OnePlus is all set to launch its new-generation flagship smartphones for the masses. In addition to the upcoming vanilla OnePlus 10 and the OnePlus 10 Pro, the company is also working on its first tablet called the OnePlus Pad. The OnePlus tablet has been visiting the leaks factory for a while but no authentic information has been available all this while related to its launch timeline and the key features. In the latest development, the OnePlus Pad’s upcoming India launch has been confirmed by a website listing. So, when is the first OnePlus tablet making its debut in the Indian market and which price bracket do we expect it to arrive in? Below are all the details:
OnePlus Pad Tablet India Launch Confirmed Soon; How Much Will It Cost In India
The OnePlus Pad‘s upcoming India launch has been revealed by tipster Mukul Sharma. The tipster has shared a trademark listing screenshot that mentions the “OnePlus Pad” moniker. The screenshot only mentions the OnePlus Pad moniker. No other key information related to the upcoming OnePlus tablet has been shared by the trademark filing. While the website listing doesn’t reveal the key features and specs, it does hint at an imminent launch.
Some reports hint at the OnePlus Pad India launch by June 2022. With just a few months remaining for the upcoming launch, it shouldn’t be long before OnePlus itself starts sharing teaser posters for the upcoming launch. If we go by the recent leaks, the upcoming OnePlus Pad will be launched as a premium mid-range tablet.
It is expected to be priced under Rs. 35,000 in the country. However, this is speculation and the exact price details can be confirmed once it is launched officially across the markets. With this expected pricing, the OnePlus Pad tablet is likely to come as the OPPO Pad and Xiaomi Pad 5 rival.
OnePlus Pad Tablet Specifications (Leaked)
The OnePlus Pad specifications have been leaked a couple of times online. The rumor mill has suggested a tall 12.4-inch display which will be an OLED panel with 1080p FHD+ screen resolution. The refresh rate is not revealed. However, we might see a 120Hz refresh rate similar to the OPPO Pad or the Xiaomi Pad 5.
OnePlus is also said to use the Snapdragon 865 chipset to drive its first tablet. The OnePlus tablet might be available with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. It is also expected with a 45W fast charging supported 10,900 mAh battery which is bigger than what the OPPO tablet offers.
OnePlus is frequently adding new smartphones to its product portfolio. This year, the Chinese OEM has already introduced devices for affordable as well as premium audiences across the globe. The OnePlus 10 Pro arrived as the brand’s newest flagship phone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor followed by the OnePlus 10R recently. The company is now working on the vanilla OnePlus 10 which is expected to break covers sometime soon. But seems like OnePlus is experimenting this time by introducing a top-tier variant with the Ultra moniker. As per a new leak, the OnePlus 10 Ultra is also under development and its key features have been tipped alongside the standard OnePlus 10.
OnePlus 10 Ultra Specifications Leaked
The top-most variant in the OnePlus 10 series has been tipped to be under development by noted leakster Yogesh Brar. The upcoming model is said to the OnePlus 10 Ultra which as per the tipster will be driven by the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. The handset is currently in the testing phase and it can’t be said if it’ll go official this year itself in the global markets including India.
So the OnePlus Ultra flagship is getting into testing phase, focus on cameras & SD 8 Gen 1+
OnePlus 10 – D9000/SD 8 Gen 1 (depending on market)
D8000 and SD888 in more Mid-range phones like Nord series
Just for reference, the OnePlus 10 Pro arrived as the company’s first Android phone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. This makes us believe, the OnePlus 10 Ultra will be the company’s first phone to be powered by Qualcomm’s newest top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor. In addition to the chipset, the tipster has also hinted the upcoming OnePlus 10 Ultra to be a camera-oriented phone.
However, the camera specifications details are not revealed. There are possibilities that OnePlus upgrades the camera hardware keeping the Hasselblad branding intact. No other OnePlus 10 Ultra hardware detail has been revealed until now. Since the device is under development, we will likely get more details going forward.
