Snapdragon 780G: The economic SoC champion

On 25th March, 2021, the world of mid-budget smartphones saw the unveiling of a new SoC (System on Chip). Qualcomm started this year with a new processor in its 7-series named the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G.

Let us dive in and see what are the new boundaries that Qualcomm challenges with this innovation of its.

Architecture

The Snapdragon 780G is built on a 5nm platform and it’s the first 7-series processor to use that architecture. The latest architecture also makes 780G the most advanced processor from Qualcomm’s side after their flagship 8-series. The mid-range smartphone section is the area of interest for the 780G and will soon be available in phones from the 2nd quarter in 2021.

Built on the same platform as the top-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the latest Snapdragon 780G is an octa-core processor with two high-performance A78 Cortex cores with top speeds of 2.4 GHz and six A55 Cortex cores with top speeds of 1.8 GHz for less intensive tasks. Also, the SoC will likely be constructed by Samsung Foundry.

The 5nm platform is not the only first-time addition to the 780G which also boasts a triple Image Sensing Processor. The Snapdragon 780G promises you phenomenal photo quality with its Qualcomm Spectra 570 triple ISP (Image Sensor Processor). In layman’s terms, the 780G will be able to click photos with three lenses simultaneously, imagine clicking a photo with the zoom, wide and ultra-wide lenses at the same. Thus, 780G will give you crisp clear photos along with HDR 10+ and 4K video capabilities, improved low-light photography, and more…

AI & Gaming

The enhancement of the moments you capture, noise-suppression, and intelligent decisions will all be handled by the 6th Generation Qualcomm AI Engine and the Qualcomm Hexagon 770 processor for AI operations can deliver up to 12 Terra operations per second (TOPs) so you are not going to have any less-than-perfect decisions made for you. A hidden secret, this Hexagon 770 works twice as fast as its predecessor.

Gaming, the only industry that will be super hyped with the 780G so much that they may feel they aren’t in the real world anymore. The Snapdragon 780G comes equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features that will help you achieve your gaming ambitions. The SoC comes with an Adreno 642 GPU and updateable graphic drives. The Snapdragon 780G envisions bringing all the top AAA games to the fans with ultra-smooth gaming and true 10-bit HDR gaming. Equipped with a plethora of features this SoC brings desktop-level capabilities right to your fingertips.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity and audio, the 780G is not behind any competitor. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G borrows the recently debuted Qualcomm Snapdragon Sound Technology and an optimized Snapdragon X53 5g Modern-RF System from the 888. This adds another unique feature in the 7-series. The peak download speeds are up to 3.3 Gbps on sub-6 GHz frequencies. This means that the system brings you the premium Wifi 6 and Bluetooth audio. These are features you would find on a high-end Snapdragon 888.

Also, in the legion of connectivity for the 780G is the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 Connectivity System that allows unmatched multi-gigabyte class Wifi 6 speeds up to 3.6 Gbps, super-low latency, and robust capacity. Add to this the 780G’s Wifi 6E technology that allows it to upgrade these advanced features to the powerful 6 GHz spectrum that is slowly gaining a foothold in today’s world.

All in all, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G brings you the most premium of features to the mid-range phone market. This SoC will make its mark once it hits the market with its wide array of supreme features.

Initially, Mi 11 was not released in India, but the company has confirmed Xiaomi Mi 11 series launch in India.

Xiaomi India officially announced the news by tweeting on Twitter right after the launch of Series 9 of OnePlus.

The best part about this device is that they are coming with various models. As of now, they only launched Xiaomi Mi 11 in the market. When Indian people be able to buy it?

As Xiaomi just announced about Mi 11, we can expect at least a week to be launched in the market. Moreover, Xiaomi also said that Indian would be able to get the Mi 11 from the first week of April.

Xiaomi Mi 11

It is the first model of the Mi 11 series with a powerful Snapdragon processor with chipset 888. It has a broader screen of 6.81 inch Quad HD and an OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. OnePlus 9R: Another Budget-Friendly Flagship?

