Xiaomi has introduced its new range of products in China including the flagship Pad 6 Max tablet, Mi Mix fold 3, and Redmi K60 smartphone lineup. Alongside, Xiaomi’s sub brand Redmi also introduced its new-generation Android tablet. Called the Redmi Pad SE, the latest tablet has arrived instead of the Redmi Pad 2 which was in the rumors for a while. Here’s everything you need to know:

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad SE in the European markets with mid-tier spec sheet. This model is packed with an 11-inch display which is an LCD panel similar to the first-gen Redmi Pad model. The screen supports a 2K resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels. Additionally, the panel offers a refresh rate of 90Hz and has a peak brightness of 400 nits. The Redmi Pad SE’s display is TUV Rheinland certified that helps the screen to cut down on Blue light emissions.

In terms of camera hardware, the Redmi Pad SE employs a single 8MP camera sensor at the rear panel. The rear camera of the new Redmi tablet is capable of recording 1080p videos @30 fps. The selfies and video calling requirements are taken care of by a single 5MP camera up front. For the audio delivery, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE has a quad-speaker module combined with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio technologies.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE tablet utilizes the mid-range octa-core Snapdragon 680 chipset for performance delivery. This Qualcomm chipset is fabricated using a 6nm processor and is clubbed with 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM options for multitasking requirements. Unlike the multiple storage options, the Redmi Pad SE has a single 128GB onboard storage space. It also features an microSD card slot for storage expansion.

The Redmi Pad SE will be shipping with Android 13 OS which will be layered with an MIUI 14 Pad interface on top. This UI will allow the tablet to double up as laptop for convenience with various tasks. In terms of connectivity, the new Redmi Pad tablet will offer standard Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS networks. It will also feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port. The Redmi Pad SE will be drawing its power from an 8,000 mAh battery pack which will support a standard 10W charging.

Redmi Pad SE Price, Official India Launch Timeline

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad SE starting at €199 (approx. Rs. 18,000 ) for the 4GB RAM model. This tablet with 6GB RAM is priced at €229 (approx Rs. 20,500), while the top model is launched at €249 (approx. Rs. 22,700). The color options available for this notebook includes Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green shades. Xiaomi is yet to announce the Redmi Pad SE’s official launch date for India but the developments could soon emerge.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max flaunts an identical design language as the remaining Pad 6 siblings. It has a premium and rugged metallic body frame that packs over 60 percent large screen compared to the remaining variants. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max’s LCD panel measures 14-inches in size and supports a 2.8K screen resolution. The display panel has 120Hz refresh rate as the remaining variants.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max with 12GB RAM+ 512GB storage will cost CNY 4,399 (approx. Rs. 50,672) and the most powerful variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage is launched at CNY 4,799 (approx. Rs. 55,200). The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet is currently available in China in Black and Solver shades and is yet to make its debut in the global markets.

Now, the OEM has also revealed the optics and RAM/ storage variants of the tablet. The Vivo Pad Air tablet is packed with an 11.5-inch display. The panel used is same as the Vivo Pad 2, i.e., and LCD that supports a high refresh rate of 144Hz. The

Vivo Pad Air tablet’s display further comes with a resolution of 2.8K and supports 10-bit and P3 color gamut. The camera features are decent. The Vivo Pad Air has an 8MP main camera packed the rear panel for primary photography, while for selfies it relies on a standard 5MP sensor.

At its core, the Vivo Pad Air uses the premium Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 octa-core chipset as its brain of operations. This tablet will be available with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage space. Vivo has loaded its new tablet with the latest Android 13 OS which is further topped with the OriginOS 3.0 user interface designed specifically for tablets.