Vanilla OnePlus 10 Key Features Also Tipped
The tweet shared by the tipster has also shared details related to the vanilla OnePlus 10. The standard OnePlus 10 model is said to be powered by either the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 or the Dimensity 9000 processor. The brand will be using these processors depending on the markets.
Furthermore, the tipster hints that OnePlus is also working on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor-powered chipset. However, the model’s name isn’t revealed. With multiple devices in the pipeline, OnePlus is expected to soon flood the smartphone space with premium and mid-tier phones. We are waiting for the rumor mill and the brand to reveal the exact timeline for upcoming OnePlus 10 smartphones and also the features.

Vivo T1 Pro 5G First Look Review
Crisp And Vivid Display
Vivo has packed the T1 Pro 5G with a 6.44-inch display. The company has used an upgraded AMOLED panel this time instead of the standard IPS LCD. If we speak of the display specifications then the T1 Pro 5G’s AMOLED panel supports 1080 x 2404 pixels screen resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. If you are one of those users who spend most of your time glancing at your phone’s display then the T1 Pro 5G will be a visual treat for you.
During our initial testing phase, the panel seems impressive with general content viewing. The panel also has HDR10+ certification which makes it suitable to consume videos via OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, and others. The display color temperature, as well as color production, is balanced.
You don’t find the content getting overly saturated. Besides, the slim bezels along with the tiny waterdrop notch hamper least with the visibility. With a peak brightness level of 1300 nits, the T1 Pro 5G’s display offers good sunlight visibility.
The panel also integrates a fingerprint scanner which we found to be fast and accurate with device unlocking. We also tested the panel’s performance with gaming which has been decent until now. But we will be testing the T1 Pro 5G’s display thoroughly to give detailed feedback on the same.
Vivo T1 Pro 5G Quick Performance Feedback
The Vivo T1 Pro 5G uses Qualcomm’s premium mid-tier Snapdragon 778G processor. This is an octa-core chipset by Qualcomm which is designed specifically for gaming Android phones. Our initial user experience with the Vivo T1 Pro 5G has been great. The handset is capable of completing all the basic and extensive tasks without any difficulties.
It didn’t flinch even with multiple apps running in the background and while switching between the pre-loaded apps. The T1 Pro 5G’s SD 778G processor employs Adreno 642L GPU to render extensive graphics smoothly.
This Vivo T series phone comes with up to 8GB RAM. This RAM capacity is ample for swift multitasking. The storage option offered by the T1 Pro 5G is up to 128GB which can be further expanded using an external microSD card. Storage crunch isn’t an issue with the device, neither is the overall performance.
The unit is pre-installed with Android 12 OS and features a custom FunTouch OS on top. The UI experience is decent. There are a bunch of pre-installed third-party apps and bloatware. You can uninstall a few of them manually for a cleaner UI.
Vivo T1 Pro 5G Camera First Impressions
Vivo has good expertise with mobile camera hardware. The T1 Pro 5G is one of the best examples of a mid-range Vivo phone that can be purchased for under Rs. 25,000 with some potent camera hardware. It ships with a 64MP main camera which has an f/1.79 aperture. Accompanying the primary sensor is an 8MP ultrawide angle lens that has an f/2.2 aperture and another 2MP sensor for macro shots.
The T1 Pro 5G’s camera has performed well during our initial testing. You will have no complaints with the daylight shots as the primary camera can capture a high level of clarity. There are multiple in-app camera modes that you can use to improve the imaging quality as well as the overall optics experience. Amongst the several camera models are Portrait, Panorama, and Live Photo.
The camera app also has a dedicated Night mode which will help with low-light photography. The images we captured with low-lit backgrounds were decent. Edge detection and dynamic range are good overall. Notably, the T1 Pro 5G rear cameras are also capable of recording dual view videos, slow-motion and time-lapse videos as well.
As for the selfie snapper, the Vivo T1 Pro 5G uses a 16MP lens which is housed within the waterdrop notch upfront. The selfies captured by the T1 Pro 5G are good. You get high-resolution self-portraits that you can easily flaunt on social media portals.
