Ather Energy has been one of those brands that rattled the two-wheeler electric automotive market in India. The Ather 450X is the company’s most premium electric scooter option available for the Indian consumers. Ather hasn’t made any major changes to the new 450X base variant’s powertrain. The new budget Ather 450X also has the same 6.2kW electric motor as the high-end version. The peak torque produced by this new electric scooter is 26 Nm.

The affordable Ather 450X version has the same 3.7kWh battery pack which is IP67 certified. The top speed claimed is 90 kmph. The base variant of Ather 450X electric scooter’s riding range will be up to 146 km with each charge.

Ather 450X Base Variant: What’s Different?

While the powertrain on the Ather 450X base variant remains identical, it has several features missing that explains the lower price tag. The base model of the new Ather electric scooter comes void of the multiple riding modes which you get with the premium version. The new model will now take around 15 hours and 20 minutes for a full battery recharge and also can’t be charged at the Ather fast charging network. Ather 450X Base Version Price, Availability

The Ather 450X base model’s pricing is the key highlight. It has ben announced at Rs. 98,079 (ex-showroom). Ather is also offering a Pro Pack with which will allow users to upgrade the base model with additional features and tech. This pack will cost an extra Rs. 30,364. As for the color options, the Ather 450X base model will be available in Cosmic Black, Space Grey, Still White, Lunar Grey, and Space Grey shades.

Called BGAUSS C12, the latest e-scooter from the home-grown brand has been introduced with multiple user-friendly/utility features, approx. 20 safety features under Rs. 1.05 lakh. The BGAUSS C12 electric scooter comes packed with a 3.2 kWh (60V 55AH) battery module. The li-ion battery on the latest BGAUSS electric scooter gets a battery management system that is added to keep a check on the temperature fluctuations. Also, the battery module is swappable which is handy feature.

The C12 electric scooter further uses a 2.5kW electric motor. The peak torque generated by the integrated electric motor is around 105 Nm. The BGAUSS C12 electric scooter offers a top speed of up to 50 km per hour. The claimed range delivered by the new e-scooter is 143 km per charge.

The BGAUSS C12 electric scooter comes with 160+ mm ground clearance. It has 12-inch and 10-inch front and rear steel wheels respectively. For suspension, the C12 electric scooter uses a telescopic suspension system upfront and an adjustable shock absorber module at the rear. The braking is handled by drum brakes both upfront and the rear.

The electric scooter has portable charger and a USB charging port. The utility features include luggage hook and a full-sized helmet compartment under the seat. It also has a front and underfoot storage which can be locked for security.

BGAUSS C12 Electric Scooter Price, Color Options, Buying Details

The BGAUSS electric scooter is announced at an introductory price of Rs. 97,999 (ex-showroom) in India. The e-scooter’s prices will resume to Rs. 1,04,999 once the initial stock deliveries complete.  Speaking of the color options the BGAUSS C12 electric scooter can be purchased in Matte Guass Blue, Foliage Green, Yellow Black, Shiny Silver, Red Black, and Pearl White shades.

MG Comet EV India Launch: This Is The Official Date

The MG Comet EV is set to debut on April 19, 2023 in India. As mentioned above, the upcoming budget three-door hatchback electric car’s launch has been confirmed by MG itself. The official teaser shared by the brand showcases the Comet EV’s interior. The dashboard can be seen with large dual-screen digital instrument cluster. The steering mounting seems two-spoke which will integrate iPod-inspired controls.

MG has not revealed much besides the official launch date or the dashboard/steering design. The pricing details are also under the wraps as of now. But if we consider the leaks, the MG Comet EV will be the brand’s cheapest yet electric car in the Indian market. The price range tipped is under Rs. 10 lakh.

Whether or not it will be cheaper compared to the Tata Tiago EV remains to be seen. MG is also rumored to launch the Comet EV in multiple variants where the pricing would vary depending on the set of features.

The MG Comet EV’s past leaks and rumors suggests an identical platform as the Wuling AirEV available globally. The Kia EV6 is a premium electric crossover that offers impressive specs and advanced features. Fujiyama’s low-speed electric scooter model, Spectra, is equipped with a 250W BLDC motor and a 1.56kWh Li-ion battery pack for an impressive range of up to 90 kilometres. Its counterpart, the Spectra Pro, boasts similar features and range but with a smaller 1.34kWh battery pack. The Vespar model offers comparable technology but has a unique retro-modern design. The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter with ADAS has been tipped to be under development for a while now. Finally, an official teaser shared by Ola India CEO, Bhavesh Aggarwal confirms the company’s plan to launch the Ola S1 Pro with ADAS.

The short teaser video shared by Aggarwal on Twiiter shows the Gerua color variant of the Ola S1 Pro. The video shows a new tech addition to the handlebar which likely is the ADAS security feature. The video shows the Ola S1 Pro’s additional equipment equivalent size as an action camera. Looking closely at the vide, the “Don’t Put Pressure” label can be read on the additional equipment.

However, it is uncertain if the equipment is indeed an action camera or something else. Nevertheless, the video does show a camera accommodated just above the MID. This could be one of the camera sensors which the Ola S1 Pro would need for the ADAS and Adaptive Cruise control features to work efficiently. The new-generation Ola S1 Pro with ADAS is also said to come with Pedestrian Detection and collision avoidance features.

The Acer ebii features a standard street bike design with a flat handle bar. It features a lightweight design and weighs just 16 kgs. This is claimed to be lighter form factor compared to the what the competition offers in the same segment.

Moving to the powertrain, the Acer ebii E-bike gets its power from a 250W hub electric motor. The single speed e-bike features a 460W Li-ion battery that takes around 2.5 hours for a full recharge (from zero to 100 percent). The charger is compatible with laptops too.

The Acer ebii electric bike can reach a top speed of 25 km/h and deliver a range of up to 110 km per charge. Acer has also laced the ebii e-bike with AI technologies with which the bike can analyse rider preferences for a better ride. The e-bike can come with automatic gear shifting that helps with easy urban cruising.  

Additionally, the Acer e-bike comes with ebiiGO app compatibility. This allows the riders to lock and unlock the e-bike directly using the companion app on smartphones and also access crucial ride data including speed check and battery information.  Acer has also integrated ant-theft alarm for added security.  The Acer ebii e-bike gets 16mm hydraulic disc braking module and features an aluminium frame body.
