Samsung Might Increase Galaxy S22 Series Pricing: Here’s Why

Samsung is likely to launch its premium flagship S22 series, the Galaxy S22+, Galaxy S22, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Now, a new report claims that the company might increase the price of the entire lineup due to the shortage of chipsets.

In fact, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy S22 might start with a price of $899 that is $100 more than its predecessor, reports GizmoChina. The report claims that the price of the components has raised by 30 to 40 percent, whereas the price of power management and sensor chips has been raised by 10 to 15 percent.

The report also said that Samsung is expected to bring 14 million units of the Galaxy S22 smartphone. Similarly, Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus and the Galaxy S22 Ultra are likely to achieve 8 million and 11 million marks.

Additionally, the report claims the Indian variant of the upcoming Galaxy S22 might come with a Snapdragon processor for the first time.

Samsung Galaxy S22+ Smartphone: Expected Details

The Galaxy S22+ will have Exynos 2022 processor in India, while the US variant will carry Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The device might have a 4,500 mAh battery along with 45W fast charging. It has a 6.55-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display and a peak brightness of 1,750 nits.

On the optics front, the device will carry a 50MP primary camera, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and 12MP telephoto camera along with 2x optical zoom. The device might carry a 32MP front camera and will run Android 12 OS out of the box.

According to the previous leak, the device will have a flat-screen, hole-punch cutout, and triple-camera setup. The volume and power keys are likely to be at on the right side. In addition, the leaks suggested that LED flash might be placed outside the camera module.

Samsung Galaxy S22 Plus Smartphone: Expected Colour

The Samsung Galaxy S22+ will be available in four colour options: green, black, white, and Pink Gold, reports MySmartPrice. Furthermore, the company is likely to launch new series on February 8th, 2022.