On the 23rd of March, we were expecting to get a closer look at the OnePlus 9R at the OnePlus 9 launch event. However, the delay has kept us waiting.

Source: Oneplus

As OnePlus already has a series of budget smartphones in the Nord, we expect the upcoming OnePlus 9R to sit between the Nord and the OnePlus 9 series — in terms of specifications as well as the price.

In one of the recent interviews, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau confirmed that they would release the OnePlus 9R and an India-exclusive device, aiming to reach one more price point with this model for its customers. Surprisingly, this was the first official mention of the affordable flagship, and the company hasn’t revealed much information.

In one of the news 8 interviews, Lau said that it would be a smooth scrolling, immersive gaming controls, and a superior viewing experience to bring out a flagship-like experience.

Release Date & Price

Although OnePlus confirmed 9R exists, it wasn’t released with the rest of the OnePlus 9 series.

Most of the OnePlus flagship phones are priced over Rs 40,000 and the budget-friendly range is priced below Rs 30,000. The OnePlus 9R might be priced between Rs 35,000 to 40,000. The company has not had a lot of devices in this range in recent years as it has shifted its focus to bring about more premium offerings.

The actual bit of information is that the OnePlus 9R will be cheaper compared to the OnePlus 9 series.

As for the release date, it looks like the OnePlus 9R will be an India-exclusive device as they haven’t mentioned it being globally available, but even then we wouldn’t know when it will be announced or released.

Oneplus 9R Specs & Features

  • 5G device
  • Chipset: As it is a flagship model it could be one of these- the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, the Snapdragon 870 or last year’s Snapdragon 865.
  • Could be a gaming phone

According to a teaser on Amazon, the OnePlus 9R will contain physical shoulder triggers, which not only tells that it could be a gaming phone but also suggests that the company will launch accessories at some point related to gaming.

  • 120 Hz 6.55-inch AMOLED display
  • Bigger battery
  • Fast charging
  • Camera

Awaited to see if it gets a Hasselblad camera upgrade like the other models in the series.

What’s In It For Us?

A Larger Battery

The confirmation has arrived. The One Plus models are ready to sport a powerful battery power of 4500 mAh. Since the OnePlus 9R will be a gaming phone we hope for a longer battery life

65W Fast Charging

The new OnePlus devices are amongst the faster-charging smartphones available in the market. It takes just about 30-40 minutes for a full charge. We would like to see 65W charging on this device as well as it would play a major role in increasing the charging game.

Capable Cameras

With the OnePlus 9 devices, the OnePlus has teamed up with Hasselblad to improve the camera experience. With the 9R being a gaming device, usually, the camera quality wouldn’t be the first priority. We would, however, like to see a Hasselblad collaboration with this device as well.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite 4G Could Be The Slimmest And Lightest Phone Of The Season

Xiaomi is about to host a Spring conference on March 29 in China. The company is also expected to host a global event to launch new products. We are expecting Xiaomi’s flagship device, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra to make an appearance along with the Mi 11 Lite, which is likely to be launched. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is expected to be seen in two variants – 4G and 5G. The complete spec sheet, images and pricing were leaked ahead of the launch by tipster Sudhanshu.

Specifications Of Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite

According to the leaked information, this model will be the slimmest phone of this season. The Mi 11 Lite is said to be of only 6mm thickness which is steps ahead in the competition as most phones these days come with 7.5 mm to 10mm thickness.

This device is also said to be ultra-light as it weighs only 150 grams, again undercutting the competition by a big margin. But, because the phone is so slim, it misses out on the headphone jack, which could come as a disappointment to some.

Display

When it comes to the display, the Mi 11 Lite has a 6.55-inch Full HD + AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz offering a hassle-free and lag-free experience. The device is to be operated with a Snapdragon 732G chipset, which is also used in the Poco X3 and the Redmi Note 10 Pro in India.

