Tata has been rapidly increasing its presence across the EV industry in India and has now updated its portfolio with one of the most anticipated electric cars. The Tata Nexon EV Facelift has finally been unveiled in the Indian market featuring a reworked design and new improved features. Read all details below:

Tata Nexon EV Facelift Design: What’s New?

The Tata Nexon EV Facelift comes with similar design language as the recently launched Tata Nexon ICE version. The fascia is revamped and the design is losely based on the Tata Curvv concept electric car. The Nexon EV’s facelift variant gets new connected LED taillight and DRLs and also R16 alloy wheels. The interiors of the Nexon EV Facelift is also re-designed to give a more premium feel. Tata has added rain sensing wipers, an electric sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and front and rear parking camera sensor.

It includes a new 12.3-inch digital infotainment system with digital voice assistant and Arcade.ev compatibility. The latter is Tata’s in-house app suite that offers compatibility with around 15 different popular mobile apps. The updated interiors also include ventilated seats and rear AC vents.

Tata has launched two different variants of the Nexon EV Facelift electric car. There is a Medium Range (MR) and a Long Range (LR) variant. Both Tata Nexon EV Facelift MR and LR model are equipped with a Gen 2 electric motor. The base model, i.e., the Nexon EV MR variant is capable of producing 95kW peak power and 215NM of peak torque. It can deliver a range if up to 325km per charge (ARAI certified) and can accelerate from 0-100 in 9.2 seconds.

The Tata Nexon EV Facelift LR (Long Range) model has a bigger 40.5kWh battery pack and a better 106.4kW peak power. The range is also higher with this model, i.e., 465km per charge. This model can reach 0-100 kmph within 8.9 seconds. The Nexon EV facelift LR model takes around 4.3 hours to charge from 10-100 percent, while the LR model takes around 6 hours for the same.

As tipped by the rumors, the TVS X smart electric scooter is designed on the Creon concept EV that was showcased back in 2018. This new electric scooter offers a maxi-style design that is based on the brand’s in-house XELTON platform. The TVS X electric scooter comes with a 770mm seat height for a better ride quality.

Moving on to the powertrain, the TVS X electric scooter is equipped with a PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) electric motor. This powerful electric motor is capable of producing a peak power of 11kW (around 7 kW of peak continuous power). The peak torque that is generated by the TVS X’s electric motor is 40Nm.

With the portable charger, the electric scooter can be charged from 0 to 80 percent within 4.5 hours, while with the Smart X rapid charger, this electric scooter can be charged from 0 to 50 percent in 50 minutes.

In terms of features, the TVS X electric scooter offers three different riding modes namely Xtealth, Xtride, and Xonic. This premium electric scooter features 220mm front disc and 195mm rear disc for braking combined with ABS breaking system. This makes it one of the first two-wheeler electric scooter to offers an ABS breaking module

Additional set of features offered by the TVS X flagship electric scooter includes a large 10.25-inch TFS digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connected ride system for navigation alerts and music playback support. The leaked images of the Tata Punch EV’s test mule has been clicked at a charging station and gives a fair insight into the brand’s upcoming four wheeler electric car’s key design elements. The leaked images reveal the Tata Punch EV will feature one major design distinction compared to most of the other available EV’s in the market.

The Tata Punch EV will feature will likely come with the front-mounted charging plug. The charing slot on the Punch EV could be positioned over the front bumper. Just for reference, the in most of the current generation mid-sized electric cars, the slot for charging is placed on the side panels. Additionally, the upcoming Tata electric car will feature alloy wheels.

The primary design language of the Tata Punch EV will be identical to the Tata Punch ICE model. There wouldn’t be any major design overhaul besides the charging slot upfront compared to the existing ICE model. The Mahindra e-Alfa Super gets its power from an integrated 140Ah lead-acid battery pack. This new e-Alfa electric scooter is capable of delivering around 95 km range with each charge cycle. The powerful powertrain of the e-Alfa three-wheeler electric scooter will allow it to double up as a cargo vehicle if required.

Besides, it is designed as a modern transport solution where it can not only ferry passengers but also cargo loads daily. Mahindra will ship the new e-Alfa three wheeler rickshaw with an 18A charger. However, the company hasn’t shared any details on the charging speeds of the battery yet.

Mahindra e-Alfa Super Electric Rickshaw Price In India, Where To Buy?

The Mahindra e-Alfa Super electric scooter has been launched at Rs. 1.61 lakh in India. Notably, the availability of the e-scooter will depend the approval from the state governments in the country. It is also worth noting that Mahindra has announced a 12-month warranty on the e-Alfa Super’s charger.
