The JioPhone Next is developed by Reliance Jio and the tech giant Google. Reliance Jio and Google also announced that both companies made considerable progress to launch the smartphone.

“Both companies have begun testing JioPhone Next with a limited set of users for further refinement and are actively working to make it available more widely in time for the Diwali festive season. This additional time will also help mitigate the current industry-wide, global semiconductor shortages,” Jio and Google said.

“Jio is targeting the Rs. 4000 price point for JioPhone Next, and we believe that rising component prices could make this challenging and potentially raise the subsidy element,” said IIFL Securities.

Airtel Cashback Offer

To counter, the upcoming JioPhone Next, India’s second-largest telecom operator Airtel has recently launched a cashback offer. Under this offer, smartphone buyers can avail discounts up to Rs. 6,000. The offer is known as Mera Phela Smartphone and more than 150 brands are listed on the same.
