Bajaj started its venture into the electric two wheeler market with the revival of its legendary two wheeler scooter Chetak. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is introduced as a premium option for the consumer competing against the likes of Ola S1 Pro and the Ather 450X. Now, the company has given a hefty price cut on the e-scooter with the Fame II subsidies included. How much will the new Chetak electric scooter cost in India following the discount? Just to recap, Bajaj had launched the Chetak electric scooter with a starting price label of Rs. 1.22 lakh. The base model carried this price tag, while the top model was introduced at Rs. 1.52 lakh. With the latest discounts, the top end variant of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter can now be purchased at Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom).

It is worth noting that the company has discontinued the base model and will now only be selling the high-end model of Chetak with the discounted prices. This information has been confirmed by the official website listing where only the premium model is listed with the axed price. Interested buyers will be able to select from three different colors including black, beige, and blue.

The top-end variant of the Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is packed with a 2.88 kWh li-ion battery module. With this battery pack, the scooter can deliver a range of up to 108 km per charge with a single charge. However, the real life riding range is around 90 km per charge. The battery pack can take a full charge of 100 percent within four hours.

A 3.8 kW electric motor dives the Chetak electric scooter that can deliver a peak torque of 16nm. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter can reach a top speed of up to 63 kmph and has several user-friendly features. This electric scooter comes with a large LCD digital instrument cluster that shows the important ride stats.
