OnePlus 40Y1 has a great bezel-less design and it weighs 5.1 kg. You get the stand base in the box to place the TV on a table. In case you want to wall mount the TV, you will have to purchase that separately. It has 2 HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and an Ethernet port on it which are justified for this price point.  The 20W speakers will provide Dolby Audio output which will be of average quality. But if you want great quality sound then you will need to purchase a soundbar separately.

The OnePlus 40Y1 is a TV with Full HD 1920x1080 resolution. The large display of 40 inches is great to have at this price point. So if you are looking for an affordable Smart TV option then this one is very good. The display has a fair refresh rate of 60Hz and 93% color gamut which produces great colours on the screen and gives you an immersive watching experience.

The 40Y1 has a Quad-core Cortex A53 processor to keep it running smoothly. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage capacity. So it will work fine with a reasonable number of apps installed on it but can give issues if you install a lot of them. It has the Gamma engine to reduce noise and provide you sharp and good quality visuals but as it's a Full HD TV you will get an average viewing experience only.  The remote is also very simplistic and has dedicated buttons for different streaming platforms Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. You can also access Google Assistant with the click of a button.

The Oneplus 40Y1 runs on the Android 9 Operating System which could have been better as currently Android 10 is the standard. You have the Google Play Store app from where you can install the apps you need. The OxygenPlay interface is provided in the Smart TV which is very easy to use and similar to the PatchWall interface of Xiaomi. It is very clean and convenient to navigate so you will get your hands on it very easily. As it is a Smart TV, you will be able to enjoy favourite content from different streaming platforms easily without facing any issues.

Here on Oneplus 40Y1, you have Google Assistant support which you can use to control numerous things on your smart TV such as checking your favourite team score or performing a search. You have a built-in Chromecast so if you want to stream the content from your mobile device to your Television set, you can do it easily.

Another utility you have with this smart TV is that you can control it from your phone with the OnePlus Connect app. You only have to pair your TV one time and afterwards, it will connect automatically. You will be able to do many things such as searching media by typing from your phone, using the phone as a remote control, screen mirroring etc.
