Xiaomi 11i series has made its debut in the Indian market ahead of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series. Two new models have been introduced by the Chinese tech giant in this new premium mid-range Android smartphone lineup. The Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge 5G and the Xiaomi 11i 5G are the latest entrants in the country. Both handsets use MediaTek Dimensity series processor and have other high-end features such as a 120Hz AMOLED display and up to 120W fast wired charging support.

Both Xiaomi 11i 5G and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCHarge are introduced with an identical set of features. The former is the low-end variant. However, the only downgrade it comes with is in the form of fast charging capacity. We’ll come back to it later, but before let’s take a look at the remaining features which are the same on both models.

The Xiaomi 11i 5G and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge are launched with the Dimensity 920 octa-core processor. The configurations announced are up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both handsets also have external microSD card support.

The Xiaomi 11i 5G and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge flaunt the same AMOLED panel that supports 1080P FHD+ resolution and is 6.67-inches in size. The display on both devices supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 1200 nits peak brightness, and sports a punch-hole cutout.

The Xiaomi 11i 5G series uses a triple-camera setup at the rear where the main sensor is a 108MP lens. This is a Samsung HM2 sensor that has an f/1.89 aperture and is aided by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. The selfie snapper packed inside both models is a 16MP lens.

Additional common features in both Xiaomi 11i 5G and the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge include an in-display fingerprint scanner, Dolby Atmos speakers, and IP53 certification. Now coming to the primary difference between both Xiaomi 11i 5G series handsets, i.,e the battery. The standard Xiaomi 11i 5G features a 5,160mAh battery with 67W fast charging. On the other hand, the Xiaomi 11i 5G HyperCharge uses a slightly smaller 4,500 mAh battery but faster 120W wired charging.

The standard Xiaomi 11i 5G comes with a starting price label of Rs. 24,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. The 8GB RAM and 128GB variant is priced at Rs. 26,999. Likewise, the Xiaomi 11i HyperCHarge’s 6GB RAM model will cost you Rs. 26,999, while the 8GB RAM model can be purchased at Rs. 28,999. You can buy both new Xiaomi models via Flipkart and mi.com online starting January 12. It will be available via offline markets as well starting the same date.

Oppo has launched yet another 5G smartphone in its affordable “A” series. The latest model that comes from the Chinese brand’s bucket is the A96 5G. This new device has been doing rounds for a while online and its renders also surfaced just yesterday. The Oppo A96 5G has been silently introduced with a flat-edge design, Snapdragon 695 SoC, and an FHD+ OLED display.

Oppo A96 5G Design, Full Specifications

The Oppo A96 5G is an identical twin of the Reno7 which was announced last year. It also features a flat-frame design with a single-tone paint job at the back and a vertical camera setup on the upper-left of the back panel housing two large camera sensors surrounded by LED rings. Upfront, the Oppo A96 5G flaunts an OLED display panel (6.43-inches) with a punch-hole camera cutout.

The display type is OLED and the resolution offered is 1080p FHD+. The panel further supports the DCI-P3 color gamut and 60Hz refresh rate. The Oppo A96 5G uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC. This octa-core 5G chipset is accompanied by 8GB RAM. The handset features a 5GB virtual RAM feature. The handset offers an onboard storage capacity of 256GB which is further expandable via a microSD card.

In the camera department, the Oppo A96 5G uses a triple-camera system where a primary sensor is a 48MP lens. The main camera is combined with a 2MP depth sensor. The punch-hole camera cutout houses a 16MP camera for selfies and video calling. The Oppo A96 5G’s display integrates a physical fingerprint scanner for biometrics. It will ship with Android 12 OS-based on ColorOS 12 interface. The device uses a 4,500 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.

Oppo A96 5G Pricing Details, Availability

The Oppo A96 5G has been launched with a single 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration. It is currently limited to China and is yet to make its global debut. The company is expected to confirm the A96’s availability in India and other regions. As for the price, the Oppo A96 5G is announced at 1,999 Yuan which is around Rs. 23,300 in Indian currency. It is will be available for sale in Apricot Powder Warm Sun and Colored Glaze shades starting January 9 in China.

Both TCL 30 V 5G and the TCL 30 XE 5G are announced for the budget audience. The former is a Snapdragon 480 SoC-powered handset. The entry-level octa-core Qualcomm 5G processor is aided by 4GB RAM and 128GB storage capacity. It will boot on Android 11 OS.

The handset flaunts an AMOLED display that measures 6.67-inches. The TCL 30 V 5G display comes with 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The refresh rate offered is standard, i.e, 60Hz.

