangeetha Mobiles could have a significant impact on its market presence.
Conclusion
The rift between OnePlus and offline retailers underscores the importance of strong partnerships in the competitive smartphone market. As OnePlus works to address these concerns, the resolution of issues with offline retailers will be crucial for its continued success in India.

OPPO last week added a new mid-range phone to its collection — the OPPO A3 Pro. The mid-range OPPO A series phone marked its entry in the Chinese market featuring an AMOLED screen, 64MP dual cameras, and a performance-oriented Dimensity 7050 chipset. While the OPPO A3 Pro is yet to get official in the Indian market, several contenders makes for an apt buy as a rival. We are listing down the top alternatives that you can consider instead of the OPPO A3 Pro in India:
Realme Narzo 70 Pro
Launch recently in India, the realme Narzo 70 Pro pits itself as the strongest rival to the OPPO A3 Pro in India. It offers the same chipset as the A3 Pro, but has a slightly better camera specs (on-sheet).
Sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen
Panel supports 120Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ screen resolution
Has HDR 10+ display certification

Vivo’s latest series T phone, the T3 5G powered by the Dimenisty 7200 chipset can also be considered as an alternate to the OPPO A3 Pro in India. The starting price range under Rs. 20,000 makes it go easy on the pockets, while its mid-tier hardware handles performance delivery decently.
Equipped with a 6.67-inch display
Is an AMOLED Panel that has an FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate
Dual rear camera module employing a 50MP main sensor along with a 2MP lens for depth mapping
Same 16MP selfie snapper as the OPPO A3 Pro and the Realme Narzo 70 Pro
Integrated MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset takes care of all performance delivery combined with 8GB RAM
5,000 mAh battery with 67W fast charging keeps the processor ticking
OPPO A3 Pro might be a new hot shot in the mid-tier Android segment, but it’s yet be made available in the Indian market. The pros and cons can be weighed as per your requirements with the reviews we have linked here and also the budget.
Apple looks to India for iPhone camera parts, possibly moving away from China
Murugappa Group gains edge as potential supplier for Apple
Apple aims for local production of iPhone camera modules in India to improve operations
Apple is in talks with Indian companies Murugappa Group and Titan to make parts for iPhone camera modules. This could change where Apple makes some of its products, moving some operations from China to India, according to The Economic Times. Finding Indian Suppliers
By teaming up with Titan or Murugappa Group, Apple hopes to find suppliers for important parts of its smartphone cameras. The deal might be finished within five to six months, sources told the news outlet.
Murugappa Group’s Advantage
The Murugappa Group, especially with its recent purchase of Moshine Electronics, has a leg up. A source mentioned in the report suggests that in the future, Murugappa Group might even be able to make the image sensors for Apple.
Choosing Between Titan and Murugappa Group
Titan, a company under the Tata Group, specializes in making precise parts for watches and jewelry. However, compared to the Murugappa Group, which works in many sectors including auto parts and abrasives, Titan might come in second. Apple seems to favor Murugappa Group because of its recent acquisition of Moshine Electronics, a camera module maker based in Noida.
Apple aims to make more parts of its iPhones in India. By focusing on making camera modules locally, Apple hopes to improve its supply chain in India. This move could also solve some of the challenges Apple faces in its Indian operations.