The overall photography experience with the T1 Pro 5G has been good. But we are yet to test the camera performance extensively in all scenarios. Stay tuned with us for detailed camera performance feedback on the T1 Pro 5G.
Big Battery, Super Fast 66W Turbo Flash Charge
The Vivo T1 Pro 5G is packed with a beefy 4,700 mAh battery unit. This large capacity battery packs enough juice to drive the handset close to an entire day if you are using it moderately. The biggest highlight of the T1 Pro 5G is the 66W Turbo Flash charge.
As per the claims, it refuels the device from zero to 50 percent in 18 minutes. We haven’t got to test the battery capacity and the fast-charging speeds to their full potential yet. But will do the same in the coming days.
Is Vivo T1 Pro 5G A Hit Or A Miss?
The Vivo T1 Pro 5G is one complete package that you can buy under Rs. 25,000 in India. This premium range phone has a power game-centric 5G processor which along with up to 8GB RAM offers a powerful performance delivery.

OPPO is working on the next-generation Reno series phones called the Reno8 The successor to the Reno7 Pro series is getting released this year itself. OPPO is expected to bring at least three different models to the upcoming premium mid-tier Android lineup. The vanilla Reno8 is rumored to debut alongside the Reno8 Pro and the affordable Reno8 Lite variant. Until now, we have received several updates that reveal the upcoming Reno8 series India launch timeline along with the key features of the standard Reno8 and the Reno8 Pro. But now, the rumor mill has spilled beans on the Reno8 Lite 5G’s design. The leaked renders hint at a rebadged version of two recent popular OPPO Handsets. Check out the details here:
OPPO Reno8 Lite 5G New Leak Hints A Rebranded Reno7 Lite/ Oppo F21 Pro
The OPPO Reno8 Lite fresh renders have been leaked by a tipster called @_snoopytech_ on Twitter. The tweet shared by the tipster shows the entire design aspect of the Reno8 Lite. The rear panel as well as the fascia of the upcoming Reno8 series affordable model has been shared. The render images show a tall front panel that has a thin bezel profile.
Only the chin is slightly thicker compared to the remaining borders. The front panel can be seen sporting a punch-hole camera cutout on the top left corner for the selfie snapper. The Reno8 Lite’s back panel is seen with a vertical camera module that has two large and one small sensor along with an LED flash.
Two color options have also been confirmed by the leaked Reno8 Lite 5G renders. The device will be available in a black and iridescent shade. The renders show a familiar design language. The Reno8 Lite 5G seems a rip-off of its predecessor, i.e, the Reno7 Lite. Notably, the OPPO F21 Pro which is a rebranded version of the Reno7 Lite also has the same design. This leak suggests the Reno8 Pro might not come with any major design changes compared to the Reno7 Lite or the OPPO F21 Pro.
But besides the design, this new leak doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming Reno series phone. Only the Reno8 Lite 5G moniker has been confirmed besides the design which suggests the affordable Reno8 variant will be backed by 5G network support. There is still some confusion related to the Reno8 Lite’s hardware.
Not many details have been revealed by the leaks or the tipsters. It can’t be said at the moment if the upcoming Reno8 Lite 5G will be packed with a similar set of features as the Reno7 Lite 5G. That’s considering the fresh leak has shown an identical design language as the previous-gen model and the OPPO F21 Pro. But we believe OPPO will introduce the Reno8 Lite 5G with upgraded hardware. We are expecting some changes at least in the camera and processor department.
Just to recap, the Reno7 Lite 5G debuted with the octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G processor. It remains to be seen if the Reno8 Lite 5G employs a slightly more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon series processor or a new-generation MediaTek Dimensity series chipset. We might get some more clues related to the Reno8 Lite 5G’s hardware specification. Its availability is anticipated in June this year. We will confirm all the details once available.