RAM+Storage

The Mi 11 Lite 4G is said to be available in two configurations: 6 GB RAM  + 64 GB Internal and 6 GB RAM + 128 GB Internal.

Colours

It will also be released in three colour variants – blue, black and pink.

Camera

The Mi 11 Lite is said to have a triple camera system consisting of a rear camera with a 64-megapixel primary lens, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel tele-macro shooter that’ll make sure you have the crispiest of clicks and the brightest of colours.

There hasn’t been any information on the selfie camera as of now. That’s one thing you’ll have to wait on. The handset runs on MIUI 12 based on Android 11 and offers a lot of personal customisations, a trademark of the MIUI.

Battery

The phone comes with a 4,250mAh battery, which is acceptable but a little underwhelming. It also comes with a 33W fast charger in the box and combined with the battery.

Other mentioned specifications are Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and a microSD card slot to offer better connectivity and extra storage when required.

Chipset

The 5G variant of the Mi 11 Lite comes with either a Snapdragon 765G or a 775G SoC. Both of these have a tremendous clock speed of up to 2.4 GHz. Paired with an Adreno 618 GPU, the Mi 11 Lite promises a commendable performance at its price tag.

That’s all for today. All in all, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is a great catch for its price and sports a bomb spec ration with a dazzling interface. We hope you liked this article and will come back for more. Till then, stay tuned to our website for more such informational content.

Realme GT Neo: The Gaming Beast

The announcement of the Realme GT already had customers amped up with the promise of a next-generation gaming phone. However, the announcement of Realme GT Neo is probably the icing on the top. With a new IMEI number being spotted in the Indian IMEI database, it is just a matter of time before Realme announces the Realme GT Neo for release in India.

Why The Excitement?

Realme’s recent announcement featured the launch of the first flagship Realme GT. The Realme GT Neo will be the second flagship phone and promises a top-end set of equipment.

Though many rumours are surrounding Realme GT Neo there is one thing we know for sure, that is, this phone will combine the best gaming experience with the best camera quality. Realme had announced that will primarily focus on camera quality so it is obvious that the Realme GT Neo will come with a cutting-edge camera setup.

Realme GT Neo Power & Looks

It is rumoured to come with a triple camera setup and not much is known about the sensors though it may probably use the latest sensors choosing between the Samsung 108 MP ISOCELL HM3 or the Sony IMX686

Much like the camera setup, the looks on the Realme GT Neo are mysterious too and maybe similar to its sibling the Realme GT but we still have a few features that seem logically correct. The Realme GT Neo will be Realme’s first phone with curved edges.

It is expected to come with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with a punch-hole cutout on the top left corner for a selfie snapper and a 120 Hz refresh to provide a lag-free experience. The Realme GT Neo is well set to become one of Realme’s most elegant phones.

GT NEO Specification

The Realme GT Neo will have a processor that will blow you away. The talk of the town is the processor that the Realme GT Neo will pack under its hood.

Freshly out of the production houses, MediaTek’s latest innovation, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor an octa-core processor with a top speed of 3 GHz, this processor will offer you the smoothest experience you can find.

The Realme GT Neo will be one of the first phones to use this processor and this is arguably the best feature in the Realme GT Neo.

What More Does It Offer?

The Realme GT Neo comes in two variants probably with 6 GB RAM or 8 GB RAM. The Realme UI 2.0 built on top of Android 11 will power it. The only letdown in the Realme GT Neo is a smaller 4400 mAh battery that many would have expected to be a little heavier. The phone will support fast charging. However, it hasn’t been confirmed whether it will be 30W fast charging or 65W fast charging.

With many rumours surrounding the Realme GT Neo and also the possibility that the new mysterious IMEI added to the Indian IMEI database may not at all be the Realme GT Neo, the only relief is the pain-staking wait won’t last for long and soon we might have the Realme GT Neo up for grabs at our fingertips.

Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon: Light As A Feather

The days of heavy laptops are over. Today’s customer wants a laptop built like a tank but light as a pencil box. Lenovo looks like it’s doing just what every customer wants it to do. With the new premium flagship product, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon, Lenovo promises to offer the best-in-class performance.

However with a weight that will make you forget the laptop is even there. Like the other laptops in the Yoga segment of Lenovo, the Slim 7i Carbon is very lightweight, weighing in at just under 1 KG. However, the light weight doesn’t comprise the performance the Slim 7i offers.

Let’s Talk About the Design and Looks

With a stylish-looking smooth Moon White façade, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is made with Aerospace-grade aluminium and has a MIL standard certification to boast about its durability.

As with the durability, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with a nine MIL-STD-810G military-grade standard that assures you that your device can withstand dust and extreme temperatures. Also, with that certification, you can trust the fact that your Yoga Slim 7i will see the daylight even after a drop test.

Lenovo offers you a 13.3-inch QHD+ IPS display with 2560 x 1440-pixel resolution. The laptop comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio with 91% screen to body ratio, 100% sRGB coverage, 300 nits of brightness, and a Dolby Vision certification that is the cherry on the top. The keyboard is a chiclet backlight one with stain resistance so you will be able to work be it day or night.

Some Behind The Scenes For Our Readers

The latest and most powerful processor of Intel’s, the Intel i7 11th Generation powers the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i. This guarantees you that your Yoga Slim 7i will never be left behind when it comes to CPU-intensive work.

But you may not believe that, so Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon goes a step ahead and boasts of an Intel-Evo certification that cements the fact that the Slim 7i has undergone rigorous real-world scenarios and has proven its mettle when it comes to performance.

The Intel i7 11 Gen is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 1 TB of M.2 PCle SSD that is unfortunately not upgradable. That’s right, for those who want a laptop they can build upon, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is not the ideal choice. But for regular users, 16 GB of high-speed RAM and 1 TB of fast-paced Solid-State Drive is a suitable configuration they can hold on to for as long as they want.

The graphics are handled by an Integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. This may be a little underwhelming considering that competitors in that range offer a dedicated graphics card but given the lightweight and the lightning-fast processor, graphics won’t be an issue.

Battery And Connectivity

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon comes with a 50 Whr battery that will give you an approx. 15 hours of video playback and 13 hours of productive work. As with all electronics, battery life varies based on the usage of the device. You also get a quick charge that gives an approx. 2 hours of video playback for 15 minutes of charging.

In terms of connectivity, you get a Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, an IR camera, mic and headphone combo, a USB Type-C port, and two thunderbolt ports. The USB Type-C offers charging capabilities and also supports an external display with a 120 Hz refresh rate.

An Intelligent thermal cooling system and high-efficiency thermal fans with Q control cool the laptop’s processor.

The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon costs Rs 1,19,990. It offers you featherweight portability and military-grade durability with a decent battery back up. To top it all, it has a stunning moon white exterior.

Realme Narzo 30 Pro: The Wait Is Finally Over

Affordable 5G phones are becoming all the craze of this season, Realme also wants a piece of the cake but does this small increment of an upgrade over the Realme Narzo 20 Pro worth your hard-earned money.

Multiple devices already have 5G connectivity but this upcoming device is by far the cheapest device on the 5G list. If we look into the features of this device, you might be slightly surprised by the design and performance choices that the brand has made to make it the cheapest 5G phone.

What’s in the box?

The folks at Realme have been kind enough to include the necessities that you would expect from an unboxing. A clear bumper case and, lo and behold, a 30W charger with a cable. It is a type-c cable as you would expect from a smartphone in 2021, anything else would just be bothersome and obsolete.

At a glance, the back finish of the phone looks like its glass but has a matte plastic finish. It is not a cheap-feeling material per se but it is what you would expect from a smartphone in this price range(more on that later). The buttons are well placed and fit perfectly in the reach of your fingers.