For optics, this budget TCL 5G phone sports a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide angle camera, and a 2MP depth sensor. The selfie department is handled by a 16MP camera upfront. The handset uses a 4,500 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support.

The TCL 30 XE 5G is also an affordable 5G handset that uses the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor instead of the Snapdragon 480 SoC as the above model. Other features are slightly downgraded compared to the other new model. While the display panel is the same, i.e, AMOLED, it is slightly smaller at 6.52-inches and supports 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution.

The camera setup also features a smaller 13MP primary lens at the back combined with a pair of 2MP sensors. The selfie snapper here is an 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. The battery capacity is the same here as the above variant, i.,e a 4,500 mAh unit with 18W fast charging support.

TCL 30 V 5G, TCL 30 XE 5G: Price, Where To Buy?

TCL is yet to announce the prices of both TCL 30 V 5G and the TCL 30 XE 5G. However, both handsets are said to be available initially in the US. We are waiting for the brand to update the availability status of both models in India and other regions.

Following several canceled ad eventually delayed launches, the Samsung Galaxy A21 FE has finally made its debut in the global market. The South Korean tech giant took to CES 2022 to announce its pending flagship smartphone for the masses. The premium-grade handset has been subject to numerous leaks with most of them centered around its availability rather than the specs and features. But the hardware packed inside the Galaxy S21 FE is the same as the rumor mill suggested all this while. Let’s look at the details below:

Samsung has packed the Galaxy S21 FE with a 6.4-inch display. It is a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel that supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel features a punch-hole cutout which is placed at the center-top. This in-display cutout is a storehouse for a 32MP selfie snapper with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Galaxy S21 FE’s primary optics setup at the back aligns a 12MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 12MP wide-angle sensor, and an additional 8MP telephoto sensor vertically inside a protruding module. At its core, the Galaxy S21 FE will be using the Snapdragon 888 SoC (in the US) and an octa-core Exynos 2100 processor in India and other Asian markets.

This premium range Samsung phone is announced with up to 8GB RAM. It will offer up to 256GB native storage capacity. Additional features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and a custom OneUI-based Android 11 OS firmware. Another important highlight is the IP68 certifications that give it dust and water resistivity.

The Galaxy S21 FE’s connectivity aspects include support for 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC. The handset runs on a 4,500 mAh battery and supports 25W fast wired charging. It also comes with 15W wireless charging support.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE All Variants, Price, India Sale Details

The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE will be available in two different models. The base model packed with 128GB storage is priced at GBP 699 which is around Rs. 70,000, while the 256GB storage model’s price is set at EUR 749 (approx. Rs. 75,000). The color options announced as White, Graphite, Lavender, and Olive. While the handset has been announced officially, the India launch date is yet to be revealed. Samsung has been adding new models to its affordable smartphone lineup across the globe.  We have seen numerous budget devices last in both Galaxy A and the Galaxy M series. The Samsung Galaxy A03 is initially being made available in Vietnam. It will be available in the remaining global markets including India sometime later. As far as its first sale in Vietnam is concerned, the brand has scheduled the same on January 10. The price of the Galaxy A03’s base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is set at VND 2,990,000 which is somewhere close to Rs. 9.700.

On the other hand, the Galaxy A03 with 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage will be available for purchase at VND 3,490,000 which is roughly around Rs. 11,400 in Indian currency. The color options which the masses will be able to choose from are red, black, and dark green. We still have got no update from Samsung regarding the Galaxy A03’s India launch. As mentioned previously, the Galaxy A03 is an entry-level offering by the South Korean giant. Driving this handset is an octa-core Unisoc T606 processor which is clubbed with 3GB/4GB RAM. This handset offers dual storage options including 32GB and 64GB. It also has provision for external microSD card support via a 3-way dedicated SIM slot.

The Samsung Galaxy A03 employs an IPS LCD panel that measures 6.5-inches. The display supports a standard 720 x 1600 pixels HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The display sports a waterdrop notch which stores a 5MP camera for selfies.

The Galaxy A03’s back panel features a dual-camera setup where the primary sensor is a 48MP lens with an f/1.8 aperture. The additional sensor is a 2MP lens that has an f/2.4 aperture and is used for depth mapping. This entry-level Samsung phone comes void of a physical fingerprint scanner but offers Face Unlock and other standard privacy options. A 5,000 mAh battery rounds off the spec sheet. Notably, this model doesn’t have any fast charging support.