The Vivo Pad Air offers Wi-Fi (up to 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS connectivity features. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfers. Vivo has launched the Pad Air tablet in multiple configurations where the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at CNY 1,799 (approx. Rs. 20,000). The Vivo Pad Air tablet with 8GB RAM+256GB storage and 8GB RAM+ 512GB storage have been launched at CNY 1,999 (approx. Rs. 23.000) and CNY 2,299 (Rs. 26,000 approx.) respectively, while the top-most model with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 2,599 (Rs. 29,732). Vivo will be selling the Pad Air tablet in China starting August 18 in China but has confirmed its availability in the global markets.

Reliance is apparently working on two new Jio phone models that will debut soon in India. The company recently announced its 46th Annual General Meeting that is scheduled for August 28 in the country. There have been rumors that Reliance could launch new Jio phone models at the AGM 2023 event alongside Jio Financial services. A recent BIS listing certainly backs the rumors and confirms upcoming Jio Phone launch in India. Here are the details:

New Jio Phone Models Certified In India

Reliance is expected to make multiple product announcements at the AGM 2023 event. We already have come across several reports hinting at the upcoming JioPhone 5G model’s launch in India. However, Reliance might be working on more Jio phone models which could debut alongside the JioPhone 5G at the AGM 2023 event. The BIS (Bureau Of Indian Standards) has two Jio phone models listed on its portal which suggests an imminent launch in the country.

Tipster Mukul Sharma has been the first to spot the BIS listing of upcoming Jio Phone models. The certification listing was shared on Twitter which confirms the model numbers. One of the variants has the JB161W1 model number, while the other Jio Phone cleared its certification with the JBV162W1 model number.

Unfortunately, there is no clarification as of now if these two model number belongs to different configuration variants of the JioPhone 5G or some other models altogether. Another crucial information revealed by the BIS certification listing is the Make in India manufacturing of the new Jio Phone. The listing reveals the new Jio Phone models are being manufactured in Noida.

That said, we can expect Reliance to launch the new Jio Phone models at the AGM 2023 event which will be hosted later this month. Several leaks have detailed the design and key features of the Jio Phone 5G model. Likewise, if Reliance has additional models in store for the Indian audience, we would surely get some information in the coming days.

As mentioned above, Xiaomi has officially teased the features of the third Pad 6 series tablet. Starting with the screen, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max will have a larger display panel compared to the Xiaomi pad 6 Pro. With this model, Xiaomi is taking a step ahead in the tablet market and bringing in a 14-inch model for the first time. Just for reference, the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro variant features an 11-inch LCD panel which is approximately 60 percent smaller compared to the Pad 6 Max.

The official teaser doesn’t has only revealed the display size. But going by the leaks, we assume it could offer a 144Hz refresh rate and a screen resolution of over 2K. It seems that the display panel on the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet is one of the primary upgrades when compared to the existing models in the Pad 6 series.

The second feature confirmed by Xiaomi for the Pad 6 Max tablet model is the chipset. This variant too will be equipped with the octa-core MediaTek Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset under the hood. The teaser doesn’t confirm the RAM and storage configuration but we could see up to 12GB RAM and 256Gb storage models. Nevertheless, the firmware version would be identical as the other models, i.e., Android 13 OS-based MIUI skin.

Next up is the audio system, which as per Xiaomi will be an eight-speaker module for premium audio delivery. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Max tablet will be packed with a 10,000 mAh battery pack which will get 67W fast charging support as the remaining models. On Weibo, Xiaomi treated enthusiasts to a first look at the Mix Fold 3 through renders showcasing both its folded and unfolded states. Under the hood, the Vivo Pad Air has a premium Qualcomm chipset taking care of the performance delivery. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 870 processor which has been used by multiple flagship Android phones till date. The firmware loaded inside the Vivo Pad Air tablet is Android 13 OS layered with a custom UI on top.

To handle all the graphics requirements, this SoC has an Adreno 650 GPU support. At this point, the RAM and storage configuration details are kept under the wraps. But we can assume this tablet could arrive with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage space. The camera features are also under the wraps which Vivo could reveal in the coming weeks.