The buttons themselves are tactile enough and the power button doubles as a fingerprint sensor, the sensor is quick enough and just requires a tap to unlock the phone.

Display & Multimedia

It’s not a fancy AMOLED but you do get an FHD IPS LCD panel with an incredibly high refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz. With a 90% screen-to-body ratio it is not raising the stakes for anyone but at least it is trying to mirror the flagships.

The screen is fairly bright clocking in around 600 nits but it has okayish viewing angles, so media consumption in the sun is a decent experience. Speaking of media consumption, the audio produced by the single down-firing speaker gets adequately loud because of Dolby Atmos’ integration. All in all, the 6.5-inch screen paired with the speaker provides a decent multimedia experience.

Performance

The specifications on this device are a very good bargain, such parts are generally seen in devices that are priced higher compared to the Narzo 30 Pro. It has UFS 2.1 storage and the latest LPPDR4X RAM.

The chipset is a MediaTek Dimensity 800U based on the much    improved 7nm process. For this price range, the performance this chipset provides is worth every penny. There are no jitters or lag during everyday use but the chipset performs the best under gaming load.

Graphic intensive games run smoothly on medium to high settings at acceptable framerates without lagging or other hiccups.

Connectivity & Performance

The main feature of this phone is its 5 G connectivity but that feature gets sidelined due to a lack of 5G towers in our country. Both the sim card slots support 5G standby and also support dual 4G VoLTE standby. A dedicated SD card slot would have been nice to see since the base model of this phone only has 64GB of storage. Bluetooth 5.1 and Dual-Band Wi-Fi are available so that you can connect at much faster speeds than before.

Battery

This phone has a battery capacity of 5000 mAh. This doesn’t seem like a considerable increase compared to the last gen’s4500mAh. We would have preferred if the brand would have lowered the battery capacity instead of lowering the charging speed. The phone charges up to 50% in 25 minutes. There is also support for 15W charging if you are using a power bank.

 Camera & Video

Realme has decided to go with a more practical approach with this iteration of the Narzo Pro series. There are only three cameras as compared to the four cameras that the last-gen came with. These three being the main 48 MP sensor, the 8MP ultrawide sensor, and a frustrating 2MP macrosensor.

The front selfie camera is a 16MP sensor with the usual AI gimmicks incorporated into the built-in camera app. T In normal conditions, the images may still seem a bit washed out at times. There is support for 4K 30fps video recording and slow-motion video recording at 240fps.

Poco X3 Pro To Be Unveiled In An Online Event

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco’s X-series will be launching Poco X3 Pro globally on March 22, 2021. It will set foot in the Indian market on March 30, 2021.

The company has officially declared that the unveiling will take place in an online event scheduled for 20:00 GMT+8 (5:30 pm IST) on March 22. The Poco X3 was launched globally in September last year. The Pro version, however, is going to come to India in March itself.

Here’s All We Know!

Poco came out as an offshoot of Xiaomi back in 2018 with its first smartphone Poco F1. It was separated from the parent brand last year before its second phone came out.

Speculations are already in the air which suggests that the new phone could be very similar to Poco X3, or even Redmi K40. Apparently, a Vietnamese e-retailer recently listed the X3 Pro’s renders on its website by mistake.

As per the leaked details, the phone would have a 6.67-inch Full HD+ display. A distinct rumour is about its better screen protection. The smartphone is expected to have Gorilla Glass 6 protection which is tougher and more durable than the last-gen Gorilla Glass 5 screen protection.

The phone was apparently listed to be 9.4 mm thick and 215 mm in weight and to be running on Android 11 out-of-the-box. It will most probably be available in three colours— Frost Blue, Metal Bronze, and Phantom Black.

The camera gear is a circular rear quad-camera setup with a 64 megapixel (MP) primary sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, and two 2 MP sensors. It may also have a 20 MP front camera sensor.

