Oppo has been frequent with new A-series smartphones in the Indian market. The brand recently expanded this budget portfolio with the launch of the Oppo A96 and the Oppo A76 and has now added yet another model called the Oppo A16e. This new Oppo A series phone comes as an entry-level device as tipped by the leaks. Amongst its key highlights are a MediaTek Helio P series chipset, an AI single rear camera, and more.

Oppo A16e Specifications In India Features

The Oppo A16e is driven by the Helio P22 processor. The octa-core MediaTek chipset is built on a 12nm FinFet processor and is supported by IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU support. The entry-level Helio P series processor is further combined with 3GB/4GB RAM for multitasking and a 32GB/64GB storage option. The handset features a dedicated microSD card for additional storage and is pre-loaded with Android 11 OS topped with ColorOS 11.1 interface.

Upfront, the Oppo A16e uses an IPS LCD panel that measures 6.52-inches. The display comes with a standard screen resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and has a screen-to-body ratio of 89.27 percent. The panel also supports 269PPI pixel density and has a screen refresh rate of 60Hz. Protecting the panel is a Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Oppo A16e’s imaging setup is basic. The rear camera setup has a 13MP AI camera. Only a single camera is packed at the back. The front panel features a 5MP camera for selfies which has an f/2.2 aperture. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, single-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. It also has a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired headphones connectivity.

Oppo has skipped using a physical fingerprint scanner for security and instead has packed standard connectivity options including Face Unlock, Pin, and Password protection. Battery capacity packed is a smaller 4,230 mAh unit which is aided by 10W charging.

The Oppo A16e is amongst the cheapest Android phones with an asking price of Rs. 9,990. It’s the cost of the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model. As per the report, the Oppo A16e will be a low-end phone powered by the Helio P22 chipset. The octa-core MediaTek chipset will have IMG PowerVR GE 8320 GPU support which will be further combined with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration.

The handset will also have additional microSD card support. However, the exact expandable storage capacity isn’t tipped by this leak. The budget Oppo A16e is rumored to flaunt a 6.52-inch display panel which will be a standard LCD that will support 720p HD+ screen resolution. To recap, a recent report suggested OnePlus is planning to launch the OnePlus 10 Pro in India either on March 22 or March 24. The rumor mill has shared details related to a bunch of upcoming Realme handsets including a new mystery phone likely from the V series. The alleged Realme V series phone has been spotted at the Chinese mobile regulatory TENAA that hints all its key features.

The mystery Realme handset which is rumored to be a Realme V series phone bears the RMX3571 model number. According to the TENAA database, the mystery Realme phone will be powered by an octa-core chipset that will offer a clock speed of 2.4GHz. The name of the chipset is not mentioned in the certification portal. It is also not revealed if it will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon or MediaTek Dimensity/ Helio series chipset powering the handset.

While the TENAA certification listing doesn’t mention the name of the processor, it does reveal three different RAM and storage options. The Realme RMX3571 will be launched with 6GB, 8GB, and 12GB RAM options. The storage option listed is 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. The firmware version listed is Android 12 OS which will be layered with Realme UI 3.0 interface.

Besides the processor and configuration, the TENAA listing has also given insight into the battery, camera, and display specifications. The Realme RMX3571 is listed with a 6.5-inch display on TENAA. The panel type and refresh rate are unspecified, but an FHD+ screen resolution is confirmed. The imaging setup tipped is basic.

The Realme RMX3571 TENAA listing suggests a dual camera module at the back with a 48MP main sensor. The primary lens will be combined with a 2MP sensor for depth mapping. For selfies and video calls, the handset features an 8MP sensor as per the certification website.