Sattelite-based navigation toll collection system under development
Exact timeline for FASTags getting out of service is a mystery
FASTag toll collection system came as one of the biggest respites for Indian consumers using the national highways for daily or occasional commutes. This advanced toll collection system started as a pilot project back in 2014. And by December 2019, the Indian government made it a mandate system for collecting tolls across all toll plazas on the national highways in India. FASTag was introduced to make the commute for the masses hassle-free and also get rid of long queues at the toll plazas.
But the latest developments suggest the government is planning to abolish the FASTag service in India and instead bring a new toll collection method. The government is said to be in the works to implement a new satellite-based toll collection system which might be more expensive than the current fare collection system. Why is the FASTag system getting abolished in India and which service will replace it? Read on to know all the details:
FASTag Toll Collection Getting Discarded in India
The Indian government has started working on a new system to collect tolls from the vehicles commuting on the national highways in the country. Currently, the tolls are being collected using the RFID-based FASTag system where a certain fixed amount is being charged from the travelers. The current rates are set depending on the distance between one toll collection point and the other.
While there is no official confirmation from the government stating the abolition of the FASTag system, rumors are rife that it’s getting replaced by a rather advanced fare collection system. Several online reports have suggested the government is planning to implement a new toll collection system that will be using the satellite-based navigation system to charge the toll fare.
New Satellite-Based Navigation Toll System To Replace FASTag Toll Collection In India
A new satellite-based toll collection system based on satellite navigation is said to replace FASTag in the coming years in India. The latest toll collection system is already said to be in the development phase and a pilot project has already been initiated for the same in the country. This toll collection system has been doing fairly well in the international markets.
Countries like Germany and Russia are using the satellite toll collection system in their region. The Indian government is said to be following the lead of the European nations by implementing the satellite-based toll collection in the country. It might take a while for the government to completely implement this new toll collection system all across the Indian continent.
Experts from Russia and South Korea are being consulted by the Indian government to prepare a study report that will help complete this project. With the expert opinion and study cases, it will be easy to deploy the satellite toll collection at a mass scale.
How Will The New Satellite Toll Collection Work? Will It Be Expensive Than FASTag?
Unlike FASTag, where a toll fare is charged based on the distance between one toll booth to another, the upcoming satellite toll collection will rather charge the travelers based on the total kilometers driven on the national highway or expressway. The toll collection system would be similar to FASTag where a certain amount would be deducted from the linked account.
However, the fare charges will now be calculated right from the moment a vehicle gets on a toll-enabled route. This upcoming toll collection system seems a bit expensive compared to the current FASTag system. But we aren’t yet sure how expensive it would be compared to FASTag once it is implemented officially on a mass scale. Besides, this new satellite toll collection is in the testing phase and it might take a few years before it goes fully functional in the country.

iQOO Z6 series has landed in the Indian market this year and has been expanded within a short span. The vanilla iQOO Z6 5G arrived first in the country back in March followed by the Z6 Pro 5G last month. The standard iQOO Z6 5G has been announced in the country in three different variants priced starting at Rs. 15,999. But the brand has now launched a new iQOO Z6 5G model which would cost you marginally less compared to the remaining models. But what’s the catch? Read on to know:
This iQOO Z6 5G Variant Is Cheaper Compared To Existing Models?
As mentioned above, the iQOO Z6 5G has been launched in the Indian market with an asking price of Rs. 15,999. That’s what you pay for the base model which comes with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The premium gaming Android phone is also available with a higher 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration which is priced at Rs. 16,999. There is another 8GB RAM+ 128GB storage model which is launched in India at Rs. 17,999.
But if you have been eyeing to buy the iQOO Z6 5G, then there is a fresh model which you can buy at cheaper rates. A discount of Rs. 1500 is what you get on the new Z6 5G variant. But this is not a new configuration or a color variant of the Z6 Pro 5G that is being sold with a discount of Rs. 1500; rather, the brand has now released a new retail box that ships without a charger.
The latest iQOO Z6 5G model without a charger is being sold with the aforementioned discount of Rs. 1500. It is worth adding that only the base model which has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage option can be purchased at the lower rates. The remaining models are still being sold at the same launch price.
