BYD, the Chinese automaker has upgraded its EV portfolio in India. The company has brought in new updated trim of the BYD Atto 3 electric SUV in the country packed with a host of new features. BYD will soon start with the Atto 3 deliveries in India and has started taking pre-orders in the meanwhile. BYD has launched the Atto 3 in three different trims. The base variant is called Dynamic, while the mid and top trims are dubbed Premium and Superior respectively. The base Dynamic trim of the Atto 3 is packed with a 49.92 kWh battery, whereas, the Premium and Superior models feature a bigger 60.8 kWh battery.

The Dynamic model offers up to 468 km range on full charge which is increased to 521 km per charge with the Premium and Superior Atto 3 trims. Charging time claimed for the Atto 3 is up to 50 minutes for 0- 80 percent charge. All three Atto 3 variants comes equipped with a PMSM electric motor producing 150 kW of peak power and 310 Nm of peak torque.

Acceleration is quick too with the Atto 3 Dynamic reaching 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds. On the other hand, the remaining two trims take around 7.3 seconds for the same sprint of 0- 100 kmph. The Atto 3 is equipped with a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment touchscreen and a 5-inch digital driver display. Level 2 ADAS safety suite, 360° surveillance camera, and a panoramic sunroof comes as additional range of features.

BYD Atto 3 Updated Models Price In India

BYD has launched the Atto 3 Dynamic at Rs. 24.99 lakh . On the other hand, the Atto 3 Premium has been announced at Rs. 28.95 lakh and the Atto 3 Superior at Rs. 33.99 lakh . The base dynamic variant has arrived with a price tag of Rs. 24.99 lakh. New shades including Cosmos Black, Ski White, Boulder Grey and Surf Blue have also been introudced.

The Tata Curvv EV’s official teaser has been shared right ahead of its festive season launch. The company took its official X handle to tease the upcoming EV with the post reading “Designed with character – designed with care.  #TataCURVV #TataCurvvEV – coming soon.”

Since this is the first official teaser of the Curvv EV, not much has been shared by Tata when we speak of the design. However, Tata has already revealed how the upcoming EV will look like during the Baharat Global Mobility Expo showcasing.

The production-ready test mules spotted also gave us a glimpse of its design and features. Both Curvv ICE and the EV models will be identical design-wise with the latter getting EV specific elements including the grille, charging port, and more.

The coupe-style electric SUV will feature a slanting roofline and Nexon-like DRLs (daytime running headlamps). The same has been revealed by the official teaser. The short video also showcases the connected tail lamp setup and alloy wheels.

Tata Curvv EV Powertrain:What To Expect?

Despite showcasing the concept, Tata has kept a silence related to the Curvv EV’s powertrain and features. However, this upcoming EV is expected to use the same Activ.ev platform as the Punch.ev. Not much details are out yet, but the Curvv EV will also be loaded with advanced tech and features and is expected to deliver up to 500 km range on a single battery charge cycle.

Mahindra recently revamped the XUV300 as XUV 3XO. The compact SUV arrived as the top contender against the likes of Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, and Nexon. The ICE variant of the XUV 3XO has been grabbing all the headlines in its league. But seems like Mahindra is now going a step ahead and will soon add the EV variant of the XUV 3XO soon to its portfolio. Mahindra XUV 3XO EV Production, India Launch Timeframe

As per the online reports, Mahindra will soon be commencing the productions of the XUV 3XO EV in India. The brand is rumored to kick off the production of the upcoming compact e-SUV by November this year itself. It is further being suggested that Mahindra has given an internal codename to the upcoming compact electric SUV model, i.e., S240. While the brand is yet to divulge more information on the XUV 3XO EV’s production and launch timeline, the online reports indicate its debut by the end of 2024.

Furthermore, the reports indicate a set target which Mahindra is aiming for the XUV 3XO EV’s production in the country. Initially, the brand will be producing an approximate of 1,500- 1,800 units per month of the XUV 3XO EV. Collectively, Mahindra is said to produce around 12,000 units of the XUV 3XO ICE and EV variants going forward.

Mahindra XUV 3XO Expected Powertrain And Features

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is expected to borrow the powertrain from the XUV 400 electric base model. The upcoming electric SUV is likely to feature a 34.5 kWh battery pack which also drives the XUV 400 entry-level variant. As of now, the details related to its motor pack and performance are at large. However, with the aforementioned battery pack, it could offer around 350- 280 km range per charge.