Performance

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 SoC powers the phone. This was an unannounced specification that may debut alongside the phone. The previous X3 ran on Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G.

Two variants with 6 GB+ 128 GB and 8GB + 256GB UFS 3.1 storage are expected. It may also have microSD card support for storage expansion of up to 1TB. Additionally, it may have a 5,200mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The Indian version might come with an even bigger 6000mAh battery.

For better connectivity and accessibility the phone appears to have GPS/ A-GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and a headphone jack. The leaked info also suggests a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Poco is counting on the better overall performance of its new smartphone as the USP against its cost. While comparing the Poco X3 Pro with the previous version, it seems to have a higher AnTuTu benchmark score of around 500k.

The 6GB+128GB variant might cost roughly between Rs.21,700-Rs.23,300 ($300-$322). Past leaks and assumptions suggest that the high-end variant might cost somewhere near Rs.28,000.Recent information puts the pricing of the 8GB+256GB variant at around Rs.25,200 ($348).

All in all the Poco X3 Pro remains speculation until 5:30 pm IST, March 22, 2021. Its brand-new processor, lightweight, OS, and camera performance are things to look forward to and analyze how much justice the product does to the pricing.

OnePlus Watch Likely To Be Affordable Fitness Tracker

OnePlus is again here with a confirmed launch of its OnePlus watch along with the most awaited OnePlus 9 series. The brand was given a hint from the last few years, but recently, they made a final confirmation about its release in a virtual event.

Finally, on 23rd March, the OnePlus Watch will share its market stage with the OnePlus 9 series. However, in its teaser, the band didn’t show any of its specifications. Conversely, the brand explains its intentions as to why they add a wearable to its mobile range. OnePlus experts stated that they want to “create a burdenless experience.”

Want Does Creators Want To Say?

OnePlus at the starting of its launch event of its first-ever Smart launch, states that it is offering “Seamless Connectivity” for the entire range of Bluetooth devices and OnePlus Smartphones. Even this affordable fitness tracker will also work with OnePlus TV models currently available in India and China.

All of us are aware that the markets already have a wide range of the best smartwatches offering seamless connectivity with every smartphone. But now, OnePlus users will have specific for their handsets too.

In addition to this, OnePlus, on its official page, leaves a message for its users by saying that their ecosystem wants to offer the best-in-class and fashionable experience to their users. Even the most awaited OnePlus Watch will be no exception like its other products.

On their Official Page, OnePlus showcase its features in a summarized way:

  • Burdenless and Stunning Design
  • Seamless connectivity offering intuitive and simple smart control over audio peripherals, OnePlus smartphones, and other smart devices.
  • Signature connecting and best-in-class user experience at a reasonable price.

What We Know About “OnePlus Watch”?

One renowned Leakster, Ishan Agrawal, spilt out some of its specs and features on his Twitter handle. As per the post of Agrawal, this wearable smartwatch will have a round face appearance with a dial of 46mm.

OnePlus Watch will be available in two colour variants, i.e. Black and Silver. The watch body will be IP68 certified, ensuring dust-free and water resistance features.

Fasting Charging

Obviously, you will get a warp charger too for fast charging. Interestingly with 20 minutes of full charging, the user will be able to use the watch for a week.

What appears to be an oversight is the absence of any of the facts about the operating processor of the OnePlus smartwatch. However, if they claim that battery life is more than 7 days, it will be a bit impossible to be powered on OS. As the OS usually watches, best lasts for a day or two.

Promising Specifications

Furthermore, as per the mentioned leaks, “Fitness” will be a focused point for selling the OnePlus watch. At the same time, this smartwatch offers a long list of features, including stress alerts, continuous monitoring of heart rate, SpO2 sensing, automatic detection of workout, sleep tracking, and information about all other exercises.

Connectivity Features

The Smartwatch with impressive connected features will enable a user to initiate and pick calls, track notifications, music control, etc. Also, it empowers control of other OnePlus devices in the ecosystem.