This information was initially shared by tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore initially who also shared a screenshot of the Amazon listing confirming the availability of iQOO Z6 5G without a charger in India. We also have confirmed the same on the Amazon India website.
With Rs. 1500 discount, the iQOO Z6 5G’s base model without charger can be purchased at Rs. 13,999. There are also a bunch of additional discounts and cashback offers that users can avail during the iQOO Z6 5G purchase via Amazon. The Z6 5G can be purchased in two color options including Dynamo Black and Chromatic Blue.
Will iQOO Stop Bundling Chargers With Future Models?
iQOO might have opted for this strategy for the first time where it is giving an option for the masses to buy one of its mid-range phones without a travel adapter at lower rates. But smartphone OEMs have already started with this transition a while back. A couple of brands specifically Apple and Samsung have already adopted this strategy.
Other smartphone OEMs are gradually joining this bandwagon. This could be the case with iQOO as well. If the brand gets a good response from the audience with this strategy, we might see some more iQOO-labelled handsets to ship without a travel adapter in the future.
Should You Buy iQOO Z6 5G With Or Without Travel Adapter?
The iQOO Z6 5G is amongst the few affordable 5G phones that are fully loaded in terms of features. The handset ships with the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G processor which is further supported by Adreno 619 GPU and up to 8GB RAM. It comes with up to 256GB native storage capacity and Android 12 OS that has a custom Funtouch OS 12 interface on top.
The affordable iQOO Z6 5G phone has a 6.58-inch IPS LCD panel that supports 1080 x 2408 pixels screen resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. This budget 5G phone’s display supports 1080p FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. At the back, the Z6 5G comprises a triple rear camera module housing a 50MP main lens with an f/1.8 aperture combined with a 2MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth lens.
The iQOO Z6 5G uses a 16MP camera for selfies and a 5,000 mAh battery for power delivery. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. The latest model that ships without the travel adapter doesn’t have any hardware differences. Therefore, if in case you have a spare 18W charger you should consider going for the new model that comes void of the travel adapter. Otherwise, it would be wise to go for the standard retail variant that comes with the charger.

The Vivo T1 Pro 5G dedicated microsite at Flipkart is being consistently updated with the key specifications. The upcoming Vivo T series phone is already confirmed to be powered by the Snapdragon 778G processor. This is an octa-core premium chipset by Qualcomm that is designed for game-centric Android phones and is backed by 5G network connectivity. We recently saw this chipset on a bunch of other new releases including the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G.
Now coming back to the Vivo T1 Pro 5G’s fresh Flipkart listing, a triple rear camera module with a 64MP main sensor is revealed. The primary camera on the upcoming Vivo T series phone will be accompanied by a wide-angle sensor (with 117-degree FoV) and an additional sensor for macro photography. Vivo is touting the T1 Pro 5G with a Super Night camera which we expect to deliver a good low-light photography experience.
In addition to the camera specifications, the Flipkart microsite has also confirmed the Vivo T1 Pro 5G’s fast charging capacity. This Vivo T series model will come with 66W Turbo Flash charge technology which is also identical to the recently launched iQOO Z6 Pro 5G. Unfortunately, the battery size isn’t updated on the e-commerce website. This we can expect to be revealed once the device goes official on May 4, 2022.
The Vivo T1 Pro 5G’s Flipkart microsite will also reveal the display details. However, we will have to wait till tomorrow for the same. The leaks and rumors have pointed at an FHD+ AMOLED panel, but Vivo is yet to give an official nod to this piece of information. The design language of the upcoming Vivo T series model has already been revealed by the teaser posters.
Going by the official renders, the Vivo T1 Pro 5G seems to be similar to the iQOO Z6 Pro 5G where the back panel has a large vertical camera module housing two large camera rings. Upfront, it will flaunt a standard waterdrop notch instead of a punch-hole camera cutout which is a trend with new-generation mid-range and flagship phones.
